They say it's cursed. I don't know, but I was unlucky enough to visit it after it was boarded up and alarmed because of the fire there on April 17, 2022.
It used to be wide open to explore but that also let to a lot of vandalism.
They started to rumor of a curse because of a string of family deaths.
David Abercrombie who was the co-founder of the famous Abercrombie and Fitch clothing retail stores started building the castle in 1925. His daughter Lucy died in 1929 as the castle was being completed. She died in an explosion at her father's factory. Two years later, David himself passed away in the castle.
His son David Jr. died six years after him.
The castle was named ELDA after his four children, Elizabeth, Lucy Jr, David Jr, and Abbott.
It's located in Ossining, New York and is considered a Historic Landmark.
I heard that spiral staircases are PORTALS for spirits or ghosts and there are many in the castle. I mention PORTALS a couple of times in the video but don't explain what I mean by PORTAL.
Portals are supernatural doorways that spirits or ghosts can travel through between our world and theirs.
I also edited out a lot of me running around checking boarded windows and doors so the video may look choppy in places or look like I'm jumping from one part of the building to another. I also didn't want to make it super long.
