Used to look forward to Friday because we would get to eat out (Usually order pizza or get McDonalds) for dinner and watch TGIF (remember mostly Full House Family Matters Step by Step Perfect Strangers and Boy Meets World). Stay up late with no school until Monday. Although I prefer being an adult over being a kid - nostalgia is good once in a while.

I just started watching some tgif shows like perfect strangers full house and family matters and I love them all to death, I never grew up with these shows because I was a 2000's kid but that doesn't mean that I can't like these shows my favourites being perfect strangers and family matters
7-9 here in Iowa! We knew it was time to go to bed when 20/20 came on...of course, when TGIF ended in the late 90's, our bedtime was of course later :)
TGIF was so damn rad!..and watching this video makes me so nostalgic, like a mixture of happiness over past innocence, and sadness that those days are over forever. In other news, I know I'm not alone when I say that TGIF pretty much started jumping the shark once stupid-ass Sabrina the Teenage Witch started playing.....well, it was either that, or I started puberty and TGIF just started slowly losing its appeal anyway!
I couldn't agree with you more. TGIF was amazing. It takes me back to my childhood. We had the best shows. I feel bad for the kids today. Their shows are a pile of horse dung. We had real idols like Urkel, Balki and Uncle Jesse, lol Don't get me started on that Sabrina, the teenage Bitch!! Dumbass show!! Lol

By the time Sabrina came on I wasn't watching TGIF much anymore...It brings back a lot of memories though. My favorite line up was Family Matters/Boy Meets World/Step by Step/Hangin with Mr Cooper. Hell, TV in general was so much better back then IMO.
Hmm good to have this platform because it's so easy to go find something from the past that you are just tired of thinking of and just want to see again I miss 90s tv😢
All were amazing shows, but something about Step By Step, always made me wish I had grown up in a big family like that, was without a doubt my favorite show.
Family Matters was my ALL-TIME favorite television show in the early 90s and i LOVED the TGIF lineup. Every Friday, i'd be so excited in class. Fantisizing about my evening after school and my Saturday morning. OH! it was the absolute best!! i used to curse my fate for being born in the mid 80s, but lately i can't help feeling anything but gratitude. Even though i'm living in a thoghtless, heartless and damned near Godless generation, i cannot help feeling grateful that i have been able to witness the best of pop culture. i was able to glean from the past and actually live through half of the 80s and all throughout the 90s.

I remember me, my sister and my mother always looked forward to TGIF shows. We would to sit down together and watch Boy meets world, Family matters and Step by step every Friday nights. Good times :-)

80's baby, 90's child here. I remember the good ol days of watching every show on the TGIF lineup whether I liked it or not (Most of the time I liked all of the shows). Then when 20/20 came on afterwards I'd pass out on the living room floor or couch if I was too tired to make it to my bed........Good 'ol days. *Sigh*

Looking at the old ABC's TGIF line up, the bulk of them were Miller/Boyett or Bickley/Warren sitcoms with the exceptions of Sister, Sister, Boy Meets World , and Sabrina the Teenage Witch. They all turned to be long running hits.

it was four half hour shows....full house, perfect strangers, family matters, step by step. i don't even remember watching the others, except maybe dinosaurs but i thought that was saturday mornings lol
I remember when it was 7-7:30 Full house, 7:30-8 Family Matters, 8-8:30 Perfect Strangers, 8:30-9 changed a few times but Just the ten of Us/Going Places/step by step...... Then there was mr belvedere somewhere at one time which was good.... I couldn't stand Hangin with mr cooper or boy meets world.... Dinosaurs was cute, don't think it lasted long.
Wow I was born in 97 and I loved my generation as a kid the early 2000s but it seems like 80s and 90s for kids everyday was an adventure not to sound corny, but foreal like Wow anyone who grew up in this era comment down below, if the 90s were great and what are ur favorite memories of TGIF since my ass missed out of course 😂

My favorite memories of TGIF was that it *was* kind of a big deal to sit and watch the TGIF lineup with friends and/or family every week. I remember my cousins and I would watch it every week. They even came out with TGIF tv show trading cards. I had them all but I don’t have them anymore 😢
I really don't care much for perfect strangers. It's alright but not my favorite sitcom or anything like that. But man is that just an amazing theme song. I feel like I can climb a mountain after hearing it. Probably in the top five best theme songs of all time.
Lorea Welland Channel used to be airing Perfect Strangers, Full House, Boy Meets World (already offaired and it's on Stream Welland), Family Matters, Step by Step, Sabrina The Teenage Witch and Sister Sister. (Hangin with Mr Cooper is on Stream Welland) Also, Not Dinosaurs because it gets Lorea Welland Channel worse so they put Family Ties (Stream Welland) and My Two Dads on air.
