Pvp is way better because the hate mails are mostly from sore losers and not your teammates. Is very rare for your friends to flame you because most pvp premade groups play at their similar level. Is very rare for a organised decent pvp group to let some noobs in to spoil everyone's fun by dumb shit like purging pb in group or have less than 32k hp and dying to vicious death.

bro I haven't polayed eso in years, randomly watched this video used to love the game. This dude is toxic as hell, and the video pointing out he makes the same mistakes he gives people such a hard time for and just doesn't say shit? Its a totally valid critique I dont really watch NefasQS either, but can't believe hes defending this guy. Dude is a little baby whiner. Anyone who has been a raid leader before or pushing content knows what its like to mess up and just admit "fuck i got hit by X that ones my bad" but for some reason hes mad and raging everytime someone gets hit by a mechanic, but when its him he's suddenly silet, picking on other stuff and doesn't mention it, and NefasQS always has some round about reason to defend him. these kind of gamer infest WoW too and its why i can't play that game with friends of mine who do. Its just fucking miserable. Get a life lmao. I can't agree with this video, this eightpuppies guy seems toxic as hell

So I was part of a guild called Orange Team Go on Xbox N/A. He was the trial lead back then for the guild. He was very dedicated, and I can respect that. I think we had maybe one misunderstanding that we resolved. However the leader of the Guild Jaded was something else. If anyone held the title "Karen" she was it. Basically she'd threaten anyone outside of the circle for removal. If you didn't do what she wanted welp enjoy the boot. Was disappointing to see how OTG turned out after a lot people left. Originally OTG was for everyone of all levels. We had events, fun trial raids etc... But when Elswyer dropped the guild turned toxic very quickly and mainly due to the guildmaster Jaded. As for Eigh1puppies. I remember him giving me tips and advice on how to complete Maelstrom Arena. Back then, VMA was a badge of honor. He made a guide video on his RU-vid channel and by spending few days I was able to achieve VMA completion. I spent the coming weeks grinding for my bow and each time the arena got easier and easier. A lot of friends left that guild sadly. It goes to show when a guild is put in the wrong hands it can lead to its downfall

Going to be honest I'm not a fan of how eight1puppies is acting either. A good raider is patient and respectful of progression. A person who belittles and degrades their team members, shows no respect for the time and commitment that said player may have put in. If a raider exspects perfection every pull then they shouldn't be running in a progression group.

I started playing Eso 5 years ago when I was 14, and I used to act exactly like this. I finally stopped when one of my friends recorded one of our runs and I got to hear how I acted myself. I was so embarrassed, and from that point on, I stopped acting this way. Yeah it was hard, and I still get really frustrated, but I told myself if talked this way again to anyone, I was quitting the game. I wouldn't call what he's doing toxic, he's just acting like a child, but I guess his friends are okay with it. He's a grown man acting like this over a video game. People will defend it, and that's fine, but I'm glad I don't do this anymore because it's not fun for anyone you're playing with.

@VirgilHawkinsIs 2 месяца назад
If you get this frustrated and can't hold your tongue, maybe its time to take a break. Nefas is looking at this as normal but there are more respectful ways to talk to another human being, even if you're frustrated. If you wouldn't speak to your mother like that or if you wouldn't speak like that to someone in person or in a professional setting, you probably shouldn't vent your frustration that way here either. That being said, we all slip up and IDK if this is a common occurrence or not.
@TieWolf

They're both toxic. Either way, I cherry pick my end game homies. I've got no interest in grown adults that lack emotional maturity. If someone is a repeat offender for mechanic and "standing in stupid" type issues, rethink the core roster and talk to them after going through logs and consistencies. That's how emotionally mature adults handle group content. Me lashing out in group content may be a squeak or sigh and then I follow it up with constructive input and a joke to follow. When people are feeling good, they perform well. When folks add tension to a group run, it makes performance drop in most people - thus increasing that frustration and eventual rage quit.

@Nefas do you talk to your girl like that? How come? Do you talk to your group like that when you lead raids?
@Mantamann
@Mantamann 2 месяца назад
I think it's the group's business how they handle things, especially communication. No one needs to watch that, if they feel uncomfortable doing so. That being said, I'll give my two cents anyways. I think puppies tone is questionable. I raid progress and that is not the way the raidlead would ever talk to us or vice versa. His groupmates also don't sound like they're having a blast when he's talking to them like that. I assume the overall atmosphere in the group is good and the people generally like eachother (otherweise they wouldn't be there, I guess) but adressing your mates like puppies did is kinda shitty, regardless.

