It made me very sad too. I see so many times, things that meant everything to their parents, their ungrateful kids don't care about. I cherish my things I have left from my parents. That place looked like it was very cute at one time. I wish I knew where it was. I would buy it and fix it up. It just looks like it was so peaceful living there. Maybe it's a vibe I get, that the couple was very happy there. Which is what makes it all the more sad and tragic that their kid didn't care enough to take care of their things they held dear. I am only at 1:44, so I just started but it gave me a feeling of overwhelming sadness and had to check out the comment section to see if anyone else felt it too.
Look like a good place for the Grandkids to hang out with the grandparents!! Stuff like this of past days gone bye makes us a little happy and sad thanks for the video ❤️😊😭😊😭
I saw this video a long time ago, but enjoyed seein it again. I like grannys' stuff. I would've enjoyed bein friends with her, and workin on hobbies with her.
Was a nice mobile home back in the day. I would say seventies going by the green color of the tub and sink along with the red brick linoleum on the floor. Not to mention all the wall paneling so popular during that time. Those glass figurines in the closet looked like Hummel figurines which were and maybe still are very collectible. It's a shame the usable things weren't taken out and something good done with them if they were not wanted. I hate to see waste like this. Great video.....enjoyed it!
Your films make me humble...... I myself have lost everything and had to start over..... thank God I'm a veteran..... I know why things left behind you take what you can fit in bags.... bite your tongue ....and move.. on ....military made me strong and I'm a single woman!!!! I have no family 😥
I don't understand why this place wasn't cleaned out by the family. I'd be very upset if all my belongings were left like that. At least donate them someplace. They obviously had children I just think it's so disrespectful. My opinion of course. Thanks Hunter nice job!
It was! You did not notice the Auto, the Lawn Mower, the Fridge, the Jewellery The Stove & Table, & Grand dads Rifles all gone? Families do not ever want the Grand parents clothes, or furniture. Yes I agree, to leave it to literally rot away & be eaten by Mice is unfortunate. They just grab the $ & valuables & buggered off.
That's the way I feel about seeing all that stuff rotting away. I told my children that I would haunt them if they just trashed my things. When my mother died we cleaned her place out and donated her things.
they probably took what they wanted - as someone who jumps in house clean-out dumpsters from time to time - I can say most house clean-outs - they literally throw out boxes and boxes of personal effects without even looking through them - of course - the bank could own this (they would rather let something rot as opposed to take a loss) - or there could have been a tax lien on the place - and the kids were like "i don't want to deal with that" - most people have been so brainwashed by "Hoarders" they instantly want to toss anything old (to the point where Ive found whole boxes of jewelry and things tossed out...)
my grandfather was hospitalized for years in another town and my grandmother went to be with him there. over and over people would break into their "abandoned" home. Made my grandmother's life so hard....
These are the homes that squatters should be aloud to live in with the agreement to clean and fix them up. People who are down on their luck who just need a chance. People who are good law abiding citizens.
Another great one Hunter! I love how you get the REAL story from the neighbors. You are so respectful, and set such a good example for other explorers.Thank you for the time you put into your videos . I really appreciate your integrity and honesty.
You are brave. Some stuff is worth saving but you need a giant dumpster. Sad that family left that there. Thanks for the tour. I love that, looking for treasure. I said out loud to nobody "Aw, they had a LIFE" and you said "isn't that the truth". Foster parents.....
Snakeskins hanging from ceiling nice touch. Awesome. Wonder what kind of snake. I'd be very careful if I saw that. We have areas around us with nests of rattlers. Thanks for the great video!
The last time that place had people in it i was 8 years old 11/16/1981 and it was cool to see the old screw in fuses that was in the back bedroom...great video
Hunter so glad your back! Yes you were greatly missed. Great explore, sad about the elderly couple. I can just picture Grandma sitting in her comfy chair watching tv. Really good camera work. Looking forward to more from you. Take care.
Chloe would be about 34 yrs old now...if she was 6 in 1989. Also, would have been interesting to see inside the Bible, people usually write family information in the first few pages.
The people did not die in 1989. The girl Chloe will be younger than you think. My guess the elderly lady left the Day from when the Grand dad passed away, or her daughter got married, some significant day, leave it to remind herself some important day.
