I don’t care about cross-play. I just want to transfer my PS account to PC! Please make this happen.

If im able to switch my account to pc that would be amazing. Im not psychotic enough to run 2 different accounts.

7:35 Just do it. I would rather the economy of all three (PC, XBOX, PS) get completely nuked if it meant the game wasn’t locked to whatever machine you decided to play on.

I would def come back if cross play could happen. A few of my friends switch to Xbox and it would be nice to play with them again.

Cyrodil is so similar to the tri nation war that Camelot unchained wanted to be. One of the reasons is lot of the Camelot staff and designers left to work for ESO.

Crossplay needs to happen especially to help pvp with their being a good few populated campaigns to choose from instead of 1 or 2. Add ons are a concern though

If eso 2 had cross play, open "classes" where you can spec any tree into your character, and sandbox pvp in open world where groups can build their own cities. Basically similar to SWG pre combat upgrade.

So if you have a console eso and a pc one with cross play would that merge them?

Addon support for console would need to happen for crossplay to work. It's not a matter if they can do it, Bethesda already has a framework with console mod support in Skyrim and Fallout 4.

So many other games have implemented cross save and cross progression that I just don't see how it can be that much of a burden on this one, unless it's just a worry about financial losses from consolidated accounts. Even then, there are solutions. DLC normally can't be shared across platforms, but in game purchases can (to my understanding at least). Major DLC's already cost cash and won't be transferrable across platforms until they're sold for silver.

There should be console only crossplay. Ps5 & Xbox na together makes the most sense

As a console player I would love to be able to get into cross play battlegrounds even if they had add ons. Or que into things like dungeons or other stuff of that nature

Have a CP 1700 account on PSN, thanks to gatekeeping the endgame trials and such I left Have a CP 1200 account on XBox now, rebuilt from scratch in a year, no gatekeeping there. Just cleared a DB! However, I would love to be able to buy eso character transfers. I could pull my old DK and Warden off of PSN to my xbox account, and I wouldn't have to worry building new characters from complete scratch, again. 145 Skill Points for a DK tank is A LOT of skill points to grind. For characters, I'd pay $100 per toon. For full accounts, I'd, at one point, have paid like up to $250-300 per account. Then again, I'd have to do it twice, for me and my wife. Also, we're kinda ESO nerds and are a bit crazy with it, lol.

Of course they’re going to make almost 2B. That’s not even remotely surprising. They cut up their content into smaller chunks to sell individually, each with their own preorder and deluxe editions, legitimately over 90% of the game’s cosmetics are in the 🤡store with FOMO loot box mechanics, and they’re more than happy to provide paid convenience items. ZOS has monetized the shit out of ESO to squeeze its players for every dollar they can.

I’m sure they’ll do crossplay at some point. I’m not sure though since PC has access to so many addons. Idk. I’m on PC but use to be on console along time ago.

I'd like to be able to share things from my main US account to my European account like houses I've bought. I'd also like to be able to mail from one to the other so even if the houses can't be shared, I can make furniture for the ones I unlock. I don't know how I'd feel about eso2 if it was created, I've sunk a lot of time and money into the current game. Before I started playing eso I played Neverwinter for about 3 and a half years and sunk a bunch of money into that and leaving that was a tough decision albeit the right one. I tried it again early last year, its crap!

$20 bucks equivalent for a transfer should be the max.

To answer your question of "how much would you pay for a account transfer?" I've got more time and money on my steam account than my xbox account. I do have some things on xbox that I don't on steam , like houses and maybe achievements. But overall I've got more on steam than xbox. I wouldn't replace my steam for xbox account but if I would "combine" I would pay as high as $40. Realistically speaking that's alot of work for zos to do so it'd better be worth it right?

Dungeon finder would go so much smoother if there was cross play.

What's not being said about account transfer is that Microsoft and Sony not wanting to lose revenue share from ppl hopping to steam.

