Truly well done, NOLOAF! I certainly appreciate the extensive acknowledgement. A couple of quick supplementary comments for your viewers: First, note that Highway 35: World Race was created for young children, 3 to 7 years-old, by request of Mattel. It stands to reason that many prefer Acceleracers simply because its storylines and themes (aimed at 6 to 12 year-olds) are more more mature. That was a marketing decision that arrived after the fact. Had we the opportunity to recreate World Race for that audience, it would have lined up far more in tone with Acceleracers. (But I do like our designs better! Ha!) Second, your viewers are right in that Mainframe/Rainmaker was always the animation company for the franchise. We were an unusual "extra" in Mattel's process and after the executives who hired us had moved on, we were dropped. That sort of thing happens in Hollywood all the time, so while I was hurt at the time, I don't hold any resentment or grudge. The storyline created by myself and Fabian Nicieza (yes, the co-creator of Deadpool!) would have been awesome, but I've grown to love Acceleracers (yes, I consider SCRIM and CLYP "fronts" post-retcon), especially after all of you opened my eyes to its coolness. Thanks to every one of you!
You Sir grew an entire generation, I remember watching HwWR when I was around 5-6 and now I am 20-21 Years old still here loyal to this community.Thank you.
Midtown Madness 2, NFS: Hot Pursuit 2, and Hotwheels: Highway 35 World Race was the start of my Enthusiasm with cars. Vasilis is right you did grow an entire generation of fans. Although trying to build on an already expanded universe was hard for Mattel and disappointed many of us, it still gives us a basis of solid animation that still holds up. Oh and all those cheeky one-liners are gold for children!
I'm pretty sure its implied the racing drones were under the earth, instead of inside a realm- you can see them waking up when they hear sounds of the city. Presumably they were programmed to wake back up once humanity had developed vehicles and other advanced technology
In Breaking point Gelorum tells Kadeem that that the drones were stuck deep in the earth for thousands of years waiting for humans to discover what accelerons left them. So, I guess that answers that.
NOLOAF - as the years have passed and I've started to see Acceleracers through the eyes of you and the fans, I have a stronger appreciation for it and less hard feelings. Even though it was not my vision, I do consider myself a fan of Hot WheelsL: Acceleracers.
It's an honor to keep receiving comments from you Jeff Gomez. I'm glad that passionate works of fans of this tightknit have helped you see AcceleRacers in a new light, even if it didn't align with what you originally created. Not many would be willing to be so outgoing and communicative with the followers of their works (or continuations of their work!), especially for a series so dormant and niche - but you're the complete opposite. We're lucky to have you!
I never really thought the Scrim corporation was a front for the Silencers. Considering Vert's dad didn't seem to be a part of the Scrim corporation during the World Race, I figured that some federal organization, perhaps a branch inside the Pentagon, probably reached out to Tesla after the event previously mentioned, creating Operation Silencers (or something like that) to investigate the Clypt organization and the Accelerons! During the investigations, they would've found the Clypt organization was a front for the Drone Racers. At least, that's my head canon.
2:18 Gelorum explains in one of the movies that they were "buried deep within the Earth", not in a realm. The ice presumably implying that they left from a remote location like Antarctica.
I enjoyed Acceleracers a lot more, I liked it's darker and more serious direction. I think these changes mostly still work in unverse, SCRIM changed its name to the Silencerz and Tezla broke away from it around the time that happened. Tezla also stole Gig and attempted to reprogram him and failed but Gig stayed with him to spy on him. Maybe the Silencerz didn't try to stop Tezla incase he had better drivers than them and that they were also providing more competion for the drones. Vert's father stayed with the organization as it became the Silencerz. I also think Vert's father was responsible for getting Tezla to give Vert the Deora II in Highway 35. Granted giving a 16 year old that literally just got his license involved in a dangerous race in another dimension doesn't make any sense but at some point you just need to toss logic aside and enjoy the movie. CLYP was probably just a front for the racing drones to present themselves to humans with. They probably also made less threatening robots for this reason as well. Granted this still doesn't make sense as they were powerful enough to not need to do that but that's just because the first movie wasn't written with that in mind.
