I used to be a night porter at this venue it’s used to be scary at night in basement when we had to visit during our rounds. But the lifts were old fashion and the old swimming pool and was cool to see. Oh that brought so many memories but the pipe works are creepy but from the top floor I can look out window and see station and view was nice at night. We used to get 30 suitcases in that wee lift what a squeeze it was
Beautiful views from those top rooms, love drone footage 😍 Happy new year to you and yours Alec, thanks for a great year of explores and here's to another year of them 🍻 😘 cheers guys xx 🏴 Lang may yer lum reek 🏴
Such a nice place, lucky u got to see it not trashed. The location is beautiful, I love the mountains. I like how maze-like that building is, easy to get lost but just as easy to loose someone following u. Thanks for taking us there Alec!
That is a huge property and it looks like it was beautiful when it was operating! The view of the surrounding land is gorgeous! And, as usual, the stills are great! Thanks Alec!
All this talk of homelessness/ people struggling to get affordable housing!! Why don't the damn government take over these abandoned buildings and renovate 'em into affordable flats?
All the best Alec and happy squad yet again fantastic content sad to see these places shut the cost of living is so high now familys can't afford to go to fancy places like this.
Hi alec, thank you for the explore.what a beautiful hotel.shame it closed.when the lift , came down and the doors opened i thought someone would b standing in the lift. what a shock that would be.
Happy new year Alec & crew Great explore as always, so many Abandoned hotels, busineses Result of this cost of living/greed of government crisis i guess ?!! Looking forward to 2023 content, all the best guys.
How did we manage in the 1950s, before they invented ski resorts ? ( and without lifts ). Answer- there was real snow everywhere, and no-one told us where or when you could ski. Now we have global warning, the latest snow report reads - 10cm artificial snow. - Lifts open - 2 out of 11.
Happy new year to you and the gang. Knew where this place was when I saw the thumbnail, been in the area a few times. Somebody I knew told me their dad worked here years ago. Great to see the inside. All the best 👍
Big hotel. Really nice. Carpet wasn't my cup of tea. Wonder why it closed. Didn't see a calender. Really creeps me out when I see made beds in abandoned buildings. Loved the pics and the drone footage Alec. Happy New Year. Looking forward to more explores. Cheers!
This place is endless the surroundings is amazing and the views. Some lovely rooms and most things still left such ashame .the furnishing still left. .I wonder for what reason it had to close .this would be a lill gem for another buyer so must could be done with it
It's a shame that the furniture, in good condition, was not sold when they closed. Instead of being left rot. Gee there are a lot of things left behind. And hoe did they move that ornament display tree without all of them off? Oh my gosh this is a beautiful place. Does anyone know when it closed?
Big hotels need good trade 9.11 killed this for coach companies and hotels . Chineese cut days out went cheep . Up came covid 19 no where for so many . Asaian hotel owners go rent serco illigals or close and lock up and demolish.
