You guys have done a great job but .... and i also know how hard is it to be a youtuber but the cliping seems to contain 60% of your personal footages and less on the content also i couldint get a correct perspective or knowlage of the balconies, stabls, pools, other exteriors ..... etc . Also the vidio was a bit shaky.

Yes, there is no cartel! When we see beautiful things like this abandoned, there are always mysteries around it and people tend to create myths and rumours about it! This house was from the founder of Solbi, the largest Portuguese distributor of computer equipment back in the 90s!

It’s not that they don’t have the money , they built it illegally with out permits or permission to build in that area they said .

@@jeesssy93 You need to read in the commentary from the person from Portugal that has more info about the place. The bank owns it and it is supposed to go up for auction sometime in the near future. The guy who built it didn't get the permits needed to build but I think that was the only legal entanglement. The company he sold or the company he worked for went bankrupt or something to that effect. I didn't quite understand that part. That is how the bank ended up with it.

@@jeesssy93 You would be better off finding the comment from the person from Portugal who gave that info than going by mine. The one thing I did find on my own is that Portugal's economy is on the rebound but from the looks of it most of the emphasis is on the coastal regions for tourism. I don't think the mountain regions get nearly the same attention for tourism. So even though the economy is getting better I doubt that this place would get any benefit from the government to put any effort into fixing it up for tourism. That's why I said I was hoping someone would step up and put some money into it meaning someone privately. The guy who had it built used it for entertaining for his business I believe.

@@Explomo I don't know exactly when you went there to film guys, but it seems very clean compared to the time I visited it. People have broken the monuments, windows, the pool is full of trash...Such a shame and a pity that people do not respect the beauty of these places. I wonder how it was at the first moment, when nobody vandalised it :( Thank you for respecting these places!

Ei pessoal. Eu sou portugues. Eu estava pesquisando artigos sobre este lugar e o que entendi é: Aquela casa era de propriedade de Carlos Manuel Maia Nogueira, ele era um engenheiro, fundador de uma empresa chamada Solby. Ele vendeu o primeiro computador pessoal em Portugal. Solby comprou este terreno por volta de 1986 de um britânico, eles demoliram a casa e construíram este palácio ilegalmente sem as permissões normais. Dentro da casa há uma piscina aquecida, um cofre e um bunker !! Ele até pediu permissão à Disney Paris para recriar aquele pequeno palácio do lado de fora. Esta casa também foi usada para eventos e festas de negócios. Por volta de 2004, ele teve que sair de casa porque não podia se dar ao luxo de manter esse lugar. Apesar de sua empresa ter vendido cerca de 150 milhões de euros, em 2008 foi à falência e fechou com dívidas. Hoje a casa pertence ao banco e pode ser leiloada em algum momento no futuro.