I think the reason why CLYP was a benevolent front is because in Acceleracers the Drones’ ultimate goal was to take over the Acceleron Relam and this conquer Earth. They had to patiently wait for the opportunity (Tezla and Highway 35) to arise so they can make their move, and as we all know now only a human could bring back the wheel(magic or some kind of curse on the Drones?). It doesn’t make a ton of sense to attack and destroy the only thing that can bring the Wheel of Power out of Hot Wheels City so you can put your master plan in motion. I think for the same reason CLYP recruited a human (Kurt Wylde) to do their dirty work and if it ever went public, slander Tezla’s name and have a literal celebrity supporter. And if that’s the case it does make sense to have a benevolent front to market to the people “Hey we are harmless” to make global take over easier. I also think that SCRIM is a part of the U.S Government preparing for the inevitable (Drones attacking) and I believe Tezla left because of that typical he didn’t want HIS LIFES WORK controlled by the U.S Government. And the Deroa was left for Vert’s dad, I genuinely don’t think it was left for Vert.
it makes sense to manufacture weaker robots with earth technologies and materials because they have a finite number of drones while stuck on earth. We see they are only able to manufacture the green drones (Acceleron's design and technology) after they take over hot wheels city. Even if it were possible to make more drones on earth it would be far less conspicuous for the CLYP organization to "invent" a new winged car that features a robotic pilot.
Tbh I felt that the retcons in Acceleracers probably weren't so bad since Mattel seemed to distance Acceleracers from the rest of Hot Wheels, including most of World Race, and make a more mature story. As far as I am concerned in Acceleracers, the series is in a World Race continuity, not *the* World Race continuity that Jeff Gomez inferred in the AMA he hosted in 2018. In other words, the retcons simply reflected the past events (and how the World Race panned out) within the Acceleracers continuity, rather than what was seen in the World Race proper.
Love this video idea. Guess I don't need to do it now. You clearly defined what a retcon is and provided great examples. Louis' editing fits your style too! I seem to be the only one who thinks of this, but I don't believe the Racing Drones hibernated in the Ice Realm. In Breaking Point, Gelorum tells Kadeem they've waited "deep inside the Earth, dormant for thousands of years...". I believe that's what the flashbacks is actually showing the viewers. The ice environment being a late Ice Age Earth instead. (Which ended 10,000+ years ago). This is also supported by how the Drones reactivate when they hear a traffic jam with sounds from human cars. In other words, if one thinks of CLYP as a front for the Drones, then the whole CLYP/Racing Drones retcon works better, minus aesthetics. Sadly the Silencerz retcon is even more questionable. Gig in The Ultimate Race states that, "I'm hardwired to override any reprogramming attempts." This means Tezla didn't invent him, meaning he had to have gone rogue prior to World Race, which doesn't line up with the whole SCRIM thing, as well as Jack Wheeler being friendly. (Unless of course, Jack became a Silencerz after Tezla left.) Note: Rainmaker was not the replacement. Mainframe Entertainment animated both World Race and AcceleRacers. To simply it, Mainframe around 2006-2007 reformed into Rainmaker Entertainment. Of course the animation company always has involvement in some story control, but in terms of a Starlight replacement for AcceleRacers, that would simply be Mattel's internal teams and some creative consultants.
I choose to believe that SCRIM was the Silencerz organization in the World Race, which explains why Tesla had GIG, as well as why Major Wheeler and Tesla got along. However, after seeing that his work was being taken out of his hands, Tesla left, taking GIG and other Silencerz technology, explaining how GIG went rogue, and because of the betrayal, the Silencerz switch names, and no longer associate with Tesla.
Ok, here's a bit of a thought on the discrepancies with Scrim and the Silencerz. The Silencerz was a front to recruit new drivers as you mentioned, but you also mentioned it was run by the government. This, to me, has cover story written all over it. Maybe the US government chose Tezla, as he was the lead historian/scientist on the team, to be the face of Scrim while the Silencerz was the true name/nature of the organization. Then Tezla "defected" once he had the Wheel of Power and had Vert return it. He then built the acceledrome under the nose of the Silencerz and sent in his previous drivers to simply get to the Accelerons first, or maybe, take back the wheel because he didn't trust the government with the kind of power the wheel possesses.
I’m just going to toss this out there But Given that Tezla still had enough funding to create something as massive as the Accelerdrome and to keep it under wraps from the general public, is it really that hard to believe that there was a split or that the Silencerz and Scrim were either A divisions of the same organization or some kind of split occurs and legally speaking Tezla is still head of Scrim but Silencerz split off from it. As for the drones, well I think the only thing that really changed over all is the models (which could have all sorts of implications that don’t directly retcon, rebel racing drones that grow too smart for Gelorum anyone?) if the Drones had a means of getting into earth from the Ice Realm (note they heard cars so for all we know there was even a rift between worlds that’s what woke them up) But if they already had all their tech in tact from being in hibernation then it wouldn’t take more then a few weeks to create enough of a cover story to convince kurt a bit of hacking and all that fun stuff and boom functional cover story. TL;DR I find all these retcons more or less understandable. Except Lani, she should have been behind the wheel again
I know this comment's a year old but the Lani thing bugs me too now that it's been pointed out. A new female driver was introduced in Acceleracers with the Teku (Karma) but then Lani reappears just as an assistant to Tezla? She could've easily replaced Karma in her role and been written in to make sense since she already has history driving alongside Vert in World Race. It just seems odd, like was there some sort of insistence that Tezla has to have an assistant that's a World Race character?