The skate is probably before 1970 The yellow airplane looks like it has a Cox 027 engine and had two guide wires. The operator flew it in a circle around himself the string controlled the elevation. People I've had to cleanup 3 relatives homes and there is only so much that can be taken. If the place is not sellable it is easier and cheaper to just leave it.
Nice job Hunter- I love the fact that you have respect for these places- other people don't- So thank you. I found it sad that their kids didn't care to come and take their parents stuff. Again - Great Job Hunter! 👍🏼
+spike zezel Thank u it means a lot to hear that Cuz I'm always getting bitched at that I don't show enough respect but I try my hardest... people just don't understand how hard it can be to watch for ur safety, film and look around for ur self. So thank u again!
Wow. Some of the things in that house bring back such memories. I think every house in the 60's had those toilet paper doll covers with the knitted skirt.
Hi Hunter. Great explore. What a waste if alot of cool things. I hate waste. The metal roller skate goes back to at least 1970, that's what I learned to skate on. I also recognized three little pink jars on a shelf in the bathroom, those are Avon, fragranced lotions. They sold them like that in the 70's-90's for sure, don't know after that, my mom sold Avon forever. Thanks for the great video.
Wow..That was an old Bible. I wondered how many times they read from it over their years together. Also that lol doll that you said weird to in the bathroom was used to sit atop toilet paper to hide it. Great vid...Thank you
I had that airplane around 1982. It was sold for many years. Called a control line airplane. They had a tiny cox .049 engine on it. You would stand in one place and the plane would fly around you in a circle. The only control was up and down and that was with a plastic handle rigged to the 2 strings on the side of the plane. That is was actuated the elevator. They were fun, but could be a pain to get running. Nice explore. Did you share this video with the neighbors?
Although it’s decayed badly ! You get a feel of the life before. A cosy grandma a cosy home at one time. I’d personally love to live in an isolated place . Thanks for this very interesting from England
Damn, at 3:34 the scene is gorgeous. Kinda looks like WV....I lived in Martinsburg, and near WV in Winchester, VA, Mount Jackson, VA...all beautiful areas. Good to see a place not hit with vandals, and copper thieves. Or a place without 92 penises, pot leaves and some satanic crap all over the walls by stupid kids.
Well Sir! Ain't nobody gonna get the chance to pilfer my crap. I've already sold everything of value, going to give the rest away. Have put the land up for sale, moving to a retirement home in a month, then gonna burn everything else to the ground.
Boy I feel old, memories for me, I live in a 1986 Renovated Mobile Home now. I worry when my Husband and I pass away if people will go through our stuff.😟💗
You had me at "biggun' " Hunter! What if the snake got grandma? All of these abandoned homes are sad. But you are documenting the very last memories of what were once, clean, warm, livable houses...hopefully full of happy memories. Good work !!!
The Hummel figurines are worth money. The ones you said you see in cabinets/ curios. The skates usually have a key to tighten them. Yes, a lot of cool old stuff in there. Thanks ! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you Hunter!!! This has been a very gratifying trek with you. I really enjoyed each and every step you took as well as every word you guided for us to see what you gave us so we did not miss anything. Again....Thank you so very much! :^)
I'm commenting a bit here, I know lol But, it's places like this, that really have a personal feeling to them. As we look around, it almost feels as if I knew or know them, and feels similar to a "missing" them feeling. It's like they should still be there or something. Might sound a bit odd to say, but it's secluded, and everything was left like they were there last week. But, I can't place it...it's like you know or knew them and now you're visiting them at home.
B. fagan , I think sad is the word you are looking for. we are perusing through their most precious private objects that represent a lifetime as they slowly decay into oblivion. a fate we all with all our material existence will share. a reflection of our own mortality. as death connects us ALL who have walked this Earth.
I like your channel because you seem to (mostly) hold the camera still for just about long enough so I can see what I'm looking-at. You know, some things you see in an abandoned house, you need time to react to some of that crazy stuff ! And that's important really too, cos not Everybody Does that.. but the Best ones DO -in my humble opinion. Great vid by the way.