Even though the clips were casted as "taken out of context", it is still quite evident that that guy was snapping at other people. The first half of the video comes off as Nefas is providing legitimacy for such behavior because he's seen worse in other end-game groups. I should call out that just because it's a norm in his side of the community, it doesn't mean that's not a problem. If anything, it's an indication that the people he hangs around can have much better emotional intelligence. Even if we set aside the matter of being respectful to others in a video game, the means of delivering feedback is pretty important. If the intent is to have others improve, constructive feedback tend to be more effective than insults. On the flip side, rudeness and bickering can distract the group and lead to valuable members to -x due to all that avoidable bad blood being created. Note: To be fair, this guy could really be a saint 99.9% of the time but I've seen this type of behaviour all the time in end-game groups and would not at all be surprised if it is more common.

In my experience if someone was being "hypocritical" (how he's getting pissy about his raid teams mistakes then he proceeds to do the same thing he was just mad about.) they would've gotten checked. I'm not saying anything is inherently wrong with his behavior we all get frustrated from time to time. Hell, I often do the same thing in hard content but in all those situations, I get called out for it.

I hate people who enforce the way they see world on others, specially on a freaking video game, just let people play the game, if you get a toxic fake tank/healer on a vet dungeon just report and move on. Everyone has a fuse its just a matter of how long it is, you ultra casuals are no saints either, your constant attacks on a subset of the game combined with how many of you there is, its one of the reasons we only get a few new dungeons a year and only one trial! If the majority of the population doesnt participate in content then there is no incentive for it to be developed.

For what its worth, maybe two cents, every group I've been in had very calm and professional callouts and feedback even when egregious errors occur. It's a game for fun and I would not tolerate public ridicule or rebuke for a mistake. Its OK to ask if a team member saw or understood a mechanic and how to do correctly, but calmly. It's just a game - even though raids take time and planning. Where I work, errors are handled privately with never a raised voice or undertone and I expect rhe same courtesy from everyone. Having a bad day is never an excuse for unacceptable behavior. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt and first assume good intentions. I also never comment publicly on someone's negative behavior. I bring issues to that person where appropriate wirh a goal of building people and not rearing down. I am far from perfect and I apologize when I err or offend. To that end, I view "being offended" as a choice on how we interpret feedback since what offends one may not offend another. And I am open to criticism in general and on my comments here. Cheers!

My experience with the guy was a few years back on Xbox NA, he was well known in a few groups I was in to be part of a crowd of raiders (a blacklist of individuals depending on who you ask) who have huge egos and often make the runs they are in feel like jobs. Being part of a relatively new team we were encouraged to basically bow our heads to any of these people like that and let them go off since, at least on Xbox, the endgame raiding community was ran like a schoolyard popularity contest. I have firsthand witnessed someone being removed from a raid team because they 'disrespected' a prominent figure in the community by saying something in the public in-game VC. While sure you can cherry pick the worst moments of someone, it's disingenuous to not acknowledge the real problems that people do face when joining up with a raid team, I was fortunate enough to be a support player who was friends with a raid lead so I got on teams, no questions asked, but for someone who is wanting to dip their toes into the endgame for the first time, they will most likely be scared away by the sheer amount of toxicity and egos that plague this game (on Xbox NA) and if they do manage to survive first contact, 8 times out of 10 they begin to emulate the toxic behavior because they see it as normalized. When a late-teens/20-something year old kid is throwing a fit because someone refuses to say 'Yes Leader' whenever they give an order then that's a problem. This kind of behavior is why the endgame community is so small (on Xbox NA) because people having a high-school-era fallout with each other over clashing of egos and then either quit the game or go to PC. I've been a raid lead before and my style of leading ran more on keeping spirits high and keeping people motivated since the moment someone checks out for the night, 11 other people are having their time wasted. I personally wasn't friends with the 10+ people on every team I was on, and I can say from experience, no normal person should be subjected to this kind of verbal abuse, saying "What are you good for?" is so far out of the realm of reasonable, he is lucky that his team puts up with that kind of thing because I know and have seen that outside of those ultra-toxic groups, that kind of language does not fly (at least on Xbox NA) unless your raid lead is a boot-licker who wants to one day join the 'elitist' club, which is fairly common since I have seen raid leads be the ones to have meltdowns if people challenge the authority of the toxic players
@IshimuraaYT

I don’t think people have the ground to comment how a team talks amongst each other until they play at that level themselves. To clip just the negative when that’s not 100% the norm is just stupid and he tries to tell those of us who run in groups like this how to behave? Just…no

If your group doesnt have an issue then fine but if your group is streaming to the public its open to public criticism. This SHOULDN'T be acceptable at any level but if you and your squad are cool with it that is between yall. The important thing is that the ppl involved don't have an issue. In this case, streamers involve the public so they are going to be held to public standards. You wouldn't be allowed to talk like this to someone in person or at work so idk how its justified here.

