@sandrablackglobalelitetake1353
I was born and raised in Marion, Indiana, fully American by birthright, but African by soulright. I moved to Africa in 2003, Ghana to be exact. I can't believe that black people would choose this STRUGGLE in America just for a few comforts like somebody ELSE having a toilet. Living there, I always had a comfortable toilet and living quarters (home). I lived in a mansion for six months of my stay (in heaven) and then spent the regular African life in Korte Bobi. I lived their a total of five years. I can't wait to hear from you in five years. You just can't come back here to the treatment and life of second class citizens and not remember how peaceful and accepting Africa is to the soul. You're never conditioned to have to shelter your child from the racist hate here. I wonder how come you will shelter yourself from all the racism here in the USA by preference, but not seek out how to live and avoid the places without toilet or bad traffic? I do wish you all the best on life's journey, but mark my words you're going to find that the comfort of a place where people treat you as not worthy of being human is not comfort but selling your very souls. All the best.🤔

Sandra Black, GLOBAL ELITE TAKEDOWN, A NEW PARADIGM= Thank you SIS....You're absolutely right/correct ... "I totally agree with you". But some of us don't know how to get it in a positive way and we miss to see the most important things in life. Perspectives differ from people to people. This is because every person is born in different circumstances and brought up in different way. As and when they grow up with society, based on their experiences and beliefs, perspectives will change. Peace to you!!!

@Sandra black from when you hear them continously say they're going to Africa instead of saying Ghana tells you of their disconnect. Your in a different country period. Would you go to Brazil and say how do you feel to be in the Americas. They need to get it together bro. Nonetheless one believe a seed has been sown in those children and the family once they settle down back home and reflect on the good things about Ghana and rest of the continent.

The Family O RU-vid husband gave 😒 when Ghanaian uber driver said he prefers Ghana's Jollof Rice! Funny! You had the Jollof Rice balls imitation at a European owned business so expect blended! I've never tried the Jollof Rice from either country but I hear that the Ghana Jollof Rice is the best. You have to go to Accra or Kumasi in order to get the authentic foods! The street foods I hear are the best.

You are so right about simple things like public bathrooms, pavements to historical sights or just maintaining historical infrastructure or improving tourist attractions which the Ghanaian government just simply have no common sense to improve to attract more tourist. Ghanaian leaders talk a lot with no action to back it up. In my book they are all useless. But if you think Ghana did not fulfill your expectation then I am assuming that you thought you were going to another western country. In my opinion Ghana is far better than a lot of African countries. You could have easily used restaurant bathrooms instead of trying to get into a public one. You did not spread yourself to other places of Ghana to get a better experience but rather hanged around the most populated areas of Accra and expected to get the Ghana experience you were craving for. You are trying to judge a third world country on a 1st world standard, as a blackman you should have known better and considered that. Have ever visited India? You would appreciate Ghana more, despite their technological know how. I am from the west and have visited both Ghana and India, I will go back to Ghana again and again.
@Passingclouds497
@Passingclouds497 4 года назад
Yes, their expectations seemed to be to westernized. But I will take that restaurant bathroom idea in consideration. Also,they didn't want to eat Ghanaian authentic food. I am sure they would have found some places if they asked where most tourist go. They didn't seem to have had a good time. Maybe they need to be in better physical shape also.

Hello Nicole, just now seeing your comment. we are guessing you did not watch the entire video because we ate several dishes from Ghana. Including Jollof rice,plantain and some other local entrées such as pallava sauce. It’s important before making a comment out of ignorance that you watch the entire film. You would know also if you paid attention during the film that we were transitioning towards veganism so a lot of the food in west Africa if you have ever been to Africa you would know contains meat or meat byproducts so that severely limited our options. Our expectations are based on the fact that we travel all over the world not due to a westernized bias as one of us actually grew up in the continent for a period and our concerns was not a critique on the locals but more so the government having the resources to do better for our people and in some cases mismanaging it. We would not have spent several thousand dollars traveling to this country filming our experience and putting together the movie that you are commenting on which we said several times over that we enjoyed our experience overall if we were simply looking to bash the country. We are Nigerian so we have spent more time collectively in this continent than most people. If you ever plan on visiting the continent or if you are of African descent hopefully we can assist in clearing up some of your assumptions. But again please watch the video and it’s entirety before forming an opinion on our character. Thanks for watching!

