Note: always replace the discharge valves when doing a rebuild. They get very hot and can warp over time. Warped valves will not seal completely thusly the compressor will produce less air volume & pressure. Normally the intake valves will be ok.

I just watched this video on my laptop and I was wondering if that unit was equipped with the water jackets it look like they were cavities in there and a lot of pipe plugs for maybe a water jacket keep the system cool? I know how it is to not have any manuals it's like cleaning up behind an engineer

Isn’t there a break in process as well?

If it is possible why don't you oil it down and seal it in a vacuums sealed bag. Keeps it without moisture and keeps it well lubed.
