Why get rid of your dog? Why sell your house for a loss? Why drive to a military base to destroy your phone? Why is location data deleted on Karen’s phone in April when Karen no longer had possession of her phone? If the jury deliberate for more than 2 hours I’ll be amazed.
The 2 experts hired by the FBI really made this case. Their expertise was superior to Trooper Paul and they were able to explain what happened to the jury in very relatable terms. Impressive!
No, the utter corruption of trooper Proctor, and the utter incompetence of all of his colleagues made the defenses case. And as a citizen of the US, you should be happy for this because the burden of proof should be on the government. I don’t know why everybody is in here is being so critical of the defense. That she bumped him and he fell and died of hypothermia is entirely possible. That the prosecution went for a MURDER, and tried too hard to explain the arm scratches, doomed the prosecution.
I agree that she’s innocent. Even if she did hit him by accident or not, so many doubts. Lying, getting rid of phones etc. Seems like they’re hiding something.

I agree however, I also had a bit of distaste on Vinnie. Some of his statements seemed very biased towards Karen implying so much of her actions and what she said at the crime scene and her behavior during the voicemails.

The experts that spoke today were available to both the prosecution and the defense. They stated not an mva. Cut and dry that’s why CW didn’t want them.

The fact that CW could've called these last two witnesses for themselves but went with trooper Paul instead says a lot about their corruptions. CW are supposed to seek the truth for our judicial system, the victim, the victim's family, and everyone involved including people of Canton. Lally didn't care. The people responsible for his death sure know, but they ain't talking and never will. If investigations were conducted professionally, it would have had a different outcome. I agree with the expert who talked about how much more serious a person would be injured by a vehicle going at a speed of 24 mph. Bone damage would be much more serious all over the body. Instead of there being deep, bloody punctures and abrasions in one prime area, there would be numerous shallow abrasions, lacerations, scrapes, and road burn widespread on the body, along with patches of redness and black-and-blue marks.
For me the most compelling evidence aside from the disgusting testimony from proctor, was Karen’s phone connecting to John O’Keefe’s wifi network at 12:36am. How was she in front of 34 Fairview at 12:45am? John’s house was a 6 minute drive from the Albert House. (Probably more during a blizzard since you’re driving slower.)

I’m a local. I find it hard to believe that the jurors don’t see any outside influences since signs, protestors, news articles, news in the tv, social media, etc is EVERYWHERE here….
Some things that comes out from this: I hope Karen and the O’Keefes get justice and the answers they deserve. Also, I hope Lucky is safe and doesn’t get harassed after this. I know the Alberts and McCabes are guarded and probably more so now. I just hope he doesn’t get the backlash from all this. And screw Kevin.
It should be a slammed dunk not guilty but if that small town is as corrupt as they have made it seem- I am not so sure that at least one juror has been tainted. I really hope that is not the case!

I’m late to this case but I can say I’ve never seen such a confident defense attorney. He has been mopping the floor with this prosecution. I think he truly believes his client is innocent and the prosecution are pathetic.
Lally even tried to change the theory from hit in the arm to full inpact when he questioned Karens expert, and by changing their case with the arm hit from Trooper Pauls investigation he showed that he know the arm hit wasent reality
I'm convinced that she is not guilty. The injuries to Johns arm, front of his face and back of his head just don't add up to the damage on the vehicle and his final resting place. In addition, the Massachusetts state police are simply not this sloppy. In my opinion, the reason that this investigation was so, so, so bad is because it was being created as it was being investigated. I believe that something happened in the house and panic then took over. I would bet that the plan was to make it look like John got hit by a plow and that plan was foiled when Karen woke up in the early morning hours and began looking for John. Once she arrived on scene, plan B had to be put in place.

Kevin Lenahan, you think she obtained new info? She went from believing he was cheating on her to he must be dead when he didn't come home 3 hours later. She KNOWS him, KNOWS he loves those kids more than anything, including her, she KNOWS he would not leave them alone all night, knowing that she was leaving and heading back to her house. She didn't gain new information, she RE-ASSESSED the situation based on her knowledge of him. Her calls to her parents may have realigned her so that logic prevailed over her emotions.
