That place was *mahoosive* !! This beautiful house has been everything from a private home to a hotel and boarding school run by nuns !! Sadly the person who this house was built for lost 4 of his sons in the 2nd world war. Can you imagine how utterly heartbreaking that must have been. Loved this explore and loved your editing to put the old photos in of last time Alec 💕 I like Rab too, seems a really nice bloke, wondering if he has own channel too. Such a shame the roof coming down in parts because rest of it is immaculate, it's soooo nice to see a place not vandalised for once 🙂 I love love love drone footage, gives you a whole new perspective on a building 👍Thanks for the tour guys, take care x
Great explore Alec.. loved it a proper maze.. so typical of the lochs and glens hotels we've stayed in.. shame left abandoned.. it will soon go into disrepair with the collapsed ceilings.. loved the pics and drone footage.. thanks again.. Ali .👍
Awesome explore Alec. What a beautiful building. I hope it will be repaired before the water damage gets any worse. Well done and stunning photos as always.
I remember this beauty after I saw the pool. Not bad a condition. I'm very glad to see no vandalism here. I take it nothing has happened with it? Too bad. It's so nice. Great pics and re explore. 👌
This place is huge! But it’s in wonderful condition, very convenient. But each turn you guys took, I got lost. Ty so much for the great tour and video. Tc Alec, catch ya in the next one.
A shame when nature takes over as she usually does.A wonderful hotel ,the chimney stacks are huge. Many happy days in this building when it was a 🛏️ hotel..Thank you Alex for the tour.😊🏡
I actually spent a few days attending a conference at Kild....House in the 1980s (organised by BAe at Prestwick Airport). The wood clad conference room was stunning. Such a shame to see it unused.
Love the Videos! I love Exploring Also Never been across the Pond ( Atlantic) and here in the usa we don't really have the Historical places as Scotland!
I wish you spoke more about what you were saying in the in the house or hotel I wish you would just driving with machine and we would have been actually more with you but what it is is what it is you didn't give no history of property itself is for your field awesome but I did enjoy watching I just wish I knew more about the place like you were saying thank you very much your friend from Thailand
Guys thanks 👍 alot naye nga it's risky. Really some people there just extravagant how could you abandoned such a property. I'm begging government to restore that property for homeless people or orphanage. Because billion and billions of money are rotten. If it's about taxes just for give him or her l mean the owner.
It’s so lousy how they filled in most of the fireplaces. I hate when they do that. If they redid the roof and fixed the plaster it would be a really nice place. It’s a massive house.
What an amazing place. How did none ever find their way around? It is vast! Yu could house an army in there and have room left over. I am amazed the place hasn't been looted but with the power still on you could take up residence!
Why are these buildings not being utilized they could be crowd funded project to improve peoples lives who live in the cities and who never see nature or rest bite care ficilities
With the exception of the staircases, wood paneling, doors and moldings, the inside of this beautiful building is pretty dismal. Evidently it had been 'redecorated' in 1980's bland. The rooms were not horrible, but I guess I just expected more. What really stands out are the hideous puffy leather sofas in that one room! Likely the worst style I have ever seen. Makes me nauseous just to think about them.
There's been reports of a caretaker on site according to the buildings at risk register for years and a car parked up outside but when I visited I saw no sign of anyone and given the fact the poster was able to walk through the building unmolested, seems like the caretaker may not be around 24/7
@@Fatboy103. I was referencing the poster of the vid as far as wandering the building goes but assuming your information is accurate then probably a good thing.
Abandoned my arse the grass yous walked through looked cut yisterday actually believed it till a seen at lot a crap man same guys that called wan Street the chernobable a Scotland 😂😂
A striking modern mansion, reminiscent of work of Sir Edwin Lutyens. (Historic Scotland) Euan Wallace MP inherited the estate on condition that he made it his home. He employed Miller to design this enormous house in English Manorial Revival style, complete with a theatre and indoor tennis courts. Kildonan was ready for occupation by 1923, the world it was designed for had all but vanished and the interiors were never completed. (Rob Close) Euan Wallace's second wife, Barbara Lutyens, was the daughter of architect Sir Edwin Lutyens.Building Dates1914-1923ArchitectsJames Miller Category of Risk and Development History ConditionFairCategory of RiskLowExemptions to State of RiskField Visits26/11/2009, 19/04/2012, 17/9/2014Development HistoryJune 2009: Nominated for inclusion by a member of the public. Member of the public is concerned that the property currently has no resident caretaker and is infrequently occupied and does not feel external maintenance has been carried out for number of years (there are a considerable number of missing and broken slates, advanced corrosion to steel casement windows and there are a few sizeable tree saplings growing from chimney stacks). This place is in no way abandoned! I find it very disrespectful that you would intrude on someone’s home. Since you videoed there has been so much vandalism and police are involved. Would you enjoy someone entering your private home?
This isn’t acceptable at all. I have seen a few videos from the channel go the same way. Making it obvious where they are isn’t acceptable and entering places clearly not abandoned and putting them on RU-vid isn’t acceptable. 3 minutes on google makes it obvious the building has a known owner and the grounds are maintained when they turned up
It’s becoming a weekly thing with the police and dog units at this house. And yet this person thinks it’s acceptable to encourage people on social media to go.
