*We accidentally put 1.5L Engine for the Accord Hybrid on the 0-60 MPH test screen. The Accord Hybrid is a 2L engine, the non-hybrid is a 1.5L. Sorry for messing that up!
I saw one of these the other day. I was shocked at how good it looked. I don't think the pictures do a good job of portraying just how slick the profile is on this vehicle.
Most definitely, I've seen a couple base versions and they look really good. That being said I do see a lot of newer chords on the road chords on the road and the design is growing on me, however the Camry is way better looking, plus finally you can get the panoramic roof❤❤
I bought the Camry XLE ON JULY 2nd in reservoir which shows everything. No heavy metal color Camrys in my state. Solid car but the headliner is tearing apart up top but underneath the panoramic roof. I’ve just hit 40mpg’s with 315 miles on it.
Actually really digging this design! It’s a long car and always has been but I feel like the contoured redesign makes it feel like less car - the Accord just seems so long and straight. Such a good review guys!!
People talk crap about the cvt in the altima but my brother my family has more than 1 car and you get the altima for less and if the cvt busts a couple times whatever bro its smaller cheaper than a traditional 6 or 8 speed. I get why they did it. I know people they make a lot of money and hate cars so they get an altima as a beater for a few years they sell it and buy something else. I think its a jome ti say cvt sucks but yiu have a hybrid bro acting like ecvt is better when its a battery electric motor system. Thats actually not all that more reliable bro. Youll hate that battery one day if you own it long term or someone will and they get good and fast at swapping cvt i bet you just the simple 4 banger cvt you might go through cvts over the course of 300k miles bro but batteries suck bro. When the car is 15 and your battery kicks the bucket itll cost a lot to replace compared to another cvt and itll be some highschooler drivin it. I agree the cvt is structurally inferior but it also costs less and really it gets the same job done bro compared to when a tradition 6 speed 8 speed or ford f150 10 speed breaks youll look at how cheap the nissan altima jatco cvt is to replace in comparison and even if you need another every 50k worst case scinario its not as bad. I had a ram 1500 from 2001 v8 MAGNUM BROTHERRRR but the transmission cost over 3k to replace and that was back in like 2014 2015 about ten years ago. If the cvt is as unreliable if it only cost 1000 to do the job its way savings bro in terms of commuting as even the crap cvt will go across country faster than every tesla
This car is really good but in all honesty I love the video and channel even more which speaks volumes because my favourite car manufacturer is Toyota/Lexus. Great work guys😊
@@sherrikwhiteside6107 cuz I had a 2019 Toyota Camry xse . That car had more problems. My panoramic roof stop working at 30k miles and also fuel tank problems. Toyota had to change my fuel tank.
Yeah im 100% definetly getting this car. the mpg is awesome. looks amazing, great interior. it checks all the boxes. Toyota quality and reliability baby. Toyota has never failed me. had 4
An advice for all car reviewing channels: please ask the car maker to lend you a car with light colored interiors (white, tan, brown..etc) as the black interior make the car feels dull and boring, and yes it’s also feels claustrophobic.
Put some respect on the Toyota and the Camry name. It’s about legacy, it’s a marathon not a sprint. Them boys been knocking it out the park for decades.
Both of us have businesses outside of Acceler8 that have been really busy this year! But we've got lots of content to post now. So things should be more consistent.
The pricing on these cars is ridiculous! Dealer in my area has le's for 32k to 36k, xle's 35 to 41.5k, xse's for 40 to 49k depending on how many ad ons the dealer installed. 1000$ a month for the 49k xse with 5k down. I would rather buy a slightly used german sedan thats actually fun to drive for that price. Not to mention all dealers everywhere are low balling trade ins now that the used car market has cooled down. They even had a se listed for 39k. 😂
@Dsw8691 I got the 2021 Rav4 XLE premium for $34k right at the end of 2020 which was a steal. Houses in the cities were $180s - 250s. I kinda regret not getting the $185k house as it's $320k now.
Not simply a cvt it’s an ecvt and is better cmon guys get it right! 👌 😂 There is a difference and it’s profoundly misleading when overlooked. Fantastic video that being said, thanks for sharing! 🙏
I feel like it's not worth the upgrade from last generation unless you want better gas mileage or really hated the interior. (Coming from a 2020 camry owner). Team camry until honda redesigns that unfinished exterior.
Definitely agree, something about the screen and dash design makes the whole front area look so bulky and busy. It’s good that the AC controls are still buttons but functionally, having a mix of knobs and buttons is way better. This design is just a row of buttons jammed together to save space.
Full Size Spare? Are you sure about that? I thought it was a temporary spare. But hey at least there is one. Accord Hybrid does not have one. Same goes for most Hyundai Sonata trim levels.
Ya idk where that number is coming from good luck, my fully loaded awd premium plus package with upgraded wind chill pearl and every option you can imagine is $42,900 before TTL. Maybe for a plain jane le which doesn’t exist after dealer packages and accessories/markups. Call it like it is these ain’t cheap nothing is right now. Let’s not even talk about interest rates, house lending, gas/food prices etc. Biden’s economy is pure hell. Say it like it is we all know it, at least here in America. 🇺🇸 🙏
I would they would have redesigned the side profile and the lights. They squeezed new gen stuff on the old gen Camry, it looks like a minor update more than a total redesign
I would pick the new accord hybrid over this Camry hybrid every time.....the Accord hybrid uses the electric motor much more efficiently now than the Camry and works more like an electric vehicle over this ancient hybrid system that Toyota has been using for years. And the Accord rides way more premium over the Camry.
That 10:55 scene was hilarious, IDK if he said that wantedly or was just too excited of gas use that just keep spamming and attacted it with speakers 😂😂😂💀💀 Thumbs up ACCELR8 😂😂
Accord all day. This isn’t bad either but the Accord you can tell is made by people who appreciate good engineering. The aftermarket loves the aAccord too. Camry can’t compete there tbh
last gen there was some aftermarket for the Camry (obviously not even close to the amount of the accord)but idk how there'll be anything for this model.
@@djplonghead5403 I have a 2025 SE, no pano sunroof, only the moonroof, and no sunglasses holder. From what I can tell based on my owner's guide, they remove the sunglasses holder from all the 2025s that have either the sun or moonroof options.
I can GUARANTEE that there is *no* “CHILL” that f*cks. Absolutely none. 😅 I wish there was. I’d pay pretty good money to see a “chill” fuck. A LOT of money, actually. Dude, you just made my day! Thank you. 🙏
My Toyota dealrship has no inventory, and optioning out a Camry to top level is ridculously expense. I'm more interested in the Civic Hybrid Sport Touring. I am a bit sad that you can't get a Civic with all wheel drive, but with these kind of cars, it's not a deal breaker. Toyota is kind of in a scary place, for me. I am a Subaru owner, and Subaru has nothing within reason that fits what I'd like from them, also. I don't think it's a good era for any car manufacturers, currently.
I am too a Subaru owner. We love our Ascent and will be sticking with it. But, the Camry is a definitely in stock at our local dealer. In fact, there’s several to choose from and they are arriving daily. It’s pretty easy to get one at invoice pricing now. Hopefully you didn’t get the Civic. It’s noisy and cheap compared to the Camry. So much road noise and engine noise.
You haven't had the best selling car on in 9 generations? Well I guess it's better late than never. Y'all did appear to have put in 9 generations of energy into this video.
Ewww the front grill is so ugly 🤢🤮 And why does it look sporty? Why can't Toyota make a classy look like Mercedes Benz S Class on the Camry??? The accord is longer and wider, much more spacious.
