Marmons were custom made trucks made in Dallas Texas. They just never got enough market share to survive because of price. They were a great truck to have and drive. Came with just about everything you needed or wanted.

They weren't all that my family's company owned 3 when I was a kid. Not any better than others we ran . Company was in business till my sister and I retired sold out in 2019 . We owned many 60 YRS IN BUSINESS

They were custom built high end trucks back in the day. I had the pleasure of working on them in the 70's at a Diamond Reo dealer who took them on.

When remade, trucks like this one are for sure rare & expensive, as Cabovers are not made anymore in the US. Unlike Germany: I guess more than 90 % over here Cabovers: M.A.N., Mercedes, Volvo, Scania, DAF: all Cabovers!

Honestly I’ve seen one Detroit V6 and it was at the automotive school I went to they had one on display. Definitely would be a rare beast to get running again

The thing with the Detroit's is you got to pop the valve covers and check the fuel rail if it won't move then there are injectors stuck so you gotta find them and unstuck them because if you don't you will have a run away and having a runaway Detroit is no fun because they are loud AF and everyone will hear it go off.

I love seeing all the older trucks. I have a brand new one. Comfortable is a plus but all the new technology is more of a distraction. I’m a old school driver over 30years behind the wheel I would rather drive the truck and not have the truck drive for me.

While you were looking at that white Pete day cab you didn't notice the 2 really rare trucks? A little window Pete with butterfly hood or even more rare, the bull nose KW cabover. Those are extremely hard to find nowadays.

Tim needs to head down there and replenish the engine core supply he lost, get a few over to Lawrence to start working on, and get at least one of each of the three engines he’s running, and have them set up as quick engine swaps in the event of an internal failure..

Watching this guy try to turn over a engine that's been sitting for 25yrs using the starter hurt my head. When I read the title that said "will it start?" ...I had no idea that's what he meant. Needless to say I'm not SHOCKED it didn't just turnover n fire up

My grandma had and same shaped semi truck like that it wasn't start from i was born and I'm 17 yr now. And we just put batteries change the filter and oil then add gas and it start with first try with primer. Trucks can't dissolve unless the engine got stuck and that's hard

If a Detroit stalls and will not start The shaft that turns the blower is stripped out on one end Pull the cover off the back The shaft that runs the transfer pump strips out also easy fix
