If he said that. Man could you imagine what he would have been like? I can't, because he is fantastic in my book. He definitely has his style, I really love it.
Two great artist reuniting for Fire and Water is simply fantastic!!!! Love Ace's guitar work, no one better. And to hear Paul's voice in this video without any straining is a blessing that I hope continues for him. Always loved his vocals. Sing with heart and passion. One of the very best in rock 'n' roll. Great job by everyone involved. Thank you for doing this for all of your fans. Blessings to both of you.
Ace Frehley... Technically talented: no way (he confessed he doesn't know even how to read music). However, he's got something you cannot learn in an academy: FEELING. He's pure feeling, raw, rude an untidy feeling. He is, by far, the best KISS member. He's the one who added rock and roll and passion to KISS. All his songs as a KISS member are great. I love all his solo albums as well. This album is just AWE-SOME. I cannot stop listening to "Wild Thing". Does anyone have a clue about Volume II? Release date? Songs? Thanks!
+Benjamin Breeg Ace is doing another originals album first before Origins Vol.2 is released.I've had this cd playing non stop in my trucks cd player since I got it ...awesome !! I find like this song, every song can be enjoyed & appreciated even more after every listen ..this song grew on me & now I'll listen to it 3 X's in a row or more !!
Benjamin Breeg No problem & just to let you know Ace is on the cover of "Guitar World" with Slash & theres a really cool interview inside along with many cool pics. Ace is on fire rite now !!
After KISS does their Freedom to Rock tour, Ace should go on tour and during this song, he should have Paul come out and make a special appearance at each show. Like Roger Waters did with David Gilmour on a tour of the Wall in 2011.
Now, why couldn't this have been a new KISS single in 2016? Though it's a cover, this totally sounds like a classic KISS single/performance. (The same goes for Frehley's 2018 duets with Gene Simmons, "Without You, I'm Nothing" and "Your Wish Is My Command".) Imagine if this had been a KISS video, with and without the kabuki make-up?! How come I never heard this on the radio, 8 years ago?! This deserved to be a Top 10 radio staple. Thank you, Space-ace and Star-child.
Paul Kossoff era único, está difícil que haya un guitarrista que pueda tocar los solos como él. Sin embargo, admiro a estas personas, fieles admiradores de Free, me gusta que contribuyan en no dejar morir esta gran banda. Buen tributo.
+Rick Baker Actually for this to be Kiss, Gene Simmons has to be present as well. Truthfully for the drummer, it doesn't matter to me if it's Peter Criss or Eric Singer. I don't like their current lead guitarist, Tommy Thayer. He sucks. Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley need to boot him out and bring back the REAL Spaceman, Ace Frehley before they officially retire. That is an imperative must! Ace is a self made perfectionist but Tommy is a worthless, non-talented hack. ~Dutch
YouCantHoldOnTooLong From everything Ace said, Gene was contacted but never returned his calls. I'm sure when Paul signed on, Gene was instructed to bug off. Paul tends to hog the spotlight for himself.
I don't either BUTT (get the ass joke?) I think Rainy Day is saying that even for a 54 year old man his penis might still feel good up his/her ass. Something like that?
Paul at 80 years old still sings great, yes, he doesn't look like the one who recorded "Every Time At Look At You" or the one who recorded "I Still Love You" but he still sounds great, let's talk about Ace and his solo the guy is like wine, no, he's like milk rather, he's rotten, Ace your solos were great in the 70's, now any 15 year old boy plays much better than you, bro the guitar solo has like 2 notes and lasts 40 seconds, it's not like Shock Me which in 1977 was considered a "virtuoso" solo, the rhythm of the song is heavy like a metal song, like Iron Maiden or Black Sabbath, I would define it more as the Motley Cruel of the 90s, wait a second, the guys from Kiss did this? No, it didn't fit them well, they had never made a rhythm like that, and and that's how bad it turned out, I would prefer something more upbeat more "Kiss 80" or why not go back to Rock And Roll All Nite? Well, that's my review.
+pv12261963 that,s what I,ve been saying !!!!! get up off there ass,s and get back doing what they do best .........I mean besides fighting with each other and having big ass ego,s and shit . I guess us fans would have better luck with hell freezing over than seeing kiss reunite and actually tour again !! and what,s up with this one song bullshit from paul and ace ?? I guess there just trying to tease us with a little something . come on guy,s reunite kiss and let,s get on with the shit and quit playing paddy cake . you know that,s what the fans want anyway.....................so let,s rock and roll all night and party every day !!!!!!!! damn it man
Paul's vocal issues are more severe than whatever physical issues Peter has...not to mention that Peter can still sing exactly the way he did in the 1970's, which is impressive compared to the other guys in the band.
What about Rob? Paul dosen’t even sing to his songs anymore didn’t you see tears are falling from their ”kiss” tour and Ace and Peter are kiss Paul and gene are just in for the money
@@_vixen_4504 I know, but you can't say anything about Kiss without the two guys that started it. Ace bailed on them and is the LAZIEST guitarist ever.
