I'm not necessarily opposed to "independent" fact-checking at debates, but if candidates can't correct each other on major lies during the debate, then they probably shouldn't be on the debate stage.
Let me preface this by saying I'm not a Republican... but why are Democrats so focused on race, gender, etc for a presidential candidate? Shouldn't we be looking for the best, strongest candidate?

Wrong! I know people in their 90s who are sharp as a tack. I know people in their 30s who are dumb as dirt. It's not age, it's cognitive ability. I've met people in their 90s who still run around, drive themselves everywhere, they move quick and have nothing lacking upstairs. I've met young people that I would say the opposite about. I honestly believe it's how you live your life. If you live a wicked and evil life, it seems like you start to lose your mind later on. When you do the right thing all your life, you keep your mental state up. I've witnessed this many times.
