No kidding on the thank yous! I’m a divorced woman and this is my first RV. (Yeah, the Ex would never travel with a camper.) The self-serve information from Forrest River is severely lacking and full of caveats about “if your trailer is equipped” like I know. (Why do you think I’m reading the manual?) Anyway, your videos are so helpful because they are GeoPro specific. I don’t have the same floor plan, but the systems are the same. So thank you, thank you, thank you!
Hi Droesslers, I wanted to thank you for your videos. My wife and I just purchased a 2021 Rockwood Geo Pro 20BHS. Your videos have saved us so much time and stress by showing us how to hitch, unhitch, empty the grey and black tanks and how to winterize and de-winterize our camper before ever bringing it home. We’ve never owned a camper before so your videos were so helpful. We actually watched your video on accessories and tools and we used your Amazon links to purchase pretty much everything you recommended. So thank you again for taking the time to share with us your experiences with your camper and teaching us newbies how it all works. Please keep em coming!
Larry, we are SO happy to hear that our videos have saved you time and stress. That is the reason why we create our videos; to help other people. Thank you for the support. Happy Camping!
THE most informative for travel trailers I have ever seen. And I don't even own a travel trailer. Thank you so much for all these tips and tricks. I am saving this to my playlist so if I ever buy one I will definitely refer back to this.
If you could sort out putting the pressure regulator on the far side of the water filter, a low pressure reading could indicate it's time to change your filter. It does not take much to clog those filters with sediment.
You videos are massively helpful. We ordered an E-Pro 19FD, it is coming in a couple of weeks. You have helped our confidence! Your list of accessories is sitting in our Amazon cart! Thank you!
Good information. We’re looking at the E19BH because it’s lighter (no slide) and has a lower tongue weight. I liked your first season review. It seems that all travel trailer brands have their problems but the E Pros look like it’s fairly minimal compared to others. Thanks for the videos.
Great video! I spent all day trying to figure out levelers and chocks and I can't wait to see what you have to say when I watch part 2 of this video. The first half of the video really helped me to see what to buy. We're getting out 1st RV in 5 days- a 2021 Geo Pro 20BHS. Thank you for the service you provide in your videos. Your work is meaningful & it really makes a difference in people's lives.
@@cheryldugas5197 Our rig wasn’t new enough for the 12v fridge. I don’t know how much draw this fridge pulls but will work off the batteries like the other 12v items.
Thanks for the very informative video and the great ideas. My wife and I are looking at the same line as you have purchased. We really like the e-pro and Geo-pro line. I really like the E-pro more because of the outside graphics and colors, but overall both because of size, weight and options. Thanks for sharing.
Great video - we just took delivery of an E20BHS and I used a lot of your list for the additional accessories we needed to actually use it. I was looking through the online manual and found in the "Identification and Safety - Tire Safety" section the torque recommendations. Tighten opposite nuts (standard procedure for most any wheel) in three stages: 1) 20-25 ft-lbs, 2) 55-60 ft-lbs, and 3) 85-95 ft-lbs.
Picking up my ePro 19FD tomorrow. Thanks for saving us many hours and $s with your thorough, well-researched video. Couldn't sub fast enough to your channel!
I’m excited to pick up my new E-Pro E20BHS next week. Thank you for sharing these great tips - I’ve just ordered pretty much everything you’ve suggested so that I’ll be good to go.
Exceptional video. Very informative. Just found your channel. Wife and I are looking at this trailer. I saw your first video and was going to suggest the lubricant for the slide out.
Fantastic information and you have gained another subscriber! Keep up the great videos and we look forward to sharing your info with other campers we meet. :-) AND thank you for the links to the items!
Good Video.. I'm getting a GeoPro in a few weeks (Finally) Of course watching tons of videos, yours was the first that mentioned the trailer hub lock (great suggestions)
Totes: amzn.to/3ssDhOf In the description of our videos are the links to everything mentioned. We love the totes. They are heavy duty and fit nicely under the camper!
