SigNation, Mine was actually Ace Combat 6 beacuase of the badass moment where you are like fighting a 100 planes and suddenly all of your buddies come to your rescue. My second would be Ace Combat 4 and 5, because of the sexy briefing voice and Chopper respectively
AC0 and AC4 will always be my favorites. Round Table was awesome. All three times you went there felt like you were basically getting to prove your skills as Cipher grew as a pilot. An Excalibur's laser charge sound scared the shit out of me when I wasn't paying attention haha.
All Osean carrier sustained damage, not the Kestrel, also if I here that you have so much as scratched the Kestrel's paint I am going to shove some burst missiles into some rocket pods strap them to my F-14 fly to Farbanti and burn it all in a molten metal rain. #DontTouchTheKestrel
If you pause it right before it fades out of the scene with the ports, it mentions "Bana Port". Bana City again? Osea seems to have lost ports in every cardinal direction (north, south, east and west). Pause at roughly 58 seconds in, it's hard to see.

Actually Wardog was shot down IN TRAINING JETS. WITH NO GUNS OR MISSILES. They got shot down sure but Möbius 1 never had to go up in armed, and Möbius often had support from other squadrons.

That's the cool thing about ace Combat, there is no good or bad guy. Each country has they're own dark side. Even in ace combat 5 the yukes and the oseans were fighting for their own beliefs even though both sides were mislead into war
I'm guessing that the way the game's storyline is going to go, you will see how both sides view what caused the war and who each side feels is responsible. As a result the player may choose which side to support based on personal beliefs only to find out the truth towards the end of the game.

Let's see, we've been the lab mouse (ac3),the Jesus's messenger (AC04), mercenaries (ac zero), the antiwar moralists (twice) (ac5, ac6) and the weapon to surpass Metal Gear (ACX)... Then it would not be foolish to think about letting us choose to defect to Erusea during the first missions ...
We're probably spend half of the game fighting Eruseans, then we get an ebin dogfight with Mihaly at the Lighthouse where he "tests us", then we're told to commit a war crime and defect, then we're gonna fly for Mihaly and Eruseans
Actually, Erusea's the main enemy. The Erusean did steal the Space Elevator, which is INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY. And, of course, this will spark fury in the International Union (Strangereal's UN), as Erusea violated many International Union rules. So politically, it's a world war (Erusea vs the International Union)
You say that. But remember, multiple countries, including Central Usea and possibly Yuktobania, were also a part of the Space Elevator project. Erusea probably agreed to this project when it was a Federal Republic. Of course, this might have went downhill when the Federal Republic was reformed into a Kingdom

The game is going to launch on May 21st, 2018. That is why the numbers on the hangar door are shown. That is the sum of the first 2 numbers (3+2) and the sum of the numbers appearing behind the su30. If you notice the fact that the cannopy is hiding number 3, them, maybe the launch date will be May 18th. By the way, the game will be a simulation. That science guy made an AI and ran a simulation to see how it would fare on the real world.
There's something that someone else pointed out to me - the Space elevator is actually located in territory that in previous maps was shown belonging to the Republic of Amber, which was one of the nations Erusea invaded when they took Stonehenge and their whole conquest, before eventually being hurled out by ISAF. Which raises the question - how is that Erusean territory since ISAF restored Amber's territorial borders? And if Erusea is expanding again, why has ISAF not responded nor been reconstituted to defend against that threat?
Im thinking the whole "the space elevator is on out territory" is going to be a Falklands style dispute, where Osea has owned the land for many years. but at some point (if at all) the land belonged to Erusea, and they simply want the land back, now that it contains the super important space-elevator.

