We visited Zermatt few years ago, we were on this excited street . It’s so nice to see this video. Frida still look good, she has great gift from God -a beautiful voice.
Some brash statements below based on incorrect assumptions. One. Frida can speak German (Swiss) and has a good understanding of High German too. Two. The reason she is speaking English here is that they promoting Zermatt Unplugged Festival. The vast majority of visitors to the festival, as with the skiing and hiking seasons are international. Like it or not, English is the widely understood international language. Three. She did not move to Switzerland for tax reasons. Any informed ABBA fan knows that she didn't move to Switzerland until 1986....after ABBA disbanded and after she had basically retired from the music business. She moved to Switzerland out of love for her husband Ruzzo. who was born in Lucerne She was sadly widowed in 1999 but is still close to her step daughters and many friends she has in Zermatt.
@@ThomasMuller-jb5lh Yes, I think it was 85% there for top earners. It's to their credit that none of the ABBA members left Sweden to become tax exiles while the group was immensely popular. They of course all had families there, The Swedes, at least back then in the 70's, had a different mindset than Americans for instance. The higher earners didn't mind so much the taxation system as long as they knew the country had a excellent education and healthcare system while the government spent wisely on infrastructure. That is not to say ABBA didn't try to ease the burden. Their manager put the group earnings into all sorts of investments and companies as corporation tax rate was much lower than income tax.

Even love her speaking voice, and who would have thought that in 2022 Frida would send a (visually created) former version of herself on stage in 2022.

@@tur74d56 That whole town knows who Frida. She has lived their for multiple decades. Lots of big names, live there because they are left alone. Switzerland in general is like that.
Daniel Ricardo Exactly - I was just about to make that comment...That’s why Tina Turner lives there too...She talks about the level of respect that is so very different from North America.
Really surprised me when she replied in English. Her whole demeanor and attitude is so modest and unpretentious. A lesson to all these so-called stars and legends who hide away and only ever appear with a huge entourage of bodyguards and hangers-on.

@@depma5018 Yes I know but this interview was in German in Swiss TV so it would be nice if she's speaking German in the German part of Switzerland. Even Tina Turner spokes German. It's a shame for Frida
@@ppanzer7243 She was speakiing to an international audience. In case you hadn't noticed, they don't all live in Switzerland and they don't all speak German. Most speak some English.
@@williamoverly1617 I'm sorry, you are wrong. She was speaking to the national Swiss TV station wich is German language. She was asked in German but she answered in English. Tina Turner for example answered in German in a similar situation.
Yes, and that is a shame. If I'm going to live in another country I'm willing to learn their language. To benefit all the economics even to pay no real taxes in My country and to denie to learn our language in my opinion this is a impudence. Why did she choose to live in My country for many years? Only to save money and nothing more. All these worldwide known plebs lives in Switzerland only to save money. Alot of Formula 1 drivers and alot of musicians like Phil Collins, the sadly died Freddy Mercury and David Bowie, Tina Turner and alot more. Anyway Tina Turner was willing to learn Swiss German.
