I just started going on the ab coaster. But I feel like I am swinging to much. Is there a right or wrong way with this equipment?

Good Morning Micah. Thank you for your question. There is absolutely a right way to use the Ab Coaster for maximum results. Here's the trick. Never let your KNEES go past your HIPS on the way back down. This way you will control the motion, reduce the swing and effectively train your ABS! Let us know if we can assist further!

I think this one is better. I have no Ab muscles whatsoever so it’s frustrating when i couldn’t get anywhere with the one on the track. But this one maybe in the beginning it’s okay for me to let a tad of swing help me along until i get stronger abs and then I can stop the swing? Possibly?

Is this better than the one on rails, i feel like the rails would have more control and more of a stretch on ur abs on the way down.

Thanks for your comment. It is more a case of different than better. Each has its advantages. The CTL is a little lighter so often times beginners find it to be a better fit. However both have the ability to add weights so you can progress as you get stronger! Give them a go.

How do I keep from pulling with my arms? It's impossible to lift my legs without pulling at the same time and it turns into a bicep exercise. Any ideas?

Hi Relztrah. Thank you for your question. We have 2 tips for you. 1. Open your hands so that you just have a very loose grip if any at all on the handlebars. Picture driving your elbows down into the pads and this will reduce the strain on your grip. 2. When doing the exercise always keep your knees in front of your hips. By never letting them go beyond your hips you keep the tension on your abs the entire time. We hope that helps. Reach out anytime for assistance.

Thanks. Yes, that helps. One more question: Should I try to keep my back straight or hunch over? I'm not sure which is the best form.

Hi Again Relztrah. Always try to keep the natural curve of your back. That means don't slouch but also don't try to sit up perfectly straight. Stay with your body's natural posture during the exercise.

@@billieball1 thank you for your question. You want to keep your knees in FRONT of your hips on the way down. This should be your stopping point. If you let them go beyond your hips you allow the abs to relax and increase the chance of using momentum during the exercise.

Thanks for your question. Glad to hear you are training at 12 years old. At your age we'd recommend basic crunches, oblique crunches and planks! Keep up the great work.

Is there a way to adjust height on these? My femurs are very short for my height, and my knees come off of the pad when I get to the contracted position at the top of the motion, I just have the tops of my feet holding the pad up. How would I avoid this?

Thank you for your question. There is not a way to adjust the height on the CTL. The typical reason your knees come off the pad is that you are leaning back at the top of the motion. You want to start upright, then sit back about 2 inches towards your heels. At the top of the motion contract your abs as this will bring your weight forward and keep you fully in contact with the pad. Please let us know if you have additional questions!

Thanks for your comment. You're SUPER SMART for using the Ab Coaster - The #1 Ab Product in the world. Hers a tip - don't worry about going all the way up. Stabilize your upper body so it doesn't move. Then bring your knees 1/4 or half way up. Go back down and keep your knees in front of your hips. As you get stronger - increase your range! Give it a shot!

Thank you for your comment. The feet are mainly for support but they do assist in giving you leverage as you pull your knees upwards.

I just used this and I felt like a monkey swinging . And I am 4’9. Does height affect the usage of abcoaster?

@@KingNQueenCity We understand. Here's the key - always keep your knees in front of your hips. On the way down control the movement to stop there. It will eliminate the swing. Also don't forget to twist the seat to hit those obliques! We'd love for you to give it another shot!