Would be cool if they were to overhaul crag trials instead of releasing new trial at some point

honestly cross play would be amazing, i always enjoy playing games like destiny 2 for example on either my PC or ps4 for versatility depending on where i am etc

The amount of money they would make from the sheer number of people that would pick the game back up and spend some money on mtx after an account transfer is what makes the transfers worth implementing. How they don’t understand that is insane.

Well i have the game and "maxed" out accounts for xbox and PS. Started on PS, but couldent get the PS5, so switched to Xbox series X, and started over. Do i get free caracters space on one of the accounts so i can combine them? They cant do it, without having to refund somthing. Alot of laws in place here. So it will be a mess!

I'd be down for a full engine refresh... Especially if they drop ps4/xbox one support...

Being as ESO was my 1st MMO, I thought it was fairly easy to understand and get into. I really only wanted to explore the world and didn't care about much else. Technically I started with Beta, but I wasn't really into the "you have to be in a group" thing to do most of the content then.. you know MMO stuff... lol So I ended up logging in only when friends were on. I restarted playing after One Tamriel and have been playing ESO ever since. I have tried a few other MMO's when they are free, but I refuse to pay for something I may or may not decide to do long term and none of them struck my fancy. I've been in the same Guild since Beta.. original Guild Master left, but turned the whole thing over to our present Guild Leaders. They make the guild fun. Do people leave? Well sure, some no longer play ESO, some didn't like the "if you create drama we will boot you" policy Would I play an ESO 2? Why? If it's the same exact stuff, just better graphics.. content as in quests DLC's etc.. NO. Transfers.. One of the things I could see being a huge issue.. same names. Who has to change? Not just player names, but sign on names. I could use neither of my PC account names if I Transfered. How do I know? Because during a Free to Play I started an account and tried to use both. But that is easily solved. But other issues aren't quite as easy to figure out. PC transfer to Console, I can see being an issue.. I use addons, therefore my saves have those addons in them, console has no addons, maybe they could figure out how to scrub that clean. I saw where people mentioned PTS with transfers.. PC to PC transfer of data. Not Console to PC or PC to Console. I would think that would take a person to transfer data from one server to another... and Lord only knows Sony is pretty Anal when it comes to there systems and moving stuff from PS to PC might be an issue with them.

I don't play on console anymore because I have a fancy new PC, I'd easily drop 100$ to have my PSN account on PC. I logged into my old account from 2014... still (Vet15) CP150 with 4 templars.... uninstalled...... I'm not prepared to start over after dumping close to 8 years into console ESO

They *could* built the tools to mostly-automate the processes to do x-server/platform transfers, but the reality of permitting that will likely destroy console economies. Even if they make it expensive, I think the gold/crown sellers on PC have shown that they're willing to throw that kind of virtual currency around with the escalation of guild traders. JMHO, but for x-server to work they would need to make OneTamriel truly one server for all branches - PC/console/NA/EU..."and in the darkness, bind them"?

Answering questions. No I would not pay to move, I still have friends on console who play I would rather keep playing on multiple places casually than commit to one seriously UNLESS we did get crossplay with account merge & guild merge ( I noticed how he mentioned guilds being on multiple platforms so those things are being taken into account). As for an ESO 2, it would have to be in a different era with a new story. I've played this story, multiple times in some cases so it would take something new for me to try it.

Crossplay between consoles should be around for any game on both platforms...

crossplay is possible, in terms of economy balance, if they added a currency adjustment for pc/console zone instances. when you opt in for a crossplay zone, your gold value is adjusted. then when you go back to your platform zones, your gold is back to normal. so a console player can tp into a pc instance and their gold is worth more. pc players tp into console instance and their gold is worth less. in terms of addons, they would be disabled for pc players when inside a console instance. if grouping between pc and console in pve, then it depends on whose the group leader on which instance it favors. for battlegrounds, crossplay could be disabled as an option, otherwise all platforms can be matched together. for pvp like cyro or ic, it would be platform instance based. PC/Crossplay or Console Only lobbies. so essentially, crossplay would mean different instances with their own set of rules, similar to pvp campaigns.