Thank you. I don't have an RV yet but I have been watching videos like this for over two years. This is the most pragmatic and informative yet. Do those totes come in clear color? It will be nice to find something tough but clear color, in order to quickly see what is inside.
We towed this for a couple years with a 2019 Chevy Traverse (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XaAwXDFOsfo.html). We now mostly tow this with a 2022 Chevy Silverado (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tuII7rG4PUc.html).
Yes, we talk about that right at the end of our dump station video. Check it out here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eKBS5GcyCBc.html
No regrets. Excited to get it out of storage this Spring for another season. I did do an end of season review if you are interested. Here is the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1-2BZ0DXlpw.html
Very cool video. Thank you for sharing. We just purchased a new GeoPro 20BHS and will be picking it up in Sept/October. Your videos def helped me make up my mind in deciding which one to buy since the bunk beds will be perfect for our kids. The review on the accessories were also helpful. Are you located in IL? We are and i see you visited a campground in IL.
Thanks! I believe it would be the same lock. If you want to be 100% sure, go to the Proven Lock website. They have pictures of the hitches that go with each lock. www.provenlocks.com/
Thanks Gary! We bought the hitch lock on amazon. I reached out to Proven Industries to make sure I was ordering the correct one. Here is the one that we bought: amzn.com/B07YMZBCZC
Here are the dimensions that Amazon has for the link I included in the description: Outside Dimensions: 25 3/4" x 17 1/4" x 11 7/8" Here is that link (if you are interested): amzn.to/3ssDhOf
Thanks so very much -- your videos are awesome. Our E-Pro 19FD should be delivered in two months, and we feel MUCH more sanguine about becoming owners. I have most all of your items in my Amazon cart; $737 (and that's without the hitch lock; we're hoping that the wheel lock will be sufficient, but would like to hear your thoughts). Again, we're very grateful for the work you've done for us newbies!
Glad to hear our videos are helpful. We are excited to get back to camping in a couple more months. Enjoy your new camper. We were newbies last year and have enjoyed making these videos while we learned how to use our camper. There is always more to learn. I like the added security (piece of mind) with having the hitch lock.
We have just 1-10pk and we try to find a spot that is fairly level to begin with so that has always been enough. It wouldn't hurt to have extra though.
I suggest getting both a 15 amp adapter and extension cord if you do not have a 30 amp outlet at home. Or if you plan on camping anywhere you will not have 30 amp service. That way you can plug it into a normal outlet and run everything except for the air conditioning. We do this before going on a trip so we can turn the fridge on and get it cold before traveling.
Links to all the products mentioned in this video are in the description. The totes are listed under "Tools" and are the 1st product listed under there. They are 15 gallon Sterilite Industrial totes.
The slide out lube is for the metal rails so that they run smoothly and prevents rust. The silicon spray is for the rubber seals to prevent them from getting hard and cracking.
Got a Proven Industry hitch lock for ours as well. There are video 'test reviews' out there about hitch locks, that one is the only one that couldn't be defeated in less than 15 to 30 seconds, you'll need a cutting torch or serious power tools to get this monster lock off. Yes, the bug screens are necessary for sure, including the vent area of the fridge, the same propane smell loving bugs & mud wasps love to get in there as well. The built in water filter system on the 'pros' is a nice touch, and having one of the blue addon filters will help those last longer. They state the filters are good for 10,000 gallons. The only place I've found replacement filters for the system is from Forest River, and it's a real rip off at $25 each plus $25 shipping! As soon as I find replacements somewhere else, I'm done with 'em! www.forestriverelectronics.com/product-p/fre-10-gn.htm
We tow this camper with a 2019 Chevy Traverse RS with the factory installed towing package. I am putting together a Tow Vehicle video that should release this weekend (Sunday evening). Thanks.
Since the plugs are different, it will allow you to plug in your 30A trailer. I am not sure if it actually does anything to the power coming into the trailer since your trailer won't have anything that would pull more than 30A. It if did, I assume the 30A fuse in the trailer would trip. I hope that helps.
