Glad to see all the comments about this clip of ours. Documentary is due out in the autumn and I am confident you will love it. So many great interviews with his friends and contemporaries plus a wonderful unseen interview with Kevin Caan that has never been seen. Mick tells his own story about his early career as well as his meeting with David Bowie and his whole take on Ziggy. All heady stuff.

He's inspired so many people! When I first watched D.A Penebakers Ziggy Hamersmith gig, it was Ronson that had me transfixed at the age of seven! Fu*k me, even when you watch Spinal Tap, Nigel Tufnel's facial expressions, hair and certain gestures...ITS RONSON! For me, his guitar lick inventry had licks that were so unorthodox yet so melodic, and they haunt me, there are licks i use (have nicked) because i just cant get them out of my head, simple and to the Rock N Roll point! I love you Mick! Cheers for the upload!

Ronno certainly had a great body of work behind him justifying his legendary status! Record production, piano skills (Perfect Day is all Mick... Wow!) and guitar playing - he deffo had his own sound and style and bedroom guitarists like me always have been pushed hard to work out what notes Ronno played on a solo; he didn't adhere to the standard Rock & Blues scales most guitarists used. RIP Ronno!

If the question is posed to me.. 'Who is your all time favorite guitarist?' The answer instantly and singularly is MICK RONSON !!! For me the man totally and completely defined what a guitarist is and should be in 'every' way. Sure there are many greats but there was and will forever be only one 'RONNO'. It's been 36 years since I first heard and saw this man perform, and the sounds and images he produced forever remain indelibly etched in the ears and eyes of my mind. 'Ronno RIP!'

Saw Mick and Ian countless times. Just great

He was also a very good record producer & an awesome arranger. He did a lot of the work with Lou Reed on Transformer & has rarely received any credit for that. To me Bowie = Heaven. Mick & Bowie together = Paradise! Mick had a natural if humble showmanship on stage & had a real chemistry with Bowie. It's a shame he didn't get more recognition. When it comes to singer/songwriters, David Jones is the greatest to me. When it comes to guitarists, Ronson is the best to me.

Can’t get enough of him

Every time I see that clip from Wembley ("Heroes") I choke up. Mick played beautifully - his last live show. As for the rise of the Ziggy era: "Oh, no…now we 'ave to deal with this" - LOL, Ian Hunter. Love how Mick Rock called it a "F---ing Caper" - so true! What times...

Such a great man & guitarist!

I'm in love with this man! He amazes me with his awesome talent! I think some of his songs could be released and become huge hits!!!!!! My goal is to get his t-shirt!
