Hi Alice, I would be so appreciative if you could give me some advice. I'm almost 28 years old living with my parents. My top goals right now are to save for my first home purchase and to maximize my retirement accounts. I want to buy a house within the next 2 years. After all my bills and strict cash envelopes for monthly expenses, I have about $1,300 - $1,400 I can put towards savings/investing between my employee Roth 401k, my personal Roth IRA, and savings for a home. I'm not sure wether to put more into my Roth accounts because I'll be able to withdraw penalty free for the purpose of purchasing my first home, or if I should put the majority into a savings account to have the liquid funds. How would you split that money?

How can i get money

I don't think people should pay themselves 1st. I think you should take care of your 5 walls first, shelter, food, utilities, transportation and childcare before saving money.

I must be Chinese, because I hate owing anyone money
