Absolute Navetta 52 review - Motor Boat & Yachting 

I love how the boat creaks and pops when you are up on plane but when I drop my sausage I would prefer it just roll around on the teak so I have a chance of picking it up. This is actually a very desirable boat with a huge amount of space for it's size. People are always attracted to the largest boat they can find but in reality you have to berth it somewhere and when you visit distant ports you need to be able to find a slip that will accommodate you.

The Navetta 52 is an impressive boat. It is literally a small ship but in that 50'-ish sweet spot size. Some things to look out for in current production are the closing hardware on the cabinets and you should do a sea trial before ordering or buying. Some people don't like the profile - that's personal choice. The mini-hard top is a disaster, however. The new 48 has addressed this and expect the 52 to receive an update soon. Same with interior treatments - the new 48 is more modern. Best features: Immense flybridge with center captain chair, foredeck lounge and seating, real stairs to the flybridge, guest cabin. Areas for improvement - hard top may be practical but it's bugly. The salon is narrower due to the side decks. This can be resolved with lighter tones as in the new 48. The galley layout could be improved. Princess and Prestige do better here. The format should be space to left of stove, stove, space between stove and sink, space to right of sink. Galleys in large RVs have the same problem with space as do boats. The formula above is used by Princess, Prestige and others very successfully. Lastly, the flow from Salon to Galley to Aft Deck is not as smooth as on the Prestige 520 or princess 55. If Navetta updates the 52 following design cues from the new 48 this could resolve itself. For the money - this IS a small ship - and should be on anyone's short list!

One of the greatest points of this boat is the view from the windows, and this video is filmed with the blinds down. Not to smart.

Still remains one of my favorite lengths of these.

I love the crew cabin! It would be my little doghouse! This boat maximizes every square foot. Engine room is small. I suppose that is to accommodate the crew quarters which is worth it.

Any comments on the chine slap noise in the for'ed cabin and in the centre master cabin when at anchor in a small chop?

Quality is very nice but the layout could be more functional.

They all make the same mistake of making boats like houses. After living aboard for 22 years, the second big cabin gets used 5 days per year but there is never enough closet space so the showers all have to be converted to closets. Guests don’t need an elaborate fancy cabin. Just supply a few berths tucked away or let them sleep in the main lounge after dropping the table.There is almost no point in buying a boat bigger than 40 feet because all they do is to keep slapping in more heads and bedrooms, 3 of each than never get used. Just give me more living space. Increase the master by 50%, make 20 times the closet space, put in locker for coats,umbrellas and shoes near the door; no one does this. Maybe spot for bikes. Forget about two steering stations; lots of cost but eventually one never gets used. No mfr gets it.

Chunky bits ?... The word you are looking for is sturdy...

If you have to push a button it's not automatic.
