Hey man, i've got a question about my rear motor. When i ride my wolf warrior 11 my rear motor lets out strange noises whenever i move it, turned on or off, it still does it. It goes normally and isn't slower or anything, but this is my problem.
I don't think Sherpa is a good value. I bought a Colt 17,000 lbs winch. The cheap Chinese cable started fraying immediately just winding it in and out. The motor seized due to corrosion in less than a year because it had no gasket material. Salt water from winter road had infiltrated, and it didn't last the winter. They replaced the motor. The winch tie rod bolts broke the casting. It works, but the colt model is not up to a premium product's standard. You could get the same winch for half the price. I won't be buying another one in the future.
Are you getting full play on the front brake lever ? I just had the dealer install the white grips. The brake lever cannot be installed in line because of this.
The 2024 790 adventure models have 0 issues with the kit I just installed in this video. Previous years may have issues and some stealerships are incompetent. Why not install them yourself???
Great video. I'm not sure why Barkbusters doesn't anodize the metal black. Even just the mounts could be black. Almost every bike has black handlebars now days.
Because the anodizing would easily come off with every leaf or stick that touches it. Also in direct sunlight the anodizing would disappear in about 3-4 months.
The 3116s don't work that way. The cooler for the transmission is in the coolant/radiator loop on these trucks. The capillary water temp gauge monitors the coolant temperature close to the block. This sensor fixed the issue 110%.
@@SeanFillner I have the 3126. I've already replaced the fan clutch solenoid which fixed the constant fan running issue. I also replaced the temp sensor. Once topped out on the interstate for about 40min or so the fan clicks on but seems to stay on. I'm worried my transmission doesn't like those higher speeds. I see guys getting transmission temp readings from the BlueFire gauge setup. That leads me to believe the 3126 must have a 2nd sensor for the transmission. So possibly the fan may come on even though the block temperature seems like it should be cool. I've ordered one of these BlueFire dongles so I'll know soon enough what data is available.
It's easy to remove the side fairing to have access to the acc plug, and will save you a lot of work. The windscreen it's also fitted from the bottom, you put it wrong. 😉
Yeah. Should have removed right side fairing for access. After that just route the cables behind the TFT by removing it to access gap. Pull them up by taping a ziptie to acc connector or with some hook. Nice looking mount by the way. Enjoy these videos regardless! Peace!
Crazy question but do you want to sell your stock intake components? I just bought XT that has an Injen intake on it but I would prefer a stock one. If anyone wants to trade me, hit me up. Thanks.
@@SeanFillner I’m new to the military truck scene and used to cars that’re color-coded. I’m learnin’! I’ll just read the wires out then. Thanks for the reply. Love your channel!
Sean - just came back to your channel - loved your STI conversion on the baja - used some of your ideas on my 06. Regarding your Forester tires - the Altimax, do you run them year round or just winter? I'm still driving and loving my 08 Outback XT Limited! David
This is my 13th set or so of the general altimax arctic tires throughout the years on various vehicles. Yes we run them year round. They do great in all conditions. Thanks for stopping by to check out the channel.
The direction it faces will not allow for that because of the coolant flow. If it does get an air pocket the fan will come on a lot sooner than 205. I wish I could find an adapter that is straight on and long enough to fit the sensor though.
That is an option. There is also a horton switch that has 3/8npt threads but it costs twice what the index one costs. You know what they say, mod cheap, mod twice. That might be the case here and I hate welding aluminum btw.
There is no pac brake warmup mode on the pac brake kits for the 3116 cat motor. I should have taken my trailer with. That would have gained enough heat up that hill to make the fan run. Not getting hot is a good sign though right?? No stupid subaru head gasket issue.
@@SeanFillner Yes I think that's a great sign. The Subaru's generally consume some amount of coolant as well - through the exhaust or over-pressure the radiator cap and dump it out the overflow. Good times.
I'm surprised you didn't use car audio dynamat with the adhesive on it that butyl never comes off you can get them pretty thick now and it comes with the foil for the heat reflection
I was worried I was only one that does crazy projects like that with projects and projects everywhere until somebody understands finally what I'm doing and it makes sense to them and then they're like oh great that's a great idea
Oh man! I just got to the end. I guess you found the pressure limit. Yeah these winch units that use the steering hydraulics, I recall I read they only need 300psi to operate. What was the max pressure on the AC system? If you look into how those winches are arranged it might give you an idea as to what went wrong. I installed one on my Tacoma. Same winch the Hummer uses. It worked great but I never got stuck bad enough to need it.