Looks like someone quickly rifled through it all looking for cash and valuables. I doubt it would be family because it certainly wasn't very respectfully done even if they only cared about the money. Family also would have been able to sell some of the items , and/or property "as is". I would guess thieves. Likely found some too. Older people usually hide cash in their homes. When my great uncle passed away his neighbor cleaned him out. They knew he hid cash in old books because my uncle confided in him as a friend. As soon as he passed the neighbor pretended he was just interested in owning the books. You can guess the rest. There was THOUSANDS hidden because he was a vet, and he also had owned a business for many years. His kids lost out because they couldn't prove anything.
oh wow! that old skate! me and my sisters had some just like that back in the day,(the late 50s early 60s), geez, the memories that brought back! :-) :-)
This is so sad that the family didn't care enough about the lady to clean out her home and keep her belongings i guess it's like the saying goes out of sight out of mind.. I couldn't ever leave my granny's house in that condition
Do you just knock on surrounding doors do enquire about these places? I really want to explore some of the abandoned farms in my area before they're destroyed, been thinking of asking neighbors first
my grandma lived in a double wide mobile home from 1997 until she passed away in 2020 it was very similar to this only the layout was different. these old mobile homes take me back to the days with my grandmother 🥲
Rachelynn 307 my grandparents have 2 trailers on their property that belonged to their parents who died in the 70's/ 80's. after they died they used them for storage but other than that they just left them as they were.they are still there to this day
Hannah Perry that's great but I was leaning more towards some of the items I was seeing lol. Like the Great Value jello in the cupboard when he first gets into the trailer. It didn't look like it was from the 80s. Neither did the bag of chips in the microwave.
The calendar on the kitchen wall doesn't mean a thing. I've known countless people over the years that had old calendars still hanging and their homes or offices. Some older people just don't throw things away like others do.
This is the best of all of your videos by far cause you took your time and went through and Yes, I think ladies kin went through and took what was of value and left all the rest to rot,
Another great explore, it did look like someone had been through the drawer's. they most likely were looking for jewelry, or money that had been stashed, and then forgotten.
13:05 I had one of those. It's a 1970s wired RC airplane. Basically you could start it, take off and fly it around in circles. It got kind of boring fast. LOL.
I bet that was a cozy little property back in the day. I bet the grandkids had a lot of fun there especially with that stream from the culvert. That’s just asking to have a toy boat put in it
This one brought tears to my eyes. Was there any family members close by or anyone wanting to take care of the elderly couples possessions? It is so sad to me that any family members would just walk away and not place any value on the couples lives. RIP... :(
Also that’s a newer furnace with the energy star sticker on the door leaning against the opposite wall. Neat how there is such a mix with the old and the new(er)
Another great video Hunter...I think those little "glass dolls" are called Hummels, very collectable(if your into that) and they were big in the 80's and 9o's. I dont know if those were Hummels but it would say it on the bottom. I would be so freaked out if I saw that snake skin there...OMG!! Keep up the good work!!
Hi, Hunter ! Those figurines you picked up are Hummel, believe they are worth money to collectors. Those skates need a key ? Then they'd be 50's-60's. Cool video, but sad. Stay safe & thank you. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🇺🇸
Just watched the whole video. So sad their kid (s) left all their stuff rot, including the family bible. I saw Hummels which are worth money, and the small ceramic toilet was cute too. I bet there are still some cute little gems in there. I'd say the trailer is late 60's, early 70's by the design. The Great Value stuff puts the time they were still there to at least in the 90's. Just so very sad all their house was trashed and their belongings left for the vandals. I bet it was a nice trailer at one time. But at least no one put graffiti in there. Everyone is scared of snakes. I love snakes and was much more scared of the wasp (I am allergic) and the creepy dolls. lol Very cool video. Thanks so much for sharing. You have a new subscriber. :) Can't wait to watch more of your videos. :)
Lol, I know Hunter is playing around at 18:00 He points to the pillow that it looks like someone's head still laying there then a circle of light shines on the pillow (if that isn't Hunter then...) but not even a second later 18:01 the best Orb I saw here shoots up out of the bed and when I caught it freeze frame I am not even joking it was an older lady with her eyes bugging out looking at the pillow- freaky ! Really cool video the ones with lotsa stuff are the best and most dangerous be careful Hunter where you reach hands/arms- you also may want to get some lightweight non-slip boots, what size are you ?
Wauw that snake was huge and then one more, glad you didn't encountered it in there eeek :) Seems snakeskin follows you around. Great video loved seeing all the old stuff.
Agree.... this was someone's "home". It is so sad to see the culmination of a human beings existence left in such a state...the family could have taken some care with their belongings.
There was no car inside. I saw what the camera was seeing when it was pointing in at the top of the garage door. Just a lot of junk and debris. Is the mobile home still standing or has it been torn down since your visit in it?
