@@Emanouche The protagonist is a male. This game will have two narrators, one on the player's side (Avril...AKA the one on-screen,) and the enemy side (Dr. Schroeder...AKA the scientist from the trailers)
Massakre8492nd In the trailer they say he really is foolish....I would assume that comment was about Trigger (Us) so the gender of the player is a male.
@@ry0usama511 It helps to at least understand 0, 4 & 5. 0 Explains the Belkan War which happens before 4 but directly ties into 5 and shows the tensions on the Osean continent and the power of Belka. It seems 4 might possibly tie in with 7 as Erusia was the "enemy" against ISAF in 4 and now from the trailers they seem to be hostile towards Osea for whatever reason. BTW if you are wanting to get a quick overview of each of those games just find the Wikipedia page for each game and read the plot section, they do a pretty good job at explaining things.
Abbie's grandpa sounds alot like the older guy from AC5 that worked in the hanger in a cut scene and was also an enemy pilot who was shot down and was on the run with Capt Burtlett from the first Belkan war.
@@sammyh.748 I got what you were saying the first time around, was just pointing out the Grandpas voice. As for the dad being chopper, who knows. Its not like Chopper ever mentioned about a gurl back home during the time he was flying with Wardog squadron. So I would most likely say no to it being his daughter, unless they retcon it.
@@mirrorblade6268 Not so much for Assault Horizon imo. Last time I played it, I remembered the story feels like COD & Michael Bay bombastic lazy script. It doesn't feels like an Ace Combat-ish. Idk, I played that game a long time ago & it was suck to me back then.
Yeah, that franchise is amazing but it's been kinda niche, especially since it's been 12 years since we got a proper title, so all the long time fans are super excited, and many people are discovering it for the first time. The first time I played an Ace Combat game was Ace Combat 4. Picked it up from a mom and pop shop on whim because it was cheap and I was bored... after a while I was like "WHERE WERE YOU ALL MY LIFE!!?" haha. I've been hooked ever since. I'm hoping that this game will give that feeling to many new players. :D Not only that, this franchise gives you crazy flying skills after playing for a while and mastering it, I'm unbeatable in my circle of peers when it comes to dog fighting in any games that has it.

Could be Ace Combat X was on the PSP (awesome game definitely worth a play again if you played that one) and Ace Combat Joint Assault (my personal opinion is that it was a fun game but its not better than X)
@@tarnished439 I know it had no IFF, but it's still pretty shocking if fighter pilot in real life would act like that, particularly against something that would be little threat to them or anyone else :_ ... (Yes i know this is only a game, but it's still one trying to simulate reality and so likely real combat training/behaviour 😀 .)
I don't know how Osea does their air space control, but I'm pretty that under real world FAA rules, you would need to file a flight plan to fly supersonic in a civilian plane, so ATC would know you were out there. Even a Mode 3 transponder would provide some sort of aid in identification. ATC would at least give calls out on VHF guard to tell the civilians to get out of the way.
HawkeyeNFO117 this does take place in a war-torn, comet-torn civilization where probably a lot of civilian pilots just do without the hassle, and I’m guessing that’s what the protagonist did as well.
Remember Ace Combat 5 mission 21? Where they had planes painted with Osean and Yuktobanian markings? I'm purely speculating here, but that's probably how.
BNE should ask themselves why they allowed AC7 to be trailed prior to the launch of PSVR. Promoting their game as PSVR compatible when they must have known it was more than two years away and the PSVR compatibility was very limited. I’m a fan of the series and chances are will buy AC7 eventually but the marketing leaves a bitter taste.
"Crap, I should've put an IFF system in this piece of junk..." Without that IFF, the plane could be marked as hostile in a combat airspace. And without a radio to warn them off...
She could have at least started rocking her wings (doing short opposing aileron inputs); that's the typical signal that a civilian aircraft being intercepted by a military one is trying to comply with instructions.

@Int Navin Damnnn straight. That was real painful. Luckily it comes out in just a week, after 3-4 years of waiting. This is the only game I'd ever pre order
Don't worry. You see how much AC videos we're getting recently? That's because the game is less than a week from releasing. I'm sure they'll do the same for Jump Force as that closes in.