Another small thing, during the first leg of the world race Vert says "A wipeout like that, and i hardly got dinged?! These cars can really take some punishment" meanwhile in the storm realm Slingshot (Kurts car) and 70s Roadrunner (Taros car) Both ended up getting destroyed in the realm (Taros Technological and Kurts physically) it makes sense for everyone elses car to be able to be damaged as theyre not driving HW35 cars but to our knowledge Kurt, Taro and Vert drive their original Cars, plus even banjees car even looks like it was never damaged when you get the glimpse of it in the swamp realm (just covered in moss and grass etc)Not sure if these count as retcons but it did raise questions to me as the cars where basically invincible in World Race, hell Lani drove her car through Lava, i mean she didnt make it but the car was perfectly fine even once Lani was out of it. Also after the 1st Acceleracers movie Vert never uses his booster jets ever again(minus the junkrealm) which i found odd.
Well when you really think about it, the racing realms were just a massive step up of difficulty from highway 35 as the racing realms actually had obstacles that could kill you. Not to mention the lightning in the storm realm is technically "other worldly" and could very much be much more powerful than lightning here on earth. So taro's Plymouth getting a hit by a bolt to completely disable it makes sense along with slingshot being struck directly on the window could very easily break it. And if you're looking at the whole wheel ordeal falling off slingshot, just remember those weren't the originals from world race.
And Vert wasn't in that many situations where the boosters were necessary, the only times he could have used it for help is when he flew off the track unintentionally in the water realm and when he flew off the track intentionally in the cliffside realm during the ultimate race and even then he was moving so fast both times that it probably wouldn't have made much of a difference. Vert also wanted to prove he was the best driver in the world so he most likely wouldn't have used it as he saw it as unfair or that he couldn't do it without it so he only uses it when it saves his life, like recorrecting himself when he fell of the track in the storm realm, avoiding a dangerous crash in the swamp realm, and getting out of the compactor in the junk realm
An alternate theory I've had to the reason of the lack of durability the cars underwent, aside from the more hostile environment they went in, is that when they transitioned to becoming Teku and Metal Maniac drivers and had their cars re-modified to fit the team they're in, they may have stripped away/altered what made the cars incredibly durable in the first place. As you mentioned, Banjee's Ballistic doesn't look damaged at all despite being covered in moss and stuck floating on the swamp water's surface. I bet if that was modified from its original appearance, it would've suffered more heavier damage.
Let's be honest - the only reason the cars were indestructible in HW35 was because: - The animation budget probably couldn't afford to show dents/damage to the cars - Making the cars invincible made them more cool for the target audience (kids) - They were there to sell the diecast toy cars, which... yeah, besides the wheels sometimes bending, were basically indestructible, lol It was simply convenient on all fronts to make the cars invincible. But it didn't make for a good story. With Acceleracers' darker tones, it makes sense to retcon the indestructible cars and make it so the racers are actually in real danger.
Can we dedicate one video to all these moments from acceleracers that literally blew out our brains like the fact that other drivers were lost into the realms or how Banjees car can be found in the swamp realm or how can the drones have more accelechargers?
The swamp realm opened twice because nobody made it to the end before it closed. The realms only stay closed after they are completed. The drones have three accelacharger s at the beginning because their are three realms that where completed before the storm realm. This isn’t a mystery it’s made explicitly clear that the drones have been entering realms before the humans.
Mannn, this one was really interesting! I think the World Race GBA game goes in more detail about SCRIM, but I'm not sure. It's interesting to think of what the community would be like if Jeff's originally planned story went through. Would it last 15 years? Would the community still be around? Or perhaps would it be even *bigger* of what we have now?
