My aged mother is just about to lose her heating allowance, her gas boiler will need replacing soon, with a heat pump? And her little old petrol car will need replacing with an extremely expensive electric car. Maybe the government are gonna pay for all this? Or should she claim asylum and get it all for free 🤔

As long as there are massive subsidies to companies to keep windmills on 'standby' and massive subsidies to produce when required there will be no lower bills. Until the day the 'renewables industry' can stand on its own two feet without tax payer subsidy there will be no equity or efficiency in the UK energy market.

Labour needs to learn more efficient does not always mean cheaper... Case and point, Electric heaters are extremely efficient compared to gas. However, since electricity per unit cost is multiple times higher than gas. It means that per an hour it costs more than it would to use the less efficient gas for the equivalent heat. Ultimately, the public wants cheaper solutions, the masses will not want to go broke paying more on energy just to pat them selves on the back. Especially when everywhere else around the world are pumping out coal emissions at astronomical rate. That make anything the uk does irrelevant

None of this has anything to do with improving energy efficiency. This is just part of a wider programme of bringing about the socioeconomic collapse of this country by undermining our energy security. A related plan is to further weaken food security making us even more dependent on imported food by turning over agricultural land to solar farms and even worse, 850ft high wind turbines with massive foundations that would mean soil destruction and make return to agriculture impossible. Needless to say there is also no "climate emergency" to justify any of this and even if there was an anthropogenic cause as claimed Britain's contribution to this would be so negligible as to make energy saving efforts irrelevant. Ed Milliband knows all this perfectly well. He is a major league criminal attacking everyone in this country on behalf of his globalist masters. The EPC system is not fit for purpose. Are you aware that a very warm, well insulated flat, that has an electric boiler rather than gas is rated at band E so not rentable! Does he really want electricity replaced by gas?

This morning demand was 30 Giga Watts and we generated 26 Giga Watts. We bought 4 Giga Watts from France. As usual. Most of it was generated by gas because the wind wasn't blowing and the sun not shining. Going green and turning off gas means buying more from France if they have spare to sell. Either that or black outs. The grid is very sensitive to demand and low power, it just shuts off if demand exceeds supply and the voltage drops. Going green will lead to hours or even days with no electricity.

What is this obsession with the year 2030. Cars, climate change, etc.

Does the Government think that being a landlord is some sort of charity? Any costs to meet the new emission codes will be passed on to the tenants and seeing as how local authorities are one of the biggest users of private landlords for Council housing it is the tax payer who will end up paying.

You will need more than 10k with the majority of housing stock, cavity walls are non existent with more than 70%. Of stock, the human race does not have the technology or the money to achieve this for the foreseeable future , have they not been told?

GB energy= Cheaper energy. The words 'cheap' and 'energy' cannot be put into the same sentence. Even if the energy was made 'cheaply' it won't be sold 'cheaply', energy will always, always be costly and never cheap.

To think coal used to be dug in Yorkshire to produce electricity at Drax and steel in Scunthorpe. Now they cut trees down in North America to produce electricity at drax. They dig coal in Australia and Indonesia to ship to China and India to make steel to send to the uk. I’m confused
