The template has a shopping cart and it's almost ready to go, it just needs to be connected to a payment option. Is woocommerce the best solution for such thing? Are there any other options than woocommerce? Is there any detailed steps for that or I should just have the web developer to do with the customization? I live in Saudi not in the US, do I have to put something in my consideration?

Thanks for the video. I've built a site on my PC (IIS, PHP and MySQL) along with shopping cart system but as my previous experience is coding internal corporate intranets I've never handled financial transactions before. I know code so integrating it into the site isn't a problem but it's essential to keep costs low and the right option to go for is still not obvious. I've no experience with SSL certificates either. I'm just a guy in the UK trying to make a web business on his own, so I've not got much of a budget either! If there's any further direction you could provide I'd be very grateful.

Loved the video as you worked through the various options available. I had my mind made up which way I am going before you started asking the questions. With that being said though, I think that if you gave further guidance to each answer, it would help people who are still not sure. e.g. Q1: Who is going to do the work? Thanks Brian for a great video. I have a small tutoring business where the invoicing is monthly and currently i use paypal what solution/WF would you suggest (customer experience and lowering cost). Ideally I would like to close the loop ( invoice status to paid when paid), and sending reminders. Can I somehow get this data to my webpage(site) where the customer's given some kind of detail should be able to see their pending amounts/invoices and buttons to pay them ?

What country is your company located in? Do you have stripe as a payment processing option in your country? For invoicing I would recommend www.simplypay.me and you can connect it to your stripe account. For payments on your website I would recommend thrivecart. You'll need a special link to buy thrivecart so if you want to go that route let me know and I'll send you the link. It's not open to the public right now

Thank you SO much for this video!! I'm trying to integrate my existing tools 1. G Suite website that currently doesn't have any online purchase option but drives business to my Brock and mortar shop 2. Chase Merchant Account linked to my Chase Business Checking and Savings accounts 3. Chase Paymentech currently used with their provided swipe and chip reader 4. PayPal for business account I've used for invoicing and collecting online payments 5. Square card reader that I've never used I have my brick and mortar shop closed to public shipping sure to pandemic, so I need to integrate a way to accept payments from my website. I don't know if I've already got what's needed to make that happen, or if I need to build a different website, gateway, etc. Any advice is welcome....🤷

Regarding the recurring payments. 2 part question for you: 1- Do you require that the customer fills out their own credit card information on a payment page, which then triggers a recurring subscription payment? OR do you have an order form of some sort that allows you to manually collect payment securely and then you will manually trigger the recurring payments (i.e. billing plan function)?

I'm thinking of an order form with a cart where shipping and billing address is collected. The user creates an account to track purchase. The billing information will go to a third party gateway to collect and process payment (one-time or recurring subscription based on a 3 or 6 month period).

Your best option without getting into something custom, so to set up a Wordpress Website for your orders and configure this through the Woocommerce shopping cart software. I don't know that it can be done (the way you are describing) within the interface of Wix. I believe that Wix is a simpler website builder and it doesn't allow for as many customizations such as the one you are seeking. If you need help with the configuration and the website gateway, reach out and I'll help you set it up. -Brian

Thank you for the informations. Very instructive. Is there a particular reason why you did not include SQUARE ? Are they a bad plateform/service ? What I like about them is that I can also accept payment in person via my phone with their "physical" credit cards. People like that and I can't do that with Paypal (I think).

I just didn't include it here because Square isn't primarily an online processing solution. They are better known for their mobile solution. I have seen in many courses on e-commerce that they use a test card number but I have always wondered how I do to validate those credit cards as well as their passwords, as for example on the udemy page, sorry for my English?

depends on what country and how much volume you are processing. The merchant account is more important than the payment gateway that you use.

@@Bancardsales what do you mean? Here in Morocco Banks here impose limitations on how much you can purchase per year that 1500$. And 4500 $ a year for purchasing with foreign currency usually when you travel out Morocco. Then our bank cards can't be used for payments gateways. Please what do you recommend?