Theres some people who don’t care as much as eightpuppies they just want to chill and have fun, but are actually really good! All of this to say.. if he’s not communicating what he expects, then it’s his fault to begin with. Tbf, engame pve IS toxic. I quit the game for 4-5 years on and off only for events because of how toxic it got in our group (we were ranking in top 3 at one point on PC EU). Half the guild players quit the game that day including one of our raid leaders who was always trying to solve everything calmly and patiently. To my surprise it seems the game only got more toxic as I dared to queue for daily vet Banished cells and got called a bot by an elitish player for running heavy attack build which is performing more than enough for dungeon one can solo (I queued up for it so the clear is faster). I asked what his problem is what someone is running in an easy dungeon. He repeated that I am fu*king skilless bot and logged off. He didnt even leave the group, on purpose he logged out and his buddy ported out, which made it impossible for me and remaining player to kick them out to get other players to join. So we just went and did it duo without an issue obviously in hardmode, it just took longer than it would with full group which was the whole point queuing up. I brought this issue up in my guild I joined with the intention to run dungeons (tho no one ever joined me when I was asking for people for dailies), that I met this person who was this toxic because someone is running a build that is not of his liking. I got pretty much slammed by multiple people defending his behavior and making bullshit excuses and reasons. One of which was for example - oakensoul is making tank and heal buffing you useless. And? Better for them in a basic dungeon no? Can slot something else and dont have to put much efford into again a BASE GAME DUNGEON. I would understand people dont appriciate heavy attack builds in trials due to it not performing as well as the bis builds etc but this? Why is some random person in queue thinking he has any right to berate me for what build I am running? Its bullshit. This makes me have no desire to go back to that environment if all I am gonna get is being yelled at and criticised for anything and everything. My problem not running engame build is there is no class and magicka/stamina identity whatsoever. Everyone is the same. Using oakensoul lets me keep using staff and being effective enough clearning what I put my mind to. Toxic behaviour wont make anyone, who maybe wants to get into the endgame high level pve, even bother trying. If I got yelled at and ridiculed like 8puppies apparently does often in his stream, I would leave that very second, good luck finding a replacement. That said, the creator of the video is no better than him from the messages we have seen. They are both huge hypocrites. I didnt know there was so much drama in the ESO community online until I started watching Nefas videos tbh because of his coverage of them. Maybe something to think about if its a good idea to bring light to the toxicity.

I'm sorry but, I can't agree with you on this one. I do think that criticism is fine in hard content as people need to know what is going wrong or how they messed up but there's way better ways to convey this. You can of course get frustrated sometimes and tone can come across poorly but if you're not apologizing for it after realizing what you said or taking better measures not to snap...yeah that's toxicity. If someone is screaming at you I think it's natural to scream back but this isn't what is happening here. It's like Gordon Ramsey US version. Not helpful. His UK tv persona is chill and nice and people learn much more quickly on those shows instead of just getting frustrated and quitting.

This is the reality of PvE progression groups for some lol. I get both ends of it, I’ve definitely seen some toxic shit in my time playing ESO. I can agree they’d want someone positive on stream team but they only put the bad parts. What bro says so openly to his team is definitely what most say behind a muted mic in a progression, it’s rough when you see people dying constantly to mechanics you’ve been over time and time again especially in a Trifecta group. Something as simple as a bash or just simply paying attention. At the same time, nobody is perfect including himself. You can call him an elitist but he’s just being a direct and transparent lead who uses colorful words sometimes you can’t sugar coat shit and it can definitely come across as aggressive. Not all people like it but most come to respect it especially in endgame. I can’t believe someone really spent the time to make a video like that tbh 😂

That Digby person is actually a mess. They do literally nothing in the game except bash other players on Reddit and post outrage videos. They're not even worth giving a moment of anyone's time to. If endgame ESO has a problem it's endgamers not really considering that there are new players or who just haven't done endgame trial content. Not every ESO player started playing at launch or beta. Whether calling it elitism or gatekeeping what results is a sort of stagnant pool at the top of the heap. I haven't been trial focused in a little while and things might have improved now since it's easier to hit higher dps numbers. I've always been super patient with groups and explaining content, especially if it's harder. The only exception is if the group is being sandbagged or I don't have the time and have to log off.

This particular complaint is a long-running team that has run through every single trifecta in the game. A new player with little or no experience would have zero reason to be in a group like this.

@@lisamarie4709 My comment wasn't necessarily toward this specific scenario, but endgame pve in general. To your point there is a lot of space between brand new never having done a trial and someone trying to get into progs and trifectas. Not long ago (prior to oakensoul and accessibility changes) it was difficult to run content like that. PUGs were sometimes more reliable than guild groups for gear grinding etc. At one point I just started winging it with pug groups for trials because guilds were unreliable.

