I'm a Scottish guy. I know ACDC are an Aussie band, but secretly, in Scotland, they're ours. Rock on boys, I'm 52 now & I have never stopped rockin to your fantastic sound.
In 2001 my Dad bought a brand new dodge 3/4 ton truck and got it fully loaded, first CD player in a truck that he has had. He stopped by Walmart to get some Cd's and couldn't anything he liked. I drove to the record store in Dallas TX and bought him every AC DC record for his birthday present, plus they had rockabillia as well. Still remember the look on his face at his birthday dinner the day after he bought that truck when he opened up my gift and saw all of their albums. I got out of High school at 1030 and me along with some of my classmates were hanging out drinking and smoking, Dad pull up and he has them as loud as the radio could go. Sadly I lost him in 2008
P K I need speakers. So i can put on Def Leppard with ACDC lyrics and Guns N Roses Style for the beat. Yes.... I feel powerful..... I need that in my life
I have a big soft spot in my heart for the Young brothers. Always. I have lots of their vinyl. Completely LOVED them. Bon Scott, and then Brian Johnson .....I loved them all. Still love them now.
Morning Sky you miss the point entirely. Playing 3 chords is fucking easy, but nobody plays them like Malcolm. But the most important point is that he and Angus WROTE the songs you dimwit. Fucking RU-vid amateur guitarists and their mentality of thinking they’re as good or better than an artist because they can make shitty covers of actual artists’ songs lmao. Music is not a fucking pissing contest of who can wank the fastest, it’s about soul, emotion and how effectively they’re conveyed through this medium. Everything else is supplementary, no more and no less than necessary.
Fucking Bon. One of the greatest singers and performers of all time, and gone way too soon. Like Phil Rudd said how shocked they were about Bon's death: "the guy had already died a couple of times before, so we just all expected him to turn up." I think that he was referring to the motorcycle accident and the heroin overdose. Bon really seemed like a great guy with no pretense, loved his fans (especially the female ones!) and a good friend.
I saw these guys live, in Sydney, when I was about 14 years old with Bon fronting. That gig changed my life. They were the support band and they blew the head-line act off the stage. Best gig I have ever seen.
Bon was a huge loss and a devastating set back , no doubt... Finding Brian Johnson was a blessing. This band from the very beginning has been a huge inspiration to me and will miss Malcolm for a good long while... AC/DC is awesome and always has been!!!
I've been to 7 or 8 of AC-DC's concerts and old enough to have had the privilege of watching Bon and Brian and have to say a better concert was few and far between with the exception of S.R.V. and then Van Halen at their kick off tour. Those were great times.....
I saw AcDc at Chequers Night club located in Goulburn st , Sydney in 1973 . With Mal Evens as lead singer. There were 30 people in the audience. I was 18 .
I just want to say thank you Malcolm not only for bringing this band together and rocking the world along side your brother but for the inspiration you give me I believe that one day I can be as good as you are you, Angus, Brian, cliff, bon, Phil, Chris, George, I wasn't really a big fan of axl but him too all of you guys really inspire me you made me believe that anything is possible no matter who you are no matter what you've been through and no matter how you do it you can accomplish anything that you always dreamed of doing. It can get a little Rocky along the way but but it's just like the song goes “it's a long way to the top if you wanna rock and roll" I guess what I'm trying to say is you've done things that most people don't get the chance to do you've been places that some people can't you aren't just a ordinary person you are a legend in everyone's mind and I can only hope to be like you one day and I promise that I won't give up on that ever you never gave up and neither will I you and the rest of the band/family will never be forgotten I hope people will say the same about you. Do any of you agree with me?
Corey Norman RIP Jesus Christ, Elvis Presley, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, JFK, MLK, RFK, John Lennon, David Bowie, Prince, Jimi, Michael Jackson, Janis🔔🕕🕕, Jim, Joe Strummer, The Ramones, Alex Chilton, Brian Jones, Chris Bell, Kurt Cobain, Chris Cornell, Bon Scott, Duane Allman, Ronnie Van Zandt, Clarence Clemmons, Scottie Moore
The thing I like about the members of AC/DC is they never tried to be something they were not. They never went crazy with fancy guitars and pedal effects at all really, and most of all they never developed over inflated egos because of money. They just love to play good ole' fashion bluesy rock and nothing more like some bands you see and hear and don't last. Sure they had their differences but not like Van Halen did. They just kept their nose to the grind stone and played through that shit like a real band. Rock on AC/DC so much energy in their chords.