Idk the past few Days ive been getting placed in a Server Que on Console... this literally never happens the game is Booming ATM on Xbox.

Cross play between pc and console will kill ESO on console. I really hope they don’t do that. Console to console would be great though.

TBH, at this point I don't want an account transfer, because i've been on PC for 2 years now, and i'm already 3600CP, I caught up to my PlayStation account already, however what I would pay for is an account merger... I want all the collectables I had back, such as houses, event collections, crown store items, and more. I'd pay 10-20k crowns for that... I would love to have cross play as well, queues would be so much better in PVP and PVE.

So many tech genius in the chat know exactly how ESO server function, to the point they know cross play is 100% possible with tons of money invested to it.

I think in game economies in a game that has free market any way is a weak reason not to implement cross play. The markets would just adjust, that's how supply and demand works. Prices would for sure change depending on platform, but I don't see why devs should worry about that at all. The community will sort that out themselves. As it stands, the in game economies already fluctuate all the time.

I know it wasn’t exactly the question but if cross play was introduced I would’ve payed about $50 to have my character info copied to PC so I could play on either. I wouldn’t want to just transfer and force myself into playing on PC. But also if cross play comes around they’re going to have to start banning combat add ons or just adding the most popular add ons into the base game UI

If they do this they DAMN well better be able to just transfer over all my crown purchases and mats from PS to PC. Already spent 3 years on characters. Don't need them. Just need all that stuff i spent money on.

i sometimes pretend to be an npc and randomly ask people for something i need help with or an item that i might need. if they help me i pay them generously

I would love it if we could transfer NA characters to EU, for those of us who has to move to Europe..

the only way i return is if they give us crossplay and are allowed to trafers the saves from whatever console or pc your own to the one you want to go to.

i grinded eso and have played for over 7 years why the bleeb would i want an eso 2 to regrind everything over lol hell NO we already have a decent amount of the zones i want to see tamriel filled before anything. eso 2 is a hard NO. ps account transfers seems less complicated since its a casa by case bases versus a complete crossplay. Acount transfer please i want to take everything over to pc where i can have mods

Warframe took forever but they did it.

Lost Ark recently merged servers and forced players to so some sacrifices to make it possible. It's alright. A few grumbles at the beginning because some players were forced to change their character names and it took a couple of months for the economies to merge and balance out, but now it's really good and everyone is happy. ESO can so easily merge his console palyerbase first: PS, then XBox, then with PC. Incrementally.

If they do crossplay that will literally make a class system where console players are legitimate pesants with zero buying power. As a pc player i dont care but people really, really need to be careful what they wish for. Cross progress is the only feasible way to do it, you can never have the economies merge.

Please drop support for the ancient stone age consoles...

ESO2 would he a terrible idea. Look back at Everquest and Everquest 2. Instead of improving EQ, Sony took over from varant and basically pushed EQ2, it split the player base and both games ended up a flop quite quickly. Once WOW emerged. It crushed EQ. They had a good game already there, they just needed to invest in what they had. ESO would be no different.

Almost two billion and i still cant stack maps, dye my own hair and head accessories. :(

NEVER want crossplay. I am happy to play on console without all the BS that infest the PC-version. It would be a disaster.

They should make all the console servers cross play and have cyrodiil servers say EU or NA and have the ability to change your server instance location if you are doing trials

Ok I have a question. If only 25%of the eso community plays pvp why did it that they seem to focus so heavily on it when the majority according to the devs is pve? Would you not think that the pve community would be given more focus since they are claiming that’s the majority? I mean obviously you want to provide a good balance for everyone but it seems like their primary topic of conversation is mainly pvp and I’m just confused by that.