@@NamedWasTaken I think he just talks more about the history of SCRIM and his involvement. You can probably emulate it and find out yourself or find a longplay on youtube
So in the when Wylde was lost in the realm it was mentioned that a realm has never opened twice. But the swamp realm seemed to be opened twice since we see Banjee was there once, and it had reopened again for the new drivers. Weird
Gig said the realms never open twice once completed and the Accelecharger acquired Basically Banjee never completed the realm and the Drone's didn't get the Accelecharger then so the realm could still be open
I was under the impression that Scrim was always Tesla's company which he founded with technology stolen from the Silencerz and that he had no knowledge of the Major's involvement with the Silencerz and that he simply gave him a bullshit explanation to cover for Vert, meanwhile the Silencerz kept tabs on Tesla through Gig allowing him to do all of their work for them.
Here's something interesting: What if the Acceleron Diecast Series Racing Drones are the good Drones? Like, after the Drones betrayed the Accelerons, the Accelerons made more that didn't betray them and those are the Accelerons Series Drones. Just like in Battle Force 5 Revolution you notice that the sentients got some Sarks and just like how Acceleron Diecast Drones are purple, the sentient Sarks are also purple. So maybe there were gonna be good drones on the Accelerons side on the 5th movie? Edit: nvm i just learned that its a Realm Series not an Acceleron Series.
I don't know because I understand the Accelerons don't want to make anymore Racing Drones after all the threatening and sinister things that have happened with them, especially what torment a human racer like Kadeem had to go through besides the effects his noticeable injuries had done to him. Plus the beings (being?) clearly stated in the Ruins Realm 3.3 Mini-episode "The Realms were created for living creatures, not for machines" which means they don't have reasons to trust non-biological lifeforms, it would be a bad and tramautic thing to re-experience again especially if Vert or any other driver came to the world they live in seeing these things that caused pain again, even if they're good ones now.
The movies are filled with cringe and strange writing choices, But I still love what they did and how they set out to turn racing into way more. Ultimately, its awesome what they accomplished in my eyes, and I will remember the movies forever, so glad many others feel the same
In Breaking Point Gallorum states that the drones waited hidden on the earth, not in the ice realm, and nothing in the ruins realm episode actually outright states that they were in the ice realm. To me it makes logical sense that they were on earth until they captured hotwheels city. Meanwhile, I always thought that Clypp was just a charade, made to make Kurt think he was just working for another company. Obviously the man wouldn't side with a group of evil robots trying to take over the world. I mean, they put a lot of effort into making Gallorum look human. Meanwhile, my theory for Skrim is as follows: Tesla worked for the Silencerz, which was a government project, until he left, stealing their technology as well as gig, and founded the Skrim corporation, from which he continued his work. Eventually, Major wheeler is brought back into contact with Tesla, at the end of the World Race, where he finds out what's going on, and also has access to reprogramming Gig (remember how Gig gets destroyed, but then is suddenly repaired again after Major Wheeler shows up). This was likely when he got gig to start sending them information on what Tesla was doing so they could develope their own technology
Been a silent viewer for a couple years or so, whenever you started making stuff, was NOT expecting my name to show up at 8:43 Throws me way back to that AMA. Also, my name is not Cooly588
Just got done watching your "Who are the Silencerz" where the clip of Dr. Tezla says "for want of a better name, we'll call them the Silencers". As you said in the video discussing Tezla about how he lied about their existence to distance himself from them, it's possible they're actually called SCRIM still. But to help distance himself from them came up with a fake name (or at least used their own internal nickname for the group), as there's 5 people in attendance who may remember him being involved with SCRIM. Also with Tezla being the "Founder and President of the SCRIM Corporation", he could well be the Founder for SCRIM/Silencerz and at the time the President of it during Highway 35. Especially as Major Wheeler shows up at the end and it being speculated the Deora II being meant for the Major instead of Vert. Plus since SCRIM and the Highway 35 race being set up to recruit drivers and four of the members of the Silencerz are from Highway 35 it means it was a success. But to me it seems there was a clear fallout between Tezla and SCRIM at some point, where Tezla fled to the Acceldrome, and the Silencerz followed their own agenda. As to why Tezla isn't in league with SCRIM/Silencerz anymore is this. I think what happened was Tezla discovered Highway 35 and Wheel of Power, got funding from various places and put together SCRIM and the Highway 35 race. Hedging his bets and going with quantity and quality and his belief that competition makes the drivers perform better sets it up as a racing event. After the wheel is secured and he hooks it up, he discovers later the wheel is more then a source of clean energy and in fact leads to the racing realms, and the Accelerons. Having the experience from Highway 35 makes use of a small squad of ex-Highway 35 drivers to