USA Track Team men & women for the 100 & 200 is probably the most competitive in the world to make for the Olympics and World Championships. There is no guarantees. Every year there seems to be new sprint talent that shows up. Next 2028 there will definitely be new talented sprinters who will make there presence known. Especially with the Olympics in 2028 being in Los Angeles. Doesn't matter how much hype an Athlete receive or how passionate there fans may be . Its all about Results. After the Olympics in Paris August 2024. Next International event World Championships in Tokyo Japan September 2025. @brokl26
@brokl26 День назад
@@16nowhereman Yeah, she’s young. That’s a valid point, but she’s older than Sha’ Carrri Richardson. Abby Steiner needs to start beating the worlds best when it’s head to head instead of putting up good times when Abby is the only talent in the field. Abby is strong, as running the curves shows. Abby also trains very hard. She may, one day, start beating the world’s best, but right now, she’s only dominant indoors. I do root for Abby. But I’ve never been overwhelmed by her times outdoors. I’m also not impressed by her arm swing. Her arms have too much side to side action which is kind of counter productive. If her arm swing is considered effective, the top tier runners would also use the same technique. But who am I but a complete idiot. Just ask my wife of thirty years.

@GreekboyyD Yes. The field was stacked. You have to understand that Abby is coming off a serious injury. So for her..6th place is good. But if Sha'Carri finished in 6th, that would be unexpeptable. When Abby gets her time, lock down. Meaning her time will be pretty much the same or better. I'm looking for her to be a threat next year. She just might be elected to go to the Olympics to be a standby for the 4x100 and the 4x400 relay team.. If something happens to another runner. Plus, she has gold in both of those events.

She is nbot good enough. Not now, not in the past. She can win in the Diamond League and compete in other Pro events, but tomake the Olympics is a long shot. She will be too old in four years to try again. Do not misunderstand, I think she is a phenom, and everyone gets hurt unless they are really, really lucky. She is going to have to make her mark in the World's next year and compete in other ways. She needs to change her running style. She just proved her flailing arms are a disadvantage, all that energy needs to move her forward. It's a tough sport and a super competitive event. Get ready for World's and the next Pro season. There are plenty of ways to win.

Yes, Richardson had to stay home two years ago when she was 100% healthy. She's juicing now timing her cycle to the most important meet last year the World where she was slow beginning of season until she's juiced right before world's where she instantly got much faster and then gradually got slower afterwards as the season progressed. She started this season very slow running 23+ sec 200 m until she did her cycle for this Olympic trials although she still couldn't make the , 200m team. Usually just one cycle a season or risk getting caught, but have done one for the trials and she will be lower by the time the Olympic games begins so there will be immense pressure for her to cycle again and I think she will. Gabby does also demonstrated by the disparity of her up and down quickness and don't think for a second the Jamaicans aren't juicing! They all taking the Tren like Richardson and Gabby.

That 22.03 in the 200m Semifinal was the fastest Abby has run since she switched from Nike to Puma. Abby has the fitness she needs, but she’s not using the spikes that she ran 21.80 to win the NCAA Championship, and 21.77 to win the USATF Championship in the summer of 2022. Yes, there are RU-vid videos that prove that the Nike sprint spikes with the Airpod under the forefoot are faster. In Abby’s case, about 0.26 seconds faster.

@@Tbrew-zd6xb I don't believe she has peaked, though. Until I see how she's running at top form, I won't make a judgment about her. She's only 24, so as long as she stays healthy, she has a lot of room to get better and better. I think she's going to be motivated too because she actually cried about it. Sometimes losing can actually be the best medicine for anybody to get back on track.

During last year's season the analysts and talking heads were amazed at how many competitions she entered, how many races she ran. Well, unfortunately for her, the body can only take just so much before it starts to breakdown. In Steiner's case, given her age, breakdown comes in the form of nagging (minor) injuries. This young lady needs to be more selective of where and what events she runs.