Thank you for your response, I greatly appreciate it, I hope next time when you visit any African country, you should show more of the rich Areas, and of course the poor areas too. We all knows Africa is poor, however the perception of how poor the continent is very exaggerated in the West. Showing Africa Cities in context could make people realize that with money you can live comfortably, just like anywhere else in the world.

I thing it's a positive and beautiful thing for Black Americans, Englishman and Europeans to move to Africa. However, when you go there don't take your attitudes and prescription of Africa drilled into you by the white man over the many years, go with an open mind and a willingness to immerse yourself in the Country and it Culture, go with a willingness to share your knowledge and experience and learn from the people. As China will always be the motherland for Chinese, Africa will always be the motherland for you. Stop thinking about what your forefathers built in America, stand on their shoulders and build something in Africa for your Generations to come. A Chinese will always be a Chinese and you will always be an Africa no matter where you live until the day you die. Enjoy and immerse yourself in Africa.

@@MI-vn4tp The people n the USA must first re-educate themselves, there is no such thing as African-American, Asian-Americans etc. The people in the USA have calmed the title of Americans. America is made up of North America, Central America & South. Therefore, the people from Canada, USA, Mexico, Panama, Colombia down to Argentina are classified as Americans. My comments before is suggesting that the Black people who now call the USA or any country their home should start considering moving to Africa to help build Africa into a Global market, but if you move there, do it with an open mind and don't carry the superior attitude, immerse yourself in the culture, use you experience and knowledge to build your homeland and be proud to be an African.

Good job guys but there was more you could have done to make your stay in Ghana more pleasant. About the restrooms you could have walked into any restaurant or food joints to use the restrooms. Those places you went to and had to pay money to use the restrooms are made specifically for the locals. Trust me you should have done more research before and to tell you the truth Ghana is one of the best places you can live or visit on the motherland.

Please if you're coming to Ghana, you can't impose your ideas upon the natives. The religion they want, is their choice. Don't ever think you're to Ghana to teach the people what's right. Keep your religion to yourself and don't condemn. Remember the natives developed their country. You didn't contribute anything.

I would advise people that’s hoping to visit Ghana to find videos with more open minded and positive people. Read some of the comments left for this video. I thought at first it was me but I see from the comments lots of people see through them. After 52 minutes I couldn’t continue to allow their negative spirits into my psyche. I think they’re disrespectful.
@TheFamilyONetwork
@TheFamilyONetwork 5 лет назад
Just seeing this comment. First of all thank you for watching, we strongly suggest you watch the entire film before forming an opinion on a couple you’ve never met. If you still feel how you feel that’s ok, based on the number of people that “thumbs upped” this video most people enjoyed it. At 52 minutes we were talking about how wonderful the Kwame Nkrumah museum was so we are confused about how our film was “disrespectful” or “negative”. We’re not sure if you’ve ever visited Africa but we are from the continent so we shared what we felt was a holistic experience as a family traveling alone not as a single person on a mission to “find themselves” or a group of people traveling with a paid tour guide so calling us “entitled Americans” is a bit interesting. your experience might be different from ours or it might be the same. We took the time to share an honest experience which we stated overall was positive. Most videos on Ghana don’t give a realistic overview in our opinion. We spoke on the good aspects and even promoted several business owners while there and suggested people check them out when in Ghana, as well as shared the areas we hope improve in the country, that’s called being “objective”. We also spent our own money to provide the type of video on Africa that shows the potential. Lastly, we took the time to create an amazing music soundtrack you could hear throughout the film and shot it like a movie so people would be excited about visiting the motherland, but with clear expectations that it’s not going to be all “roses and sunshine”. We don’t expect everyone to agree with our views but we hope you form an opinion based on more than 52 minutes of an edited movie and please find us on Instagram at @the_family_o because if you really took the time to get to know us we think you would feel different. God bless!

The Family O RU-vid In fairness I continued watching this family and they were still complaining. I could tell they seemed frustrated and didn’t enjoy anything. They just whine. Following the stories of Black Americans going to Ghana, I observed two things , 1. It seems to me tha,t many Americans has not gotten the chance to ever travel out of The States.2. I agree that there are many Africans that has no idea of those large buildings, typically of the medieval period, fortified against attack with thick walls, battlements, towers, and in many cases the slave trade moved many our strong ancestors to the States,History.

I watch a lot of RU-vid videos but I have never seen one that has so many commercial interruptions. Do you guys have that same experience? it's very disruptive and the types of commercials that they're using are not what I normally see in my feeds. Wondering if there's some bias in there somewhere that we need to sniff out.