obtain the Accelechargers. In addition, develops the 3D Projection of the Wheel to be able to enter the Realms without having it during this time. After some issues with the old Highway cars not being able to make it through the realms and obtain the Accelchargers (which explains why Banjee's Ballistic is in the swamp) , leads to the Silencerz new cars that more focus on being able to sneak through the realms. But I assume the Racing Drones eventually make their way to Highway 35 to obtain the Wheel of Power so they can enter the realms which leads to the Silencerz leading a mission to try and collect it before the Drones do, with Tezla being the closest but ultimately failing. After they're observed winning realms Tezla most likely leaves for the Acceledrome and contacts previous Highway 35 drivers to try and get through the realms in a more direct way instead of the Silencerz method of stealthing through. The Silencerz are fully aware of what Tezla is doing thanks to Gig, but since his crew is distracting the drones and allowing them to start collecting Accelechargers themselves they likely leave him be. Also Major Wheeler is most likely just the leader of the squadron that goes into the realms as drivers. Any President or equivalent as Tezla was is most likely someone different to the Major. I guess a TL:DR of this is: Tezla set up SCRIM, put together the Highway 35 race to obtain the Wheel of Power as an energy source, but learnt it actually lead to the racing realms and the Accelerons. While with SCRIM developed a way to replicate it to enter the racing realms, which was done by Ex-Highway 35 drivers. After failing to finish the realms their new stealth focused cars are developed. After the Racing Drones seize the Wheel of Power and Hot Wheels City, Tezla leads a squad or maybe is sent by himself to steal the wheel to prevent the drones from entering the realms but fails. After the drones start wining realms Tezla leaves to the Acceledrome and contacts more Highway 35 drivers to try a more direct approche to winning realms.
5:44 the individual robots and their black cars in World Race would still be racing drones, they are drones that race. Clipp is the "company" that makes them.
I think this is pretty simple, Scrimm was Tesla’s company, but at some point there was a falling out for some reason, maybe a difference in how they’d use this new discovery, Gig was already “stolen” but used to spy on Tesla, maybe he was “kicked out” due to using the World Racers, either way the Silencers were probably being prepared during World Race, but ready by Acceleracers. The Clip Agency was merely a simple cover made by Gallorum, pretending to be a Human agency of some kind, thus the Human looking Clip Drones, they needed a Human ti get the Wheel Of Power for them, after the World Race the City was accessible, thus Clip wasn’t needed anymore, thus the Racing Drones fully became active under Gallorum.
This is a little off topic but I have a very close connection between an Acceleracers character and a P4 character so hearing P4 music in the background of this video put a HUGE smile on my face. (It's actually a trio of those 2 as well as a pokemon)
So Gelorum was half drone ,half acceleron ?Does that make sense somehow? .Also if CLYP was a renegade group of accelerons could that mean accelerons were robots???I don't know man this series is literally my childhood and i love it with all my heart but it just doesn't make sense for crying out loud.
Acceleracers was an ok series. The plot and evolving of the already known characters and the new ones were good. But wtf happened to the animation budget? They straight up butchered Taro's figure, Mark got extremely big for a two year time skip (that is supposed to be the time that passed between world race and acceleracers), animations, such as gear shifting, stomping on the pedal and many more things just make it look like the world race, but the wifi bars dropped from full to 2
My theory is that SCRIM is the official name for the Silencers, and Telsa was the president at the time. After the events of the World Race, the rest of SCRIM realized the amount of power that actually existed and started to push Tesla out. Major Wheeler and Telsa were already friends, so that's why Tesla knew about some sixteen year old and why the rest of the drivers are pros. Somehow Lady G was pushed to Earth and had to found CLIP and build makeshift drones and employ humans until she could retake the city.
Id say the CLYP organization is the way the racing drones hid on earth, awakining in the ice realm and some how escaping, they hired kurt to be a spy as he was invited into the world race. While for SCRIM, tesla was the head of it, but he and the other higher ups had different ideals, SCRIM Vs teslas stubbornness, so he left stealing gig "secretly", the reason he calls SCRIM the "Silencers" is to not incriminate himself too much to the racers, better to be a goon than the Former leader of the opposition. according to the acceleracers universe.
It makes me really happy that people still care so much about this series. So incredible that there's still enough buzz around h35 & ar that the creators are commenting on RU-vid videos made about them lmao
People, I will make a big racing realm based on the Hot Wheels series made of recyclable materials where I will drive an fpv car and record this moment
I still stand by my theory that the Silencerz were somehow working with the accelerons. The main thing I always notice is that the two teams have inverted color schemes
I honestly can't see SCRIM and Silencerz as being the same. It seems to me that Silencerz were made from members of the SCRIM. That way things makes more sense.
