I’m a 64 yo woman and I enjoy seeing these houses. My grandsons got me hooked on a game called Minecraft when they were young. So anytime I see one mansion/house I really like, I usually end up building it in my Minecraft world. Thanks!

This is the gorgeous Château Gairgouille. It was built in 1882-1884 in the Neo Gothic style. I hope someone restores this place one day, however judging by the landscaping, I would say it is decently kept up and although nobody lives there it most likely is currently owned by someone. The tile mosaic work is exquisite and I have never come across anything so beautiful. There is so much going for this place, it truly deserves to be fully restored and lived in again. Gothic architects in general is scarce these days and needs to be protected

In my experience, it’s usually some sort of health hazard found in the home like asbestos , mold, architectural failure , or severe damages from harsh weather. Sometimes it’s a death in the family and no one wants the home or can afford to take it. Sometimes people leave because they themselves can no longer afford it. Who knows though? It’s sad to see these gorgeous homes and buildings waste away..

That was absolutely, by far, the MOST stunning creation I've ever seen. I immediately wanted to renovate and move in. It floors me that such phenomenal architecture can be abandoned like that. If I had millions I would be inquiring as to how to obtain ownership. God, I fell in love.

There is a massive haunted mansion in Lake Forest, Illinois if you are interested. The individual who owned it killed himself after his wife died and left a suicide note in his room. The owner, Charles Schweppe, was the CEO of Schweppe drinks. (The property is owned by Berkshire Hathaway but you could easily get a tour)

Im already takin notes for research with that same plan in mind,,, ready for a big flip to my script!!! My kids know every damn thing for the time being anyway till they learn otherwise the hard way what I tried like hell to show them and teach them... So they got no time for dad anymore, & im juz plain sick about it but plum tired of just spinning my wheels & watching what was a pretty successful and cool life fly by me, when I should get back to truly living again and go back to building custom choppers again one of my true love's and riding as much as I possibly can, all over that beautiful countryside surrounding that beautiful home, I'll always be home to start the grill though!! Unless of course you decided to hop on one of my bikes with me I will just lie to grill some damn where else till we get home!!! Fun to dream!!! I believe it keeps hope within us keeps our souls from dying,,, a couple of top notch bikes a year would provide a decent living to go with whatever of my other talent/hobbies income & the welcome peace from not waiting on anyone to relocate their need for my precence in their life which is slowly killing me me, ive got soo much more to do in this life than that!!! And to be clear, i dont mean give up, or stop caring in any way... They are my everything, my every hope n dream comr true!! That will never change , but why am i tortured & punished while they duke it out with life in their own way, ive raised them well, but like all of us , they simply refuse to go on wisdom n expieriance, and skip the ruff shit, and find out on their own terms,,, they know im always just a call away and would kill and die fir them them without question , soo , im ready to live again & make some new things happen in my life that can breath new life into mt ragged heart & soul !!! What da hell good friends & a haunyed gargoyle mansion is a great placr to start , Hell the owners mighy even appreciate, the benifit of someone caring for the home & getting benifit from it , rather than just know its slowly rotting away & doing no good fir anyone... What a shameful waste with folks like us looking for a home preloaded with Casper's n orbs , n power suckers that are surely pretty lonely by now!... Lol Holla,

Tell me where this place is and I will move in immediately. I can't see how someone could leave that beautiful piece of architechture alone like that. It is wonderful. Seriously, I would claim that if possible. The gargoles are too keep bad spirits away. I am putting one on top of my house I am rebuilding in Missouri. I would really love to see this place and find out who own it and why it is empty. You can put elderly people in it and make a good income. That is what I will be doing. A place like this should not go to waste.

