Yep, with full filters and empty lines(and the flapper bypass/check working correctly), it only takes about 40 pumps or so to fill the line until you should start to feel it build pressure thru the primer bulb against the pressure reg. Once you get fuel at the air bleed, you need to pump a few more times to push all the air out of the central gallery in the head and past the regulator, then it should start cleanly. I was a little dubious of the bulb primer when I first got the truck, but it actually works pretty well. I like the outer braid on those Parker 201 hoses. The engine ends on mine still look great, but the tank ends not so much, so it’s on my list also...
After checking the fuel pressure and fuel delivery on my 3116, I decided the next project will be a electric lift pump at the tank. After watching this video I'll probably change the supply line to the governor too. Fun fact- the supply line from the tank was the cause of my truck being an auction non-runner .
Always a good time watching your videos ! Yeah those fuel lines looked like an accident waiting to happen ! I was wondering when you were routing the lines how you were keeping track of which was which...ha ha ha nice tracks!!! I'll be patiently waiting for your next video!
@@SeanFillner oh nice sounds great. I am still of the fence about spending a day and removing all the lines and taking them to my local hydraulic shop and getting new ones made or buying this kit