I can't believe people still talk about this series. I loved it as a kid but the continuity is still confusing as an adult. I still think it's fun to watch
I will say, I think that Scrim and Silencerz are not one and the same but rather two parts of one whole. Kind of like that whole thing with BlackWatch and Overwatch. Where-in the Silencerz are the secret government organization running missions undercover, whilst the SCRIM corp was a figurehead and public version of that technology used. This is just how I pictured it though. The biggest plot hole is, how the heck did Kadeem cross an ocean in Krazy 8's to get to America Highway 35 before Vert did??? In fact, how did everyone beat Vert lol!
opinions on things can be biased if they're also nostalgic but oh man, I grew up with a lot of things that I've enjoyed and nothing has ever rivaled AcceleRacers, it is beyond great, it is an original, fascinatingly uncanny and in depth show. Bro I have never seen anything like this, I can't even think of a single TV show that has been this good in a creative sense, the accelerons, the realms, they all create this mysterious vibe to it that makes it so interestingly strange, with your curiously to found out more it keeps you hooked. I gotta say though how as a child it gave me nightmares, many of the realms were very uncanny it spooked me out. The Ruins realm is an example, the scenes with the drones, the random symbols and voices with suspense soundtrack was creepy as hell, especially the part where the drones "reactivate" after their hibernation. basically a lot of "fear of the unknown" hence me saying how uncanny the show was, especially in comparison to other casual KID'S shows. it is a criminally underrated series
The Scrim Corp vs Silencerz thing isn't that big of deal to me, how I've always read it is that the Silencerz had Tesla set up the Scrim Corp to recruit drivers for the Silencerz. This is why Vert got an invite (Major Wheeler is the leader of the Silencerz and probably had a say) even though he had no experience and this is why the SIlencerz recruit Banjee, Alec and Dan Dresden when they are left behind in the Racing Realms, they had already proved themselves in the World Race (the Silencerz may have even sabotaged them in the Realms to do this).
NOLOAF, I love your stuff so much! you've single handedly given me inspiration to make my own videos! And I can't think of a better person to look to for guidance. How do you make your audio sound so crisp and clear? I'm having so much trouble with my microphone constantly recording unwanted sibilance
Hey, thank you so much for the kind words! It really means a lot and I would be glad to help you :D To start things off, I think you should have a good microphone. It doesn't have to be the best, but it should at least be decent. For my first run of videos, I used the Blue Snowball. It isn't the most extravagant microphone out there, but it certainly got the job done! If you can afford something a bit more premium, I would suggest looking into the Blue Yeti or Blue Yeti Nano - these are what most RU-vidrs use nowadays. Once you have a good mic, you should make sure you record in a good environment. You don't need a room covered in acoustic foam or anything, but try to record in a somewhat small room to reduce echo. If you have any family members, make sure to record with a closed door and don't forget to turn off any fans that may be heard in the recording Now that you got your hands on a good mic comes the fun part. I use Audacity myself when recording, but anything will do. When you record, your mouth should be 8-12 inches away from your mic. Any closer may exaggerate any "popping" noises made by you, or any spit when you talk. Speaking of which, if you can, look into also getting a pop filter to use while recording. This will minimize the popping and hisses made by pronouncing letters like "p" and "s". Anything that is too strong can be removed in post. While speaking, make sure to speak clearly and somewhat slowly. I speak really fast in real life, so that last part is especially important for me. And if you think you speak to slowly, maybe speed it up a bit. It's all about finding a happy medium. Once you've recording everything, next comes the editing phase. Personally I use Sony Vegas Pro for editing audio and Adobe Premiere for editing video. Here you can edit out all of your mistakes. You can edit out mispronunciations, random background noises, hissing and popping noises, etc. Editing out parts where you misspeak is the most important, but other things such as the hissing and popping noises aren't as necessary to remove, especially if you plan on having music within your videos. After you're satisfied with your commentary track, you should save and export to somewhere you know you'll remember. At this point, you're basically done! There are a couple of things I didn't mention, such as normalizing, compressing, or equalizing audio, but I don't think any of these are really necessary if you are just starting out. But once you thing you've got a good grip of things, feel free to check out videos such as this one! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TYF5ytMDFpA.html&ab_channel=KingTutsPro Sorry this went on a bit long haha, I just wish someone explained all of this to me when I started out. Good luck with all the content you're trying to create! :')
This isn't a retcon but it is something wrong with the speed of silence. When Taro knocks the drone car that is RD02 off the building in the metro realm, when Torque first sees it, the CGI model is for RD06, not RD02. It turns back into RD02 the scene after Edit: I found a few more mistakes after watching the marathon. In the Cliffside realm, the sweeper chasing Shirako and Kurt switches from going in the direction of the arrows on the track to going against them on and off. In the ruins realm the glyphs show the symbol for the water realm but show the drones in the lightning realm. That's all for now
it's just like the half life 2 beta, I wouldve loved to see an AcceleRacers developed by starlight runner with a tone similar to the first movie. I always liked acceleracers growing up but I think Im starting to appreciate WR more and more
Explains why battleforce was so... drastically different and awful. Also some other things that made no sense to me. Would love to see more acceleracers... Not more battleforce.