Tbh, eigh1puppies does come off abrasive and gets heated over little things, but i think that's just his personality, and the people he's running with should be well aware. In the end, it's not like this behavior is going on outside of his raid team. At least, I dont think i've ever witnessed or seen eigh1puppies get this way with randoms or zone chat, etc. So, if you dont like his style, you dont have to be on his team, plain and simple. I see no point in directly calling him out and making a video labeling him as toxic for how he chooses to conduct HIS raid teams. If it bothers you, dont watch his streams and dont join his team. His teams hold a number of records, even without the help of Addons, so he's obviously doing something right.

Speaking as someone on Pups teams, he's one of our best friends and I said this on Admiral's video, he's our friend... he is our lead and has taught us so much. @wynngwynn I've raided with Pups for over a year.... this is cherry picked 100%. Admiral clipped 10 mins of clips out of how many hours Pups streams? He failed to include all the positive moments too and there is plenty trust me. If it's not for you, sure.... I get that but to call him abusive crosses a line. I'm a victim of abuse and a DA/ SA survivor.... so to hear someone say "Pups abuses" I take that as diminishing what I've actually gone through... Pups does not fit the criteria for an abuser by any means... that man is one of my best friends of all time and I'll say that until I'm blue in the face. He's an amazing teacher, raid lead, and even better friend and has been by me through some dark crap and never once left my side through it. To attack his character is to attack each of us.

I refuse to watch people who degrade or continuously berate their team members. It is possible to constructively criticize without being toxic or nasty. How do I, as an outside viewer, know that it's 'just the way a group of friends' are interacting and they don't mind? I don't, so it just looks toxic. It's one thing to curse up a blue streak when the team wipes, due to whatever. It's another thing to toxically berate someone on live stream. I play to chill and relax from dealing with toxic people IRL, I don't need it ingame.. period. I've left Trials and Dungeons due to toxic players. I got asked to Heal vRG.. because their normal Healer was unavailable, but they still wanted to do a practice run or two. I said ok, BUT warned them I had not even run it normal yet. I didn't even finish the 1st run through, I whispered the person I knew and told them I don't do toxic BS, I needed direction and help, not Shite on... and I ported out. If I wanted Toxic, I'd go play COD multiplayer... or BDO

Obviously it's a person's own perogative to watch or not watch. But tanking for him and being his friend, I do feel able to say the persona on live versus offline is different. Which is what myself and his other teammates tried to convey. Instead of accepting what we are saying as personal truths, it almost seemed to make admiral more feral in his attempts to insist that we were wrong. Interactions with people are individual. While twitch only sees each 2hr raid we see him in a more well-rounded light. The good and the toxic if you will... I find it a little bleak when his friends step forward to clear the air and provide supporting proof, we are disregarded. Pups has done a lot for the community to help build up newer players. He took me from a trifectaless tank to popping two trifectas within a week of each other while raiding for him. And he has never once spoken down to me because I specifically told him I am a sensitive tit baby and will cry. I mean I was a freaking housing main trying to get mindmender. Pups respected that, as for our other teammates they don't generally mind. His other friends constantly banter with him. This guy admiral constantly has a chip on his shoulder about end game metas and trials and has consistently shown he attacks people verbally, in messages, and so on. Pup's only has a heavy hand in raid. He has never spoken ill on me in texts, voice, or to others. He's log reviews, build guides, and all of that (which is the info for the public) is heavily researched, tested and proven. It gets frustrating to watch people either yell from the shadows of reddit or make bunk yt videos all while refusing to look at the whole person. Especially because of the title. A casestudy shouldn't look at one piece of data but the whole. Admiral complaining about toxicity but having consistent complaints on the ps4 server of his own toxicity should be a hilarious irony to people. But it won't be because Pups is sometimes crass to his team. Tl;DR: Yes, Pups is toxic to his teams that know him, but he isn't if you ask him not to. He also is a wealth of knowledge that is heavily researched. Admiral is toxic... without the research and makes unfounded slanderous remarks. Watch Pups if you like funny loud yelling humor. Or don't. But stop yucking people's yum.

But we have known each other for 10+ years and we know its just frustration. Much like when siblings fight. Ive also had to break it up and had people take a minute to compose themselves. Until your endgame doing hard mode trifecta runs you probably dont understand the frustration when you see a team mate not perform at the level you know theyre capable of. Id say he probably just shouldnt stream it if he cant control his toxicity. Because from the outside looking in it looks bad. Also for the limited interactions ive had with digby theyve been mostly positive. Definitely gonna send some nudes to hyper though for that hot carry. 😂
