GM Silverado 5.7; No R12 in system; Replaced all O Rings, Replaced Accumulator; Let condenser drain mineral (R12) oil over night; evacuated system for 90 minutes to 29 in HG; added 32 0z R134A and 6 oz Di-Cap PAG150. AC works fine except the New compressor rattles internally.
Outside temperature 60 degrees F, 25% RH. Vent air at 35 degrees F. Compressor switch on at 22 PSI off at 44 psi on low side.

The famous R4. Read somewhere that in dual evaporator systems a bad TXV bulb positioning on an evaporator with its fan turned off can ruin them pretty bad (since the liquid refrigerant soon washes oil away inside the comp) and turn a whispering compressor into a serious rattler.

@rob73069 Brand New Compressor PAG oil and R134A in the correct amounts! I posted this for the compressor vendor so he could hear the noise. Replacing the compressor fixed the problem. Cost of the R134A went up 25% in the weeks between recharging. Thanks

Nope, both media and PAD oil are at proper amounts as this is a new installation. The replacement compressor was bad. I did the video for the vendor that supplied the compressor. He replaced it.

is it normal for the compressor to cycle on and off my 1996 tahoe is blowing cold air dont understand

ac compessor low on oil you have a freon and also oil leak somewhere