Bon Scott is the most tragic death music has ever seen. ACDC with Bon is the BEST raw rock n roll you'll ever get. Johnson is alright, but I feel like when Bon Scott died, they became ACDC lite.
lucky enough to see cliff, phil, bon, angus, and malcolm. the one guy describes them well, for me it was (looking back on it) a spiritual experience. just this wall of energy and sound coming at you, every song an anthem. what's funny is a lot of people at the time were calling them a punk band. ac/dc didn't follow trends, they never tried to, they carved their own niche.
I saw Bon Scott Carry Angus on his shoulders twice both times at Oakland Coliseum at a Monsters of Rock. He put Angus on his shoulders behind the stage and he went all the way up to the first row in center field. 1977-78 it was fantastic
and i touched him when he was on the shoulder he was sweaty.seen Bon 5 times and seen AC/DC 1 Time with Brian Johnson.1st time i seen them was with VH,BOC,AEROSMITH AND TED NUGENT.
AC/DC are the soundtrack of my life. By far my favorite band for about 35 years. 3 or 4 chords put together to create the greatest hard rock songs ever...
To this day, I can't be still when AC/DC's on. Forever a true-blue Bon gal, I never got to see him live, but caught Back in Black tour in Pittsburgh, PA. Never met band either, but had a few pre-show beers on bus with crew (friends of a friend were lighting/sound techs & hooked us up). Rock in Peace & Blessed Be, Mr. Scott & Mr. Young.
All props and respect to A/C D/C... But now is the time to relax and enjoy your fruits of rocking the world. Just saying... It's time to go out with your band still remembered for being one of the best.
2:46 you'd have had no idea thanks to constantly seeing photos of him in his goofy schoolboy outfit, making contorted facial expressions with his hair covering half of his face, but Angus was quite the handsome devil back in the 70's.
They may be the best that's ever been. They are damn close and if Bon had lived? Not much doubt in my mind and to my tastes that nobody nobody wrote lyrics like Bon put to paper and delivered them on stage. I doubt anyone enjoyed being a rock god as much as Bon. I'm happy he realised his dream. If only for a time.
If he would've survived past Back In Black, he would've known his superstardom. I hated all the preps at school who all of a sudden became ACDC fans after Back In Black. Most of the morons I went to school with didn't even know it was Bon Scott they were singing along with to TNT. They didn't even know it existed until after he died. I was furious with the morons that jumped on the band wagon. I dated a guy in the 90s who had no clue who Bon was, but told me ACDC was his favorite band. Oh my gosh!
Saw AC/DC back in around 1975 when they toured the UK Remember think it was up in St Albans only about 100 people there. At that stage it was plain obvious this band was going places and they were - are totally amazing
Stop fighting where AC/DC is from, they belong to everyone around the world who luvs their music!!!Petty fights mean very little. Dont screw up the vibe with negativity.Apply only positive energy to the world and youll receive it in return. Rock on AC/DC!!!!
Malcolm, thank you so much for making AC/DC! You have made something bigger then life itself, please rock in peace up in rock ‘n’ roll heaven with your brother George and old bandmate Bon Scott. Angus? Please know that they are always watching over you and they will help you and protect you, Stevie? You are fulfilling some pretty big shoes, you have got balls dude. I give you my highest respect. Malcolm will always be there guarding you and guiding you. Please stick with the band. And I really hope that Brian returns. I have always wanted to see AC/DC with Malcolm young, Brian Johnson and Phil Rudd but sadly Malcolm is gone. I got to see acdc with Axl Rose but I personally don’t like Axl, and to me? That was Angus & Stevie Young and Cliff Williams and a tribute act , no disrespect to Chris Slade, as he is a thunderous awesome drummer!
Looks like we are gonna see brian and phill with angus again! Or at least we gonna hear them in the new album :D brian returns, so they got rid of axl, which means phill is back too!
I was never really in to the band . but now i reflect on my childhood and AC/DC played a big part of my life back in black was huge hells bell's was great . i was into Ozzy and RANDY Rhoads but had a place ac/dc they were hard rock .but we wete into slayer EXODUS and shit like that . GOD BLESS
Older brother George was like of a different generation, being like a contemporary of the Beatles Very interesting family--Malcolm looks like James Taylor
It still hurts today knowing the way he passed it must have been so hard on all the people who loved him and you can see it here it is something you will never get over you just have to live with it and be Thankful for the time you had with your friend.
