I have now owned this sander for a little over 10 months and have no regrets purchasing this. For the price it is fantastic. In this video I look at the features of this sander and what I like and dislike. I hope this is useful for some of you. If you have any further questions about the sander drop them below.

On all of my machines I keep all the tools needed to adjust them stuck to the back of the machine on magnets, it saves so much time and effort. But I totally agree with you young man it should be one type of fixing on the machine. Additionally I’ve got one machine that also needs a pozi driver and a hex key so I glued a hex key to the handle of a cheap pozi driver then glued a magnet to them to attach to the back of the machine, so you can just flip the tool over to use either pozi or hex.

That’s a good idea! I’ve never thought of doing that. Yeah, it is annoying at times 😂. Sounds like you have some good ideas for tools! I’m definitely going to use that magnet trick! Thanks!

You could have a go at making custom knobs for the hex bolts and screws holding the side panel and clear plastic cover on the top. Cut wooden knobs on the bandsaw and epoxy the screw heads/hex bolts into them. Saves you having to use the screwdriver and hex keys 👍 good job on the video

Not a bad idea! I may look into that as a viable solution! Thanks!

A lot of times a little “tweaking” can turn these low end machines into good performers! One thing that you should look at that should be a simple fix is on the belt table. When you squared the table to the belt, the tongue that backs up the belt was leaning away from the belt quite a bit. When you push wood against the belt to sand it, that’s going to cause the wood to have less than a 90 degree angle on it! See if there’s a way to adjust that tongue, maybe you can just carefully bend it forward a bit, because that will give you a more accurate result! Thanks for posting!

Thank you! Yes; I noticed the piece of metal wasn’t at 90, I’m pretty sure you cannot change that although I may be wrong, I will have to take a look, I tend to use the belt for curves and the disc for 90’s so it doesn’t matter to much to me. I’m sure there is a way so I will have a go. Thanks for watching!

Change the screws to all one type if you don’t like them.. Setting the belt to 90 degrees is pointless if the backplate isn’t set first. there’s quite a gap at the top.. No mention of the motor wattage or speed? Useful bit of kit for small jobs

I might do that to be honest! I get what your saying and have realised that since making this video! The motor wattage and speed can be found on the website.

That's why everyone who ones one of these (all the different manufacturer versions) keep the side permanently off. Also your platen isn't setup correctly, it needs to be flush with with the belt.

Yeh keeping the side off would be a lot easier! And yeh I am now aware of that and have fixed it. thank you though!