I would only play eso two if it was the whole eso universe, and you could transfer your existing account over

you know damn well that most MMOs don't make nearly as much as ESO ESO is one of the most heavily monetized mainstream MMOs out there. the loot boxes alone probably make up at least 50% of their revenue if not more

i just want tchat vocal in game, like on xbox, when i was on xbox, it was too funny, i have some clip very funny 🤣 but since i'm on pc, the game itself is way better.... but now it's sad without... 😢

one reason why i feel that cross save/crossplay wont happen is because of the in game economy. imagine having 100 dreugh wax and bringing that over from console to pc. insta rich

TES 6 needs to come out first and pave they way for an ESO 2. It'll be many years away still

Just to touch on the economy issue, yes console would lose buying power but also the market would be flooded with double the amount of goods bringing the prices down a good portion. It wouldn’t be perfect but it would level the playing field slightly.

If cross play comes I legit have no reason to have a Xbox now if they allow cross play just 1 transfer would be awesome so I’m no longer held hostage on the trash box

Retention rate is bad for games in general, not sure how bad it is in ESO specifically compared to other MMOs

I was trying to explain to my 10 year old son that ESO require a person to #1. Buy the game, #2. Buy Expansions, #3: Buy DLC that is only sold in store and #4: Buy a Subscription. They periodically release expansions that are full price to AAA titles, and simply recycle game assets like with scribing. They have the fan base so addicted and simpified that people fall all over themselves for the ability to PAY for the ability to color skills that are already in the game, and to spend hours grinding pieces of skills that are already in the game to do things that are already in the game to create another 1000 character combinations, when less than 20 end up being viable. And if something like trading actually works in the players favor to have fun and pay for dlc they re-roll loot tables to kill the fun, or nerf classes that were OP to get people to buy the new stuff and forget the old stuff...the 2 billion just shows it is such a successful scam. I will never play the game again but I will be here to remind you that they could release all content for free from here on out and just rely on store purchases and using that 2 billion keep every person involved with this game fully compensated...your hard earned dollars aren't going to the devs they are going to Blizzard and Microsoft executives who do nothing for ESO but pressure the devs to make more exploitative content.

Disregarding everything else, but what if the "cost" of cross-play was that PC was no longer able to use add ons? Imagine the uproar xD

my only real concern for crossplay is that since pc has so much more gold in circulation, console trading guilds will most likely lose the spots they may have had for years. If I spent years building up a trading guild just to lose it all because of crossplay I would quit the game.

Only crossplay I'd see working is to have one-way ability for console players to PC servers and have separate progress there, while console servers being still separate. PC should never be able to log to console servers and having both consoles and PC on one big server will just be unfair disparity.

i really want cross play bc i have a lot of console freinds that play this game and i don't want to pay for ps plus or buy a console to do it

They aren't magicians, the new gen of console was released and now they have more breathing room... He was referencing 2013 consoles (ps4 xbox one) and they shouldn't be supporting them any longer after Gold Road imo...

Im sorry but since FFXIV, FFXI, and OSRS were able to do crossplay then I see no excuse as to why ESO can’t do it aside from a combination of greed and laziness on behalf of everyone involved. It does nothing but hurt the game and it stunts the growth of the playerbase massively. ESO should easily be competing with FFXIV, OSRS, and WoW numbers but Zenimax just likes being in competition for FOURTH place with GW2. Maybe idk what I’m talking about but when I see it being done by major competitors (including the rumors of WoW making its way to consoles) I don’t buy any of this crap about “It’s too complicated”. Just do it.

Someone who understands how the game works, who can give good advice on sets and class balance and most importantly - who actually plays the game Rather than make useless sets or too op sets and doing questionable class changes and then change it or just leave it as it is

Iff crossplay happens they need to bring addons to console first game would be really unfare if that is not added

I'd prob pay $10-$15 to transfer out to PC, course I have yet to play on the next gen console so that opinion may change.

Pcs dont need crossplay there individual servers are rammed, consoles on the other hand the 4 servers should be chucked together.

They would rather you purchase all your goodies on another platform and make them money. Than letting you cross play with friends or do character transfers. Would it be difficult to transfer data between databases ? Yes. But pfft doubt that’s the reason. Work can go into it and make it happen. But then what do they gain from doing this - happy customers. Not money.
