the "HP per life taken" ability is a slightly dark reminder of the fact that you destroying a planet counts as killing all of its residents, as it gives you a full heal

Fun Fact, it's been ages since I played this (I think it was actually you who got me to buy it) but the FPS Saver (halves attack speed, projectiles hit twice) was made literally to counter late game builds becoming so spammy that the game slowed into a slideshow. It's a way to save on projectile calculations, animations, etc, while mantaining equal DPS. Mechanics wise it doesn't give you any advantage... it just helps your computer cope with the late game better lmao

Thanks for playing again! :D I'd love to have a better upgrade tree at some point, with a bunch of paths to go down, and combo cards are a great suggestion thanks :) Endless mode's balance is pretty whack, still something I'm trying to get right

Dev bias: risk of rain reference. More damage to full health enemies. Useless: more damage per green badge

The green badges are the ones you get once a stage if it's not entirely clear.

Literally heals 10 health every time enemy is killed and/or damaged. Then later on takes an upgrade that shoots homing missiles whenever healed for the same amount healed *in total*. Then Wander questions why suddenly doing bonkers damage? I'm not questioning why. Eh. This game looks hella sick tho!

@@me1allicaIt's one of those games that, with Endless, is more about how long 'til your PC can't keep up than when you'll die. Vampire Survivors does the same if not worse to my PC lol (RIP so many runs)

I loooooove this game. Bought and played it when it just came out. I haven't touched it in months due to lack of time unfortunately. I'm super glad someone who plays roguelikes is playing this game! This game deserves more love imho.

so regarding rice upgrades, they double every time you get them. yea initial +1 seems weak, but it is the best scaling ingame. and for 29:28 you have several shotguns, you have bouncing perks. now as a creative person, what do you think... could possibly happen.. if you take the.. +4x penetration perk the black hole needs enemies to sustain itself, if it kills enemies to fast it hawkings out of existence.

Pretty sure planets took status effects but the void didn't based on the colors. Maybe the reason you were finally getting through after amping up crit chance/crit damage is that it acts more or less as a gear check of sorts.

Ive mainly seen Dev Bias be the crowbar it uses as an icon; bonus damage vs full HP targets

Something interesting is that it seems the… elements? (flame/frost )and (verdant/depraved) scale based off of how many you have of the same element, and the scaling went down as you got more of the opposing element. So because you picked so many ice skills early your fire damage bonus was actually 0 for a lot of the run I think?

there are specific ones that gives different effects when attached, but most of them work either way, although you do have the ability to attach any

is it just me or do you only bother to consider a couple of the cards each time? its like you are blind to damage in favor of things like projectile speed and size.... like why? how is that helping when the only thing slowing you down is the planets?

Does anyone know why it's so insanely hard for Wander to kill the planets? He does so much damage against regular enemies! Is it maybe because most of his damage is converted to poison instead and the planets are immune to poison or something?

Mostly poor balancing on my part (as the developer), planets take 10% damage on stage 2, and only 1% damage on stage 3, I was meaning to change it but it slipped my mind

@@Alpha-yl5dd the way wander kept skipping decent damage scaling in favor of things like projectile speed, while talking about how he couldn't understand why destroying planets seemed so hard, drove me nuts... and all that crit chance but never any crit damage...

Unfortunately it BREAKS quite easy if you refuse ot finish tthe game it stops being responsive once there is enough effects in play.
