Accused "casual cigarette killer" caught, charging document reveal how BPD caught suspect

We're learning how investigators were finally able to track down the so-called "casual cigarette killer," after a shooting spree across Baltimore. Munir Matin, 36, is accused of murder, stealing a car, then killing someone else hours later.
Police say they arrested Matin Monday on Fallsway at Hillen Street near the Health Care for the Homeless building.

Baltimore born and raised. 9 years ago my husband and I moved out of there. At first my husband hated it, always complained he wanted to go back. 9 years later he says someone could give him a house in Baltimore and he wouldn’t move back. Sadly Terrell (The third shooting victim, second murder) and I had many conversations about getting him to move out here by me. I can’t tell you how many times I told him it literally scared the shit out of me, that he lived out in west Baltimore. And now here we are. Our family has lost someone who we love dearly. Things will never be the same. And this suspect has a record a mile long. I’m furious my baby brother is gone, because they allowed this criminal out on the streets.

This reporter really thinks he did something with "figuring out how they caught the suspect" and all that, and I bet he didn't even bother to try and ask if there was a motive. It was random, the motive was robbery and carjacking in the first shooting, and the third shooting it was robbery, he stole my brothers book bag, after he shot him. The only connection between the three shootings is that they were done by the same person. I’m not sure of the details of the second shooting, the person who survived.

reported a guy pointing a gun at me on 695 back in December . got it on my dash cam and everything. never heard anything back the state tropper handling my case said it would take a while to get the case handled for some reason even though I had evidence.the footage was not the best but you can clearly see its a gunhe pointed at me