I wouldn't say that Ace Combat has always sided in the morally right. The best example is the Inferno Mission in AC0. Ustio was simply getting revenge on Belka and tossing bombs on civilian targets, which affected Larry to the point of defecting. Up till then, Belka had been the common enemy but the war became muddy since everyone was just trying to get a portion of B7R. This theme is probably going to be the same in AC7, and I'm more than happy for another multi-faceted story to experience.
I'm a simple man, if I'm given an order (in AC) I carry it out with ruthless efficiency. Now come here and take your medicine Chopper, you too Swordsman.
It's probably gonna be like this: 1. We fly for Osea 2. We refuse to follow orders when told to commit a war crime (dropping bombs on civilians, whatever) 3. We defect to Erusea
I think that Princess D'Elise watching her self on tv might be a hint at internal struggle. Perhaps being controlled by and unseen force behind the scenes. Anyway, you'll play as Osea and beat the Erusians more than likely, because it's Ace Combat and that's how it works.
I wonder if Namco is finally atoning for the watered down version of Ace Combat 3 they released in North America by giving us multiple story routes to choose this time around?
I would have liked it to be similar to Ace Combat 6 Fires Of Liberation. The Chandelier and the P-1112 Aigaion were terrifying weapons and Estovakia and Emmeria were exciting countries!

I do wonder if the F-18 is going to be the canon plane for Trigger. It's been shown so much, alongside the F-22. Maybe both are canon planes, a bit like how Mobius 1 starts with the F-4, then moves to the F-22 later on.
I am also rooting for #TeamErusea! Also I am thrilled that the Su35 has been confirmed, that's my favorite aircraft, followed by the Mig31, and Gripen. 2018 can't get here soon enough! :D
You know at this point i'm pretty certain what's going to happen is Osea has some sort of shadow gov't thing going on that's probably controlled by Belkans(Probably remnants from 5) and they begin development of drones leading to the Arsenal Bird and it's drones. At some point they somehow kidnap Rosa(And have some way of forcing her to help them and not just state she's kidnapped) and have their drones fly in Eruseain colors and attack Osea. They have Osea attack Erusea as a counterattack. Basically they use drones to false flag attack Osea and use that as an excuse to suddenly attack Erusea. Then put out a fake declaration of war from Rosa to the Osean people causing the people of both countries to think the other attacked for no reason. You end up either finding out about this or are too effective and the people behind the war want it to last longer and they can't let you end the war too soon. So you are put into a penal squadron and put on suicide missions to keep you from speaking out and hopefully get you killed. At some point you meet Rosa and through whatever means you end up rebelling and either join Erusea if said group isn't in control of them and fight back. Or if they are(Which explains why Mihaly fights you when you have the slash marks.) you form a special group to fight back against the shadow gov't in either case this is at which point you get the slashes on your tail.
That is an Su-30SM, I dont see how you cant tell the difference. 1. The Su-37 isnt a two seater 2. The vertical stabilizers on the Su-37 are a lot skinnier and taller than the regular Flankers
I hope to actually fight the mighty Osea Federation as a Kingdom of Erusea mercenary/military pilot and bring that peaceful by force nation to its knees, cause sent a shock wave that promise a sequel for Osea's revenge.

So basically Erusea wanted the space elevator for what, economic reasons? So they let Osea in to build it in a previous administration, right? And then the princess comes along and says "fuck you nobody wants you here now, give us your elevator and leave" as some way to get a free space elevator.
If they attacked St. Hewlett, then why is question about who attacked first even mentioned? It is on the opposite side of the continent and it wouldn't be attacked unless it is an initial surprise attack. Not to mention this trailer may contradict the one from E3.
Why would Erusia object to the construction of a space elevator? Wouldn't that be a massive tourist attraction and boost their economy? They have almost everything to gain if they simply cooperated, unless it was some sort of Evil Military Project, strange considering the likely peaceful foreign policy Osea would have no doubt pursued after licking their wounds from AC5.
maybe the new Osean Admin didnt follow president Harling's wishes? not to mention. 2020.. its the same year that they were suppose to release all records regarding wardog/razgriz squadron... hmmmm...

It looks like they didn't ask for permission, they simply barged in, annexed a part of Erusea and built an elevator there under cover of some international bullshit organization. Eruseans are not known for their patience so they declared war.
What if they're pulling an AC3 where you can choose to jump sides? I've always wanted them to play with that mechanic again. That or it's just Erusean propaganda framing the space elevator construction as evil in order to serve an agenda.
