Yup, a valve lowers the port at lower rpm’s, open larger at higher rpm’s

Flat plane doesn't make any sense on a two stroke 4 as basically turns it into a twin

Considering this is a 2 stroke, it probably uses a crossplane config for smoothest power delivery, so 1,3,2,4

well you dont need any valves in a 2 stroke, except a reed valve or rotary valve, thats the beauty of it, less moving parts, simpler construction, so its kind of a dead collab of fields

@@thommyskold4198 yeah, but the flaw is lubrication and effectively killing it for good. Technologies such as FreeValve may be able to revive a hybrid 2 stroke in the current era.

@@AmbaSnakeman well yes and no, im not a fully educated engineer and please shed more light if you can, but as of my understanding, lubrication of a 2t would not be any problem with the manufacturing methods available now with exemple 3d metal printing and post processing with cnc machining. The problem lies in making the combustion efficient in the 2t cycle, and the elements needed to make it efficient, such as expansion Chambers, lubrication, high octane for good combustion and ignition timing, low friction etc etc for efficiency, you need all these parameters to be right, to be able to make anything out of it. the 4t engines end up on top so easy with the sacrifice you give with reciporating mass and more moving parts, but much more efficient combustion as payoff. Also the narrower band of functionality of the 2 st makes it a less viable choice. When it works its beutiful, its kind of threading the needle to make it work

@@thommyskold4198 i want to believe there could be sustainable 2T? Unfortunately didnt exist then. So when 2T has to combust due to the zero valve design , it pollutes the environment though i kind like the smell. Also, the exhaust design is not efficient. If you recall 500cc at its peak vs 990c at its infancy was smashed. This is where i believe a new hybrid 2 stroke, fuel injected can make a difference.

With the hint of a diesel configuration I believe, the major problem of a 2 stroke to make it "efficient" are mainly because they might need exhaust valve. But I'm not genius enough and have so much time also money to do it. I wish there's gonna be a time in a future when top dog motorsports like F1 will save 2 stroke engine.

No they are looked in the US. i dont think you have seen this before. there is only 2 of them right now and both located in the US. we have a couple more we are working on!

If someone wanted to put the time and effort into a project like that. we would do an engine package for it for sure. You can probably get away with a triple cylinder version if your looking for around 300 HP. we have had our motors in drag carts, race atv's, modified carts of all sorts. our biggest business is the snowmobile drag racing. as i mentioned if someone wanted an engine package we would build it for their needs!

That's a dyno exhaust. Different requirements. You experiment, hit your targets, then make a pretty one for the vehicle. Welcome to real world engine development.

@@Errol.C-nz I can imagine that must be the case, being a specialist as you are. A bit like a cabinet maker who only seems to be able to chisel flat and square, whereas I have a talent for the opposite 😂.