there isn't a single night in which I don't wonder what would the hot wheels highway 35 movies had been if they didn't tell them to cut content or make it more "kid friendly"
I assume that both SCRIM and CLYP are fronts to their successor factions in Acceleracers. Dr. Tesla lied to the drivers from the very beginning and he was removed from SCRIM for misappropriating resources to build his own headquarters and went rogue.
hey NOLOAF do you think that they’ll ever continue the accelerator series I’m a big fan of their content and I would’ve loved if they made it do you think you’ll ever make a video explaining if they’re every going to come back
unfortunately, i don't think acceleracers will ever come back :c unlike world race, acceleracers was a bit of a commercial failure. mattel had no reason to continue it back it the day, nor do they have any reason to revive it now. but it doesn't mean acceleracers still can't live on through the people who still passionate about it, and content like this. i hope this was a good enough answer c:
@@NOLOAF-AR Well, there is one single hope. Petitions. Money. Plans. Ideas. Interest. Revolution. We can make it happen. There is a hope. We just need to bring this hope to life.
This could be a possibility, but before the events of world race, Dr. Tezla left the silencerz and created the scrim corporation to obtain the wheel of power for himself. The only two members of the silencerz prior to acceleracers were Major Wheeler and Gig who played Dr. Tezla since world race. Gig did not play the role of the bad guy until acceleracers because he did not want to compromise himself before Tezla obtained the wheel of power and know what it's capable of. However, when the racing drones stole the wheel of power, the silencerz formed a group of drivers that consisted of Major wheeler, Banjee Castillo, Alec wood, Dan Dresden and possibly a few "lost" drivers from the world race (possibly Rekkas, Pete Karris, Skeet, & Krakatoa). Also Vert Wheeler would have joined the silencerz in the 5th movie. By the way, 4 more realms would have been in the 5th movie including sky, forest, glass, and sound which is why those realms were only on the trading card game and were the "secret" realms.
In Breaking point Gelorum tells Kadeem that that the drones were stuck deep in the earth for thousands of years waiting for humans to discover what accelerons left them. So, I guess that answers that.
Although it was a bit jarring going from World Race into Acceleracers, I think they worked out very well. The SCRIM corporation was most likely founded and run by Tesla, given he was able to fund his own projects during Acceleracers. After the World Race, seeing he was a bit over his head with the amount of research needed, the US government stepped in to provide additional funding and support. In return, the US government would not charge him with his illegal actions on US soil or seize his assets but instead take over the SCRIM Corporation and Tesla would indeed become just another government employee. The CLYP Organization was most likely a front for the Racing Drones as they learned about humanity and the threat we posed to their plans of taking over the world and racing realms. Since they were at a disadvantage in terms of information, they bif their time and opted to try and manipulate others through the guise of the CLYP Organization. Once that failed, and they aqcuired enough knowledge over their advesaries, they made their move to attack and dropped the whole act. Thats how I saw it at least lol
I always thought the Clip organization was a front, same for Skrim. I knew less about Clip becoming the Drones but I always took it as Gelorum being the one active one left, using her knowledge to spearhead Clip’s robo development until her drones could wake up.