That mansion was actually owned by one of the managers from Disney world and it was also used in ghost buster in one of the scenes In which they enter the house and there is silence but because of financial issues he had to leave the house and had to shift to Paris he has recently past In 2018 October 3

THis building appears to be masonic . The windows you show at approximately 2.58 minutes have four panels with the two upper windows being smaller then the bottom windows. Creating a cross. There are crosses in the side entrance are the same size up and down to left to right. The building has a strange energy

One person above said someone who worked for Disney owned it and died. Disney was a 33 degree mason. Biggest Satanist corporation and pediphile group ever. I am sure it is full of dark energy. I love a place that looks like that, but dark spirits of those who have died at the hands of others, is not good. You could go crazy in a place like that. Very haunted. Not good at all. Spirits go in and out of people all the time without them knowing it. I do hypnosis and pull out spirits from people places and things. Great Vid! Watching you trying to figure out the reproductions of historical architecture was so funny! So, here what is actually correct... Gargoyles from The Old Middle French (1500'sc.) Gargoule. Meaning "throat" and additionally from Medieval Latin Gargola, ruffly translated as "To gargle" are Grotesques which are used as part of the guttering of a building. Gargoyles will ALWAYS have water spouting from their mouths. These are 1st scene in European architecture 13c.- 16c. Grotesques ( what we see in the vid )Originally a noun (1560sc.), from the Middle French crotesque meaning "a whimsical figure, or scene", DO NOT have a water spouts like the afore mentioned gargoyles, but are simply stone carvings, or paintings of creatures. These can be seen within the exterior or interior of a buildings architecture and mostly evidenced on churches and cathedrals in Europe. However, these should not be confused with the faces carved in the interior eaves of many European churches. These are known as "Eavesdroppers" 900c. old English, yfesdrype and used to symbolise God (or King) listening and watching the church congregations secrets conversations without the permission of God. In so many words God ( or King) is all seeing and hearing. I Hope this helps.

My God. Combine those 2 Mansions and it's my dream home. You can feel and almost visualize the people who used to live there. The interior decoration looks sort of William Morris / Arts and Crafts Movement Josh. Late 19th century and British not French. The second mansion looks like Art Déco or Art Nouveau. I'm guessing though.

That place is gorgeous ! The reason behind gargoyles being used , I'd say serve 2 purposes First they were used as decorative water spouts to protect the walls from water damage and like the 200 year old church I was married in, gargoyles are said to frighten off and to protect those that it guards. They are said to frighten off negative, evil spirits. They are known as grotesques. I love gargoyles. Since I was very young I've always been attracted to them, something magical about them.

The inside tile work of the Gargoyle mansion looks like a combination of medieval style artwork (think about the appearance of zoo morphed medieval/Celtic Tapestries), topped with Italian style decorative tile work.

With the Egyptian dog statue with "Kebir" on the collar could be a reference to the Battle of Tell El Kebir, which was a battle between Egyptians and British forces, resulting in a British victory. So whoever owned this absolutely beautiful and definitely rebuildable home must be a veteran of the battle.

The howling you heard in the background could have been a pack of Beagle dogs. Beagles are commonly used for hunting, and they make, what is know as a bailing noise when they catch a specific scent. So, there was most likely a hunter around the woods or something.

FYI- Gothic is an architectural style. Doesn't matter if it's a church or a house. Gargoyles are rain spouts, if not, they are called a Grotesque. (Thank you art history). The tile work could be Spanish with Moorish influence. All the red and the dogs may tie into someone's heraldry images.

It's good that you are doing all of this while you're still pretty young in age cause you got that energy to keep you moving. I'm 45 and exhausted just watching you do it on my laptop lol. One would have to be devoid of soul & conscious to vandalize/destroy/desecrate properties such as these (or any really) No respect or reverence for what can only be described as artwork that stirs ones soul My heart began breaking at the sight of the first broken stained glass window

Those were 2 of the most interesting mansions I've seen. They were just beautiful!! I know you are on a time limit but the beauty of these 2 places deserved more time spent on them that they got. Those doors and huge fireplace.... So amazing!! I love your videos too.

If you havent already, Trans Allegheny luntic asylum is a really cool place to explore, its not abandoned but you can take tours day or night, it is in West Virginia!

That second mansion's staircase is amazing. I've never seen a staircase like it. Even the wooden staircase was amazing. I loved that place!
