Exploring a recently abandoned hotel, this explore was actually the same day we explored the abandoned swimming baths a few videos prior to this one, hence the same urbexrs in this video RAW Footage in Scotland
Hi Alec! I enjoyed the explore, lot of fun for me. Abandoned Dec 2019 with the power still on is very strange to me. Can’t wait for your next explore! 👍❤️😊
Nice place and no alarms! Good on ya, you got to see the place post-liquidation-pre-vandalized! Full day of exploring must have been great. Cheers again!
Big place and clean pretty much. Big kitchen and lights still on in areas. Great explore 👍 up. Alec as always great job 🙂 enjoyed watching. Thanks for sharing ☺️. Your pictures are GREAT.
Highlight of the week Alec waiting on you uploading a new video. Initially I thought this might be the Normandy Hotel but when you gained access and proceeded to show how sprawling the place that thought went out the window. So sad to see a business on its knees and try to recoup some of its losses by selling off everything. I don’t think it will be long before this place could be completely ransacked and trashed. Hope none of their previous guests asked for a room with a view cos I. Think they might have been a wee bit disappointed. Perhaps you need some subtext for your overseas viewers eg ‘ it’s howling in there’ translates as room service had not been in attendance that day . 😂Many thanks for sharing 👍
This is horrible to watch for me personally, I used to use the gym here weekly and it suddenly shut, pre Covid I must add. I feel sorry for all those who lost their jobs. I live round the corner from here and the locals were very upset to hear of the hotel closing. So sad to see how it's degraded in just a matter of months. Another interesting video, keep safe team.
Trasladar la mente a mundos inexplorados es una hermosa manera de vivir la diferencia. Gracias por el esfuerzo que haces por darnos ese regalo. Un saludo especial desde mi hermosa Colombia.😘
Stayed there a number of times sad to see its demise. Always liked those bedrooms you explored near the end and interesting to see behind the scenes where a guest doesn’t get to go. Didn’t realise how big the place was. Always a friendly welcome there feel sorry the staff have lost their livelihood. Really enjoyed your explore.
Yeah they should not be doing this if I was near here I would of rung the police and got them arrested for breaking and entering a premises which has close down
worked here for a combined two & half years, such shame to see the hotel like this :( - I actually was the last one to close the front hotel door along with my GM. So sad
Yes it’s very sad when you see a business like that go to the wall. Especially as it cost people their jobs. Do you know why the Hotel closed down? And what it was called?
Yep I was there when the place folded my last day was the Tuesday before valintines day after we got hit with the bad news on the Monday at 3pm I had wondered why they were dropping the "Hilton" name seemed rather odd but soon found out Kinda miss the place myself tbh! Shame
Any clip that starts with heavy breathing and not long after, an "Aye" , gets my attention 😛 Seeing they had the social distancing circles, maybe closed due to Covid? And having a revamp? Bloody massive place
Now demolished it was owned by Hilton before it closed they pulled out of this and their beach hotel just before covid really hit. More a down turn in the oil industry. I know a few folk in the retirement flats who bought there because of the hymn and pool avaliability
Looked like the employees came back and had a drinking party and trashed some of it. But left some bottles in case they had to come back.... Very sketchy showing that window that lifts out from the outside xD. And because you can't watch every person who goes in with a group that size, if something is broken your all responsible... I do love your video's but don't show us the way you get in please, it could get you into trouble.
Great explore as always, Alec. It was sad to see it like this, I have stayed in this hotel many times with my coach parties. I always enjoyed my time here, went for a swim too. It was always a pleasure to stay, you got a tasty warm cookie when you arrived. I wish it was the Britannia hotel that had closed, it's an absolute dump! It went on fire a few years ago, unfortunately the firemen saved it! There's another abandoned hotel near the beach, don't know if you could get in to explore, it was an excellent hotel too.
I wonder why they just left.It looked like a very clean nice place to stay.at one time.someone has vandalized it.a lot could be saved or sold.what a huge olace.take care.
Poor management staff were kept in the dark from Oct 2019,company stopped communication and ran the place up until staff were informed in February of 2020 at a shock meeting I'm a former employee it was a nice place to work tbf had it not gone rupt I'd still be there as breakfast chef.
@@lynnestewart2886 sadly the wrecking balls and builders got in before lockdown 3 and it's demolished... if it's within your 5mile radius, have a drive by!!
@@Corkedwolf43771 It's weird though, they must have bee doing something inside that was open to the public (just selling the stuff it was showing toward the end of the video?) as thy had social distancing markers on the floor, which didn't exist anywhere until during the pandemic.

There's nothing in this video that has said they've broken and entered! If they found an opening then they can enter as there is no trespassing laws in Scotland either😅
@@AlanRafferty doesn't really speak any volumes tbh, could be the fact they found entrance doesn't mean it was breaking in! Could be the fact they don't want potential vandals going in and burning it! Can already see you've found them guilty without facts🙃
Such a shame, this will be the case with many wedding venues and hotels in Scotland in the 'New Normal' With little or no funding to help keep these places afloat.
You guys should check out John Rogers exploring videos, doesn’t invade buildings but they are much more interesting because he somehow includes the viewer in the journey with info and speaking through the camera. Yours are ok, due to the natural curiosity but there’s no empathy with you and your journey. Fair play though for not damaging, only documenting!
I like your videos would love to visit one day I did DNA test my relatives came from there a couple hundreds years ago love history have learn a little would like to know more.
It's now being demolished. Flats & houses will be built on the site. www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/news/local/video-demolition-begins-on-former-aberdeen-treetops-hotel/
Oh my what a pleasant change a place in Scotland that has not been completely trashed with the usual idiots, I just dont get it why do they have to do it. That is a really big hotel enjoyed the explore. Stay safe.
I'm third. Hee Hee! Excellent video. Very recent abandonment. Nice, nice hotel. Wonder why? Love tripping with you Alec, so much fun and so very interesting. Cheers man. Or maybe fourth?
Don’t understand why the people who have made this video, would want to make a video of this! All there doing is letting people see its not open but it’s accessible to enter .To me these people are doing more harm than good, maybe they need to stop filming outside the premises as this is letting too many people know where they are.
Acho que foi abandonado por causa dessa pandemia ninguém está saindo pra nada tem até álcool gel no balcão.... É a crise chegou em muitos lugares é pena espero que tudo volta a funcionar né
Please tell us all where this is and the name as now you have trespassed do the owners a favour and advertise this place, try get it reopened as it looks an amazing place, ❤️👍
Stayed in that aboot 4 yrs ago was decent hotel you walked right past the room i stayed in checked into there after another refusing shitty brittania hotel in bucksburn
