It reminds me of that Brit series, 'Larkrise To Candleford', where the people of that time were clambering to retain old knowledge/images as trains and industrialization were changing life and landscape. You are doing a service.

Thanks, yes I look at it as a simple but important gesture, to catch this moment of life and the places around me exactly as they are. Seeing how quickly some of the places I go to have vanished since my grandad was young is unbelievable!

Blodwel is the end of the line, going south over the A483 and Llynclys pool and under the A495 and the quarries, cross the road and keep going to the end.. ie Blodwel..We are reinstalling the trackbed to this destination but are aiming for Weston and the brewery for Dec 19.. Please refer to the CHR for info..CHR member..

HI Dan I just found this video. if you haven't already, do a RU-vid search on go karts on railroad tracks. there are a bunch of ideas . if the laws weren't so strict here in the US, I'd make one in a heart beat. all the best to you sir.

If you are interested in the railway like me google “Cambrian Heritage Railways”, I won’t paste the link as that is up to Dan. The line from Gobowen to Blodwel has been handed over to CHR. Can Dan or someone tell be where Blodwel is as it does not come up on Google Maps.

Yes, Llanyblodwel is not far away from here. If you look on google maps at Llanymynech Golf Club then Llanyblodwel is just to the east! You should be able to zoom in and see the old line by Porth-y-waen!

that's very good, - in u-tube you will find some examples. I would take one with e- or lawn mower engine :-) I once drove this draisine, it was exhausting but funny, 16 people and 4 drives : www.westerstede-touristik.de/erleben-entdecken/draisinenspass/
