The accelerator pedal position sensor is an electronic sensor mounted on the accelerator pedal replacing the steel cable system that opened the throttle plate.
This electronic throttle pedal system has better throttle response and better fuel economy than the TPS sensor on the throttle body.
This sensor is known as the APP (Accelerator Position Pedal) sensor.
