Sidewinders! Sidewinders Everywhere! These games... it's like Michael Bay drank nothing but aviation grade Kerosene for six months then gave birth. HOW CAN MY BALLS TAKE THIS MUST TESTOSTERONE??
reading these 10 year old comments,, I wish that the trend of massive multiplayer "war" type lobbies was still a thing and not just SBMM and battlepasses...
hey, if you’re still interested in massive war games you should check out foxhole. it’s a ww1-ww2 inspired MMO where 2 factions of players fight for control of a massive continent. you can have shit tons of people fighting on one front, it’s insane.
I loved the hell out of the multiplayer matches back in the day. (Gets 6 missile locks with a super tomcat F-14 D fighter.) Enemy multiplayer team: Oh shi.... .BOOM.
ok now hear me out...Ace Combat battle royale but the map is huge and you can have squadrons of 4, airbases are a way to obtain special weapons and better aircrafts by landing and refueling tankers to heal but can be targeted if your squad doesn't cover you
I would have honestly preferred the music from the Close Range Assault trailer. Y'know, that awesome techno track they dangled in front of our faces since February and then CUT FROM THE GAME.
Those little ground based players can have their fun with their pop-guns. The rest of us will be fighting with weapons the size of the house you just ran through.
Nah. I really just want to create a whole battlespace that everyone can enjoy, whether you're a jet driver, or a foot soldier, or a tank commander, or the captain of a warship.
I actually thought they were pretty darn fun. Maybe it's because I was playing on the Normal difficulty though. And using the view without the helicopter or cockpit felt like a really casual FPS of a floating man.
@SolidSnake725 What a wonderful idea you gave me, Ace Combat pilots fighting the skies while Battlefield troops fight the ground battle on foot and in armour all somehow on the same server. PURE MULTIPLAYER BLISS.
just one time.....just once i'd be a happy man to hear in a MW game the callsign mobius-1 or any other callsign from the AC sereis right before an air strike, i know it wont happan but a man can dream....a man can dream
@Irano1995 if you can't find someone that's good at flying stop playing with ppl from Ace Combat...jk i like ace combat i just couldn't hold that one in
well I may have a theory to "break the ice" with the planes...my theory is separate the planes by Era...WW1 planes are paired up to face eachother, WWII planes, Vietnam planes and so on... it would be great to break up the pack so nobody is technically OP and you get the best historical accuracy along with a fair chance against similar planes...but it would ruin the game if it influenced arcade though...it could probably influence HRs or Full real battles, but its just an idea and not a reality
Did you hear about Dust 514. It is kind of doing the same thing with EVE online. As a soldier in Dust you can call in an orbital strike from someone playing in EVE.
The F-22 is too precious of an aircraft for USAF to even try to put them in dogfights right now. Don't get your hopes up too high. I'd stil prefer the Flanker E over the Raptor. I've always been a big Sukhoi fan.
This song is etched into my mind thanks to one particular series of matches on Dubai. Capital Conquest, myself and a player on the enemy team who was every bit as good as I was, almost a rival one could say. One match went a full half hour, and despite fighting each other the entire match, we could never secure the kill, always managing to slip out of reach. We stayed on opposing teams because if we teamed up, it wouldn't even be a contest for the other team. And this music was the backdrop to it all.
I love moments like that in games. When you and your opponent are both of a higher skill level, but you're also unable to surpass each other in the moment. You both know it's a challenge. You both want to win, but neither of you can. I've had those moments in other games. My proudest was going up in Evochron Mercenary against a woman who was touted to be one of the top three pilots in the entire game. I learned *fast* from her tactics. Like it was some Dragonball Z shit but in Space. After getting damaged by her novel tactic of using micro-jumps to flank me, a concept I had never seen before, I started to copy it until we were trading blows equally and we couldn't bring each other down. I couldn't beat her, but she failed to beat me. That brought me a lot of clout in that small community at the time, and it felt good. Her clan saw the whole duel. Afterwards, that same clan offered me to join. I liked being freelance too much, so I declined, but they still hired me for LOTS of mercenary work against their rivals. Those were fun days. Anyway, went off on a little tangent there from Ace Combat. Forgive me lol. I just had to tell the story.
@@SpadesNeil The first time I ran into the guy, he *flattened* me like 8-0. Next time, a few months later, it was 2-1 with the help of a wingman, but still in his favour- he shot me a message noting how I'd improved, though, to be able to give him such a hard time. The next time? 4-0 in my favour. Then a half dozen more matches where it was frequently 1-1 or 1-0, sometimes 2-1. The match I mentioned was in that string. When you're at the point of being able to 30-0 free for all matches in a low tier plane vs high tiers, having fights like that is a refreshing challenge!
I just figured this out. Ace combat AH looks like BF3s version of an Air simulator, and while you play a mission for example like red moon, look at the troop detail and graphics. They almost match BF3s. So AC:AH is BF3's of a Combat Flight Simulator.
@SolidSnake725 Yeah because AC:AH Multiplayer Is so much more entertaining than BF3s!....Everyone using F-22 Raptors and freaking taking forever to take down another guy that you and him just keep Countering against....I've had a 7 minute long dog fight once....Boring shit. Story is the only thing that keeps me coming back to AC.
@USSWISCONSIN64 No argument there. Ace Combat was ridiculously entertaining compared to games like HAWX, which in all fairness is a Tom Clancy game and shoots for a realism effect but fails to capture the same arcade-style experience.
@killerkirbydude well wargaming net (the website that made world of tanks) is way ahead of ya. They got world of tanks, world of warplanes (which is in closed beta) and world of warships (alpha to begin in april or may.)
@FireDragonKaryu basically do what wargaming is planning to do with World of Tanks and World of Warplanes have the two cross over for airstrikes or air superioirty
@USSWISCONSIN64 Unfortunately I'm an AC Veteran and I hate to say that I'm outmatched by BF3 pilots simply because they've played long enough to gain so many plane upgrades.
@tlakin1255 I'm talking like World of Tanks, but with ships. So you'd start off with, say, a corvette, and you'd climb the ranks through frigate, destroyer, light cruiser, heavy cruiser, battlecruiser, battleship, dreadnought, and super-dreadnought. One person controlling one ship, you know? All the ships would be in the same battle, regardless of size, but it'd still be balanced because small ships can carry torpedoes. Carriers would just be AI bases for Ace Combat players to fly off.
You know which game would simply be the greatest game ever created? A game on the scale of ArmA 3 that incorporated the flight dynamics of the Ace Combat series, the interface and weapons selections of Modern Warfare 3, and the damage realism and environment destructibility of ArmA and Battlefield 3.