I always figured SCRIM was a false name. If Tesla was still working for the silencers in world race, then SCRIM would have been the silencer's cover name. If Tesla had already left the silencers by then, SCRIM was Tesla's cover to disguise his origins from the drivers. It works both ways
I don't feel as though any of these retcons were really major. WR may exist in it's own continuity, but it also has no problems fitting into the Acceleracers one as well. SCRIM could easily have been a corporation founded and controlled by Tesla, but hired on by the government to research the Accelerons. Then, when Tesla "blew every fuse in North America," he was fired or otherwise removed by some combination of the company board and/or the government officials he worked under (i.e. Jack Wheeler's bosses). This might explain what Jack was doing at Tesla's cube at the end of World Race; He was checking in on why the entire country had a power surge from the complex. Tesla could even have been removed by force, as some kind of bureaucratic cover up of what Tesla had been doing. At this point, the Silencerz, or the government organization with which Tesla was working, go after him, which is why he goes into hiding to continue his research unhindered. They keep tabs on him, but they know he'll never give his stuff over willingly, so Gig's hardwiring is used to spy on Tesla. As for the Drones, we have no reason to think they didn't scout out humanity under the guise of the CYLP organization to find the best strategy for going after the Accelerons. When they lose in WR, they drop the disguise since their true nature is revealed. There might even be a whole story untold in there, with Jack Wheeler or someone finding out about the drones, and the Drones therefore giving up on hiding since the realms aren't exactly open to the public anyway. The biggest question is how the drones could even handle the Wheel of Power to steal it in the first place, since they couldn't do it in World Race. That might be explained, but I don't recall where.
The way I figure how Scrim and CLYP are/can be canon is this; Scrim is still the corporation Dr. Tezla founded as a way for him to create his inventions and recruit racers to obtain the Wheel for his goal of renewable clean energy. We know he was a former Silencer but went rogue because he had his own agenda. I believe he was a Silencer some time before World Race, but not during. CLYP I believe can be explained rather simply as it just being a front for the racing drones. If Gelorum can look more human, so could the other racing drones. And Kurt clearly didn't know exactly who he was working for, definitely not that he was working for alien robots. Sometime between World Race and Acceleracers the Drones abandoned their disguise as CLYP and I imagine Scrim went defunct when Dr. Tezlas old headquarters was raided. That's just my theory that to me better explains the fates of the two organizations other than just being retcon'd out of existence.
How did the drones manage to take the wheel? In the World Race, they said that Highway 35 was made for people, and apparently since they needed Kurt, they couldn't pick him up on their own. But in Acclerasers, we see that they just took it from Hot Wheels City. That is, it turns out that they can still pick up the wheel themselves. Why then did they need Kurt in WR? And why did Tezla go after the wheel if in WR he admitted that it was too powerful? To protect him from the Drones? So in WR the drones needed Kurt to pick him up, they couldn't themselves, doesn't that make the wheel safe?
I thought that since Tezla stole from the Silencerz, he utilized what he took to "create" the most advanced racing tech in the world, and so the SCRIM corp and his massive wealth, though how he got a secret government organization off his back for all that time was definitely weird, Vert's dad could've confronted Tezla in person but was more worried about his son so Tezla got away with that at the end of Highway 35
I feel like the Clyp Agency could’ve just folded. I mean think about it, Gelorum would’ve had to spend a ton of money to have all the tech, pay Kurt, and keep up with everything. Plus with the end game being that Tesla’s drivers ultimately won, it would’ve been difficult to continue to legitimize her company, especially with all the dirt she would’ve had piled up on its name from the cheating and the failure to complete the ONE task it was set on doing. Therefore as a result in an effort to keep contending with Tesla and to create “a new name for herself to start fresh”, she created her new entity and army.
About part 1: It could be that Gelorum was already on the humans realm, to measure their racing progress and, when the time comes, awaken the rest of the drones (Since you know "machines just do what they are programmed to do") creating her own and less functional version of the drones.
Well I watched acceleracers when I was a kid and World Race like 3 days ago, so it was nice to get references of the first movie that I ignored before, definitely if you start with acceleracers you won't need to watch world race to understand it. Only thing that I'm not entirely sure that is a retcon is Gig being a spy. At the beginning Tesla was from scrim right? Gig is not technically a spy then. And in acceleracers, well Gig is a robot so you wouldn't notice "malice" coming from a robot, and that aside, a spy is worthless if you discover it so the revelation of Gig being a spy didn't bother me. Also you notice some of his lines being suspicious in ultimate race when he's talking with Lani while the drivers were in the cosmic realm
Clip may have been a front for Gelorum and the drones, and I personally think Dr Tesla may have been the president of the Scrim corporation, founding it under orders from his superiors in the Silencerz as a public face for them, which would also explain the inconstancy with Gig if he took Scrim and broke away from them, attempting to take Gig with him after the events of world race, that would work as a canon explanation for both of them
Perhaps the Silencerz weren’t actually called that. Keep in mind, Tezla said that was who they were, and none of the drivers from the world race were suspicious of it being the same organization Tezla headed. Scrim being mentioned by name on the recap disk could very well have been explained in this manner.
