If they had delayed that accepting the truth moment until the end of the game it would have just become tiresome. You would be left sitting there like come on, how long is it going to take you? Better to get it out of the way sooner rather than later.
I actually get a tonne of FF13 vibes in this game. Like the Fallen doorways look a lot like some of the Falcie doorways. Plus people shun the bearers like they do the L'Cie...plus they live on borrowed time like the L'Cie, except instead of turning to Cieth or crystal, you just eventually turn to stone. I feel like I'm about half way through the main storyline now and I'm loving it. Enjoying your playthrough!
25:00 she was adopted true but I don't think they saw each other as siblings. She crushed hard on him when he lifted the spirits of the bearer with the apples and the way he conducted himself as one of the people rather than a lord. He felt similar as he nearly put his arm round her when she was cold. So yeah, raised as siblings but their personal feelings have always been of a different kind of love.
It says in Jill's first ATL Bio that Clive viewed her as a younger sister, but that was 13 whole years ago. They're basically completely different people now. It's only really weird if people make it weird. Not to mention a sibling-"like" bond is tame. This game literally takes place in the 800s, and Elwin and Annabelle, Clive and Joshua's parents, were cousins.
It's really refreshing finding people like LazBoi here and reliving or re-feeling parts of these stories. But also taking in a new viewpoint or perspective sometimes which ends up making me enjoy past experiences even more. Subscribed my good sir. And thanks.
40:56 the best part of the video game. There are great fights and set pieces though this game. Typhon, Titan, Bahamut, odin, ultima all of them are awesome. But nothing comes close to the infernal eikon fight. For me at least.
Goddamn seeing these scenes in bite sized chunks is so great. Keeps the pacing of the video immaculate because its like you know exactly what we want to see one section after the other. And if you do show downtime, its when there is further world/ lore building and seeing your reaction to that is also great. Loving the series.👏
Are you playing in quality mode? Why the hell does it look like it runs so good? My game can get pretty iffy in frame rate mode but when I play on quality it feels almost unplayable but maybe I'm just spoiled for 60fps nowadays
Did you start on performance mode? Because, for me at least, I wish I started on quality. Going from performance to quality was impossible for me since my eyes were used to performance. I tried to go to quality after about 10 hours of playing, since I watched the digital foundry video and they recommended quality if you didn’t start in performance. They were right when it came to not being able to use quality after performance. But since the 1.03 update and motion blur set to zero the game looks amazing. It did before but now it runs even better, imo. Maybe I’m used to the frame drops while exploring, I don’t know, but this 2nd playthrough with the latest update seems a whole lot better, and by that I mean if you told me the game could look better than what I’m experiencing now I’d say you’re a liar lol.
@@fy4b230 yeah I think the default is quality so when I got it I was like oh this is kinda aids then switched to frame rate but everywhere I look people are saying quality is the the shit but I'm just not seeing it And I had a similar experience playing Jedi survivor too where the frame rate mode was a bit ass but quality was just horrid and now I'm in my head like is my ps5 fucked or something I swear this isn't what 30fps used to look like right? RIGHT?!
I am playing quality, I’ve had a few frame drops across the game but it’s mainly a stable 30, like 99% of the time. I usually prefer graphical fidelity over frame rate when I have a choice, depends on the game though.
I am, although if there’s no major reaction I don’t include them for the sake of brevity. There are some great ones though that I’ll definitely be including down the line that were particularly impactful
It’s such a layered inside joke 😭 it’s hard to explain it. I tried to show the origins of it in my FF9 part 2 video, but it might still make no sense unless you were there 😅
As much as I know there are those who just want to watch back scenes in their entirety totally uncut, I try my best to condense my recordings, yet still keep the integrity of the scene intact. I can’t please everyone, but I like to cut out any dead air where nothing is really happening just so I can turn the reactions into as few videos as possible while still retaining the important bits. These videos are reaction showcases after all rather than just full playthroughs of the game. If I didn’t react to something I either skip past it or abbreviate it as much as possible, might not be a style for everyone but it’s what I like to do.
This game is a breath of fresh air. It’s not overly complicated. It’s a simple easy to follow linear story and gameplay. But it does it so well and looks and plays so well. The story is epic. The combat is fun. The graphics are good. The lore is top tier. It feels like a classic from 15 years ago that got remastered and found me at just the right time. Its not the best game ever but it knew what it wanted to be and nailed it. For the few people saying it’s not a true FF game. This games soul is Final Fantasy.
