Thanks for the great vid: gave me plenty of tips on how to approach targets! By the way, do you have a go-to-build for campaign, or in general parts you highly recommend?
I generally just go for maneuverability parts. Usually breaks (sometimes speed too), pitch, superior maneuverability, and queens custom. The last two or three slots I use for missile or sp homing, or ammo, or gun damage
@@RookFox the kind of targeting pod they’re talking about “paints” the target with an invisible laser (infrared). The bomb can see that laser and flies to it. The bomb would not be able to see the laser through clouds and coordinates are far too inaccurate to hit a missile silo
@@cybercat7851 I remember seeing a DCS video where an F-15E landed a laser guided bomb hit perfectly fine through clouds, but I don't know if it's quite the same, I don't know anything about air to ground.
You are getting this wrong: is the same principles of laser guided by troops, but with planes: the bomb is already ABOVE, so when they release it and pass the clouds, the “eye” Search for it and that’s where the guided part of the bomb move it, like the SAAM in the game, if the target is loose for a seconds far away, it can be corrected until is to late
No, I just do it for the dialogue, and adding to the comment above. You can actually see the dimensions of the silos and tell if they are real or fake.
