Abarth 595 review - Pocket Rocket Polls EPISODE 5 (2017) Exhaust/Interior/0-60 

Good honest review! Worth mentioning that the 2021 models are slightly better equipped… I agree somewhat with the scores you gave but would score the latest models higher… there will always be small hot hatches that will out perform these 595’s such as the fiesta st but it’s the character of these cars that make them so popular. I’m picking up my new Turismo next month … for 20k (ish) I don’t think there is a better little pocket rocket out there… I think the closest thing to these would be the Mini Cooper S but after you add on just few options the price starts to sky rocket , I specked one out and ended up with a quote of nearly 28k! Based on this I think the 595’s are a bargain - especially when you look at how good the pcp deals are on these at the moment! I couldn’t find a video of you reviewing your Turismo? I would be interested in your thoughts on that model

I had one of these 145bhp in a 66 plate. I really enjoyed it despite its various build issues and lack of equipment (no auto lights/cruise control/Reversing sensors etc to name a few). It's a pretty 'raw' hothatch that's not great for long daily driving but superb and quirky for weekend fun👍. It definitely makes you smile (especially with a Monza exhaust). I'm no Ford fan boy but a Fiesta ST is far better in every way in terms of equipment / handling / build and tuning potential. Don't shoot me down Arbath owners. I've had both and enjoyed👏

Yup, defo yellow!!! Good review but I disagree on interior. It shouldn't have any of the things like a/c, media etc.. Funnily I mark it down for attempting those in the first place. You have reviewed it as a daily driver whereas I look at it as a track car for beginners. You must admit Abarth carry great cache in all its guises, 124 would be my choice. (As if). Nice review! These Abarth's aren't for me, but they do sound great for a little car! If I could pitch you an out there pocket rocket, I'd say give an i3 the same treatment, they're available for about £10k now, hit 60 in less than 7 seconds, have a carbon fibre (reinforced) shell and are RWD, so are a hoot with traction control in dynamic in the wet 😀 just make sure you steer clear of the REX models as they add a fair amount of weight to the rear and add almost a whole second to the 0-60 time.

Should ride better than your 165. All quoted figures in ps, not bhp. Also you need the car in Sport to get it. Could be how they got economy figures. 1.2 Lounge would be more me.

I think that the appeal of idiosyncratic cars like this is always going to be their unique, niche “character” which is very much a “Marmite” thing… The very same quirks that many people LOVE about them, are the exact same features and characteristics that the remainder HATE about them… So, opinions will always be divided and there’s no way to review them in such a way that everyone will agree with how “fairly” they were assessed… 🤷🏻‍♂️ If I might suggest a slight improvement to your reviews, hopefully without giving any offence… Your presentation and editing has improved tremendously since you began (a refreshing mixture of camera views to add interest and hold the viewer’s attention, crisp graphics and transitional slides when presenting performance data and so forth… but you need to spell check the data you flash up on the screen: You wrote “speciforcations” instead of “specifications” and “handeling” instead of “handling.” No offence intended. 🤝 Have watched your reviews since you began (just as I watched my own Daughter’s RU-vid Channel since she started) and I know that it’s a hard, time consuming, energy sapping, emotion draining slog to start with nothing and try to build it up, over time, into a successful enterprise. You’ve come on in leaps and bounds since you started (just as my Daughter did, who’s now at 60,000 subscribers) and I wish you every success as your channel grows and demonstrably improves from month to month.
