Nice to see you're getting those trucks done. I took a pause from my B-17 vintage. I decided to finish Sikorsky H-34G From Revell (1996 kit) which I converted to Vietnam War UH-34D Choctaw, with some scratchbuilt details and custom decals, hope it turns out well. P.S. I've found one EU based Hobby shop with cheap models, I ordered some and I'm pretty much satisfied with them (as I have stash of dozens of Airfix, Revell, Hasegawa etc kits already -cca 100). These are cheap tho (3€ on, postage is cheap too) and quality is pretty decent, some need some TLC tho to be good, others are great castings, If you agree I post it here if anyone's interested. Cheers and Happy modelling all
Hi buddy. Here in the UK its best to hit the model shows. Those guys want to off load their stuff because they don,t want to keep cartong it around. I do small scale vehicles. At one show years ago I was picking up Dragon kits for six pound a pop. Their normally twenty pounds. So my stash got a bumper boost. Some kits are down to four pounds. So hit the second hand stalls at the shows for your bargains my friend. Good luck to you.
Hi. There's nothing wrong with block building, its the easiest way to do it if your working on the same vehicle. I,ve got three GMC triple deuces on the go at the moment. Then its time for individual detailing work. Persevere my friend , you will get there in the end.
absolutely! I've really enjoyed building these kits, its something a little different subject wise and the are all nice kits, at the moment though I really need to get other builds finished first, the B 17 and I'm also working on a couple of tribute builds that will be complete videos rather than a series, then I can turn my attention back to these kits.
