As far as I know they still give the originals with the """"definitive"""" edition since they managed to somehow make the """"definitive"""" versions even worse than remastered ones, so not quite abandonware just yet.

Wow, I love this video so much. I've been playing a bunch of abandonware titles for the past week, because the games back in the day were just TOO AWESOME! You guys should be careful with downloading these games, because the uploaders may hide malware inside of them. Just make sure to read the comments on the game page and check the files with your antivirus before running anything. The majority of games on the website is safe though, so you don't need to worry too much.

Must play abadonware stuff are : No one lives forever 1 & 2 Prey 2006 Wolfenstein 2009 All spider-man games (yes most are abadonware) Vietcong 1 (dont play 2 for love of god) Cryostasis (recommend gog version for stability) ČERNAJA METKA pretty much Russian condemned criminal origins. You are empty (pretty good slav jank) Carnavories series. Falcon 4.0 allied forces Manhunt 2

Hi, did someone remember a old Adventure-Action game where the action takes place in the Middle Ages but sometimes it shows the caracter dreaming in a bed in modern days. The action starting in a cave-temple first object to get a torch, third person view. Later in the game you get the ability to swap into a faceless creature similar to Void ( Dota 2 ) but dark color and spikes instead hands, it helps you move objects and fight

@@izaakferth4193 I've played both on windows 10 with not many issues. Theres even some enhancement mods you can find online to make the playthrough for 2 better!

Question, how a game like Sonic Heroes would be considered abandonware? I mean Sonic is still an active IP and not a licensed game, I can understand Spider-Man games or even Simpsons games, Spongebob is another weird example, one of the most beloved licensed game got a remaster, weird.

Abandonware is anything that is no longer supported and sold. Sonic Heroes never got re-released, and its closing on 20 years. Yeah, its going into the vault.

I think someone else made a video on this topic, but to sum it up, Sonic Heroes was originally created on an engine called "RenderWare". This engine + the company who made it no longer exists and SEGA abandoned rereleasing the game because of it.

my abandonware is a potentially malicious website, if you virustotal the download links it says that it is malicious. The reason that im saying potentially malicious is because Quttera is the only antivirus that reported that it was malicious

Depends on the game, some people have reported viruses. Could be just mistakes by each antivirus program since these games are so old. I guess just be careful

By the way so people know abandoned where is not actually legal it still considered illegal to download what is referred to as abandoned wear because you're still downloading something that somebody else created that don't belong to you without permission so just keep that in mind you can still get in trouble for it most people usually don't because no one really cares usually because the games aren't being sold anywhere and it's the only way you can get them but just be careful