+platthepollutypus you must be deaf. Both these guys are legends for good reason. But to say they are better than ever is just senseless pandering. Pauls voice is SHOT ... and albums of golden oldie covers? thats SAD
+vladlashing Why don't you actually read a comment before opening your crusty, festering piehole. He never said better than ever he said better than a long time which is true. Just say no to meth you dumb fartbag.
Seeing this for the first time in 2024. It’s a shame there’s been so much animosity between the members of KISS. They really do rock together very well. I wish Paul was still writing and performing.
+Homme Carpet I met Peter Criss today, and he seems totally fine. Really cool guy! Cares a lot about his fans. Got him to sign my "Rock And Roll Over" record.
This was made for a cover album, and most fans of early KISS like classic rock, so probably a lot of them. Free was a huge influence on Paul Stanley too, and he even based Hotter Than Hell off of All Right Now (which he and Ace almost covered instead of Fire and Water).
Michael Leidy you'd be surprised at the number of fans of classic rock that have never even heard of Free, let alone listened to any of their material. I'm sure there are some KISS fans that listen to Free but I wouldn't go so far as to say there's many of them. Free also heavily influenced Lynyrd Skynyrd and yet loads more people have listened to Skynyrd than Free...
To me i always thought Ace and Paul were the two guys that were really behind the KISS sound. I would love to see KISS call it quit's and see Ace and Paul do a complete collaboration album together! Please KISS fans vote for it!!!!
Great idea! I think that I always felt that way too. Gene is the ego/showman. Peter is a great drummer and good singer, but he just never seemed to fit, somehow. Always seemed like the odd man out. This song is really good! Paul just singing normally. Not screaming or straining. Great combination!
@Andrew Salter Gene has the peoples perception that he is a greedy controlling egomaniac but it´s just his cultivated public persona, watching a few vault experiences etc you can see he is almost the opposite of that. Given the choice I think most would rather hang out with Gene than f.i with Paul.
Gene is probably thinking, "Damn, why didn't I answer the phone when Ace called me?" Because now everyone's talking about Paul and Ace and not Gene, which probably drives him crazy. lol
I love Ace. He's, hands down, the coolest member of Kiss. However, that being said, Paul is no slouch. He looks fantastic, and his vocals are still top notch. Very impressive. Paul is an excellent example of the virtues of hard work and clean living.
The only reason I came to check this out was that I read an interview with Ace saying Paul did a great vocal on this,I found that hard to believe as Paul has sounded like shit for years now.I have to admit I was impressed as the original is sung by one of the greatest vocalist of our time Paul Rodgers.Paul Stanley should sing in this lower register more often he sounded fantastic on this track.
I had read an article a few days ago that (I don't know who had said that Gene or Paul, I'm not sure) That Ace and Peter maybe would rejoin the band for the KISS: End of the Road tour.
Strutter solo is better! With the exception of love gun. If you can play alive album you've got Ace figured out. I didn't say it was easy to do! Ace is a major influence to many
These 2 def still have it...chemistry works that way, people don't choose to have it...it's either there or it isn't...ace and Paul will always have no matter how much time passes!
GamezOf War absolutely! Maybe Paul should consider that. Ace has the magic and Tommy Thayer never will, not that he's a bad guy or anything. It's just not there
Paul and Ace. Two musicians who got much better at their craft as time went on. Two of the very best, now. I'm thrilled to hear them do the title track of Free's last studio album. It's an iconic Free song, and Paul and Ace do it justice!! Extremely well done!!
This is 100% good PR for Paul. It would make no since to not have done this or theis song. Ace has proved that 10 yrs sober he can kick it out. Selling well and a good recording contract behind him, its a win win for Paul.
+scott sailer Nice PR for Paul however, its as fake and insincere as Kim Kardashian in church. Paul and Gene demolished ALL their credibility ages ago regarding ever having any respect towards past band members. Im sure at some point Paul will write about this experience and start more crap with Ace. I can only imagine Paul saying that it was "his" idea and he wanted to "help" Ace.
As I said, its a win win for Paul. Although He did agree to do the song, and Ace did reach out to him and Gene. So was this his idea or E1's We dont know. Paul knows how to stay in the lime light and it works. E1 knows how to promote and this is what they needed.
Anything kiss is better than no kiss. Most historical band ever. Set themselves apart from everyone else. Concerts still kick ass. Thank you guys for all the years of rockin our brains out.
these two have a weird relationship, they really don't like eachother but when they meet up they act like they like eachother and they take it up a notch by appearing in eachothers video after throwing around comments about one another. And when they finally meet up they come to the conlusion they actually do like one another, so they decide to pretend to not like eachother just for the lolz ... Or maybe the musicians behind the mask really like eachother and the Kiss characters really don't like eachother, seems like a logical conclusion .... i think
+Machinedead Paul in general does NOT like anyone at all. Read his book he even trashed Eric Carr, that's when I lost ALL respect for Paul. His ego is the size of the Empire State building almost as big as Gene's. Im sure Paul will trash this moment in a later interview and make his "usual" claim that he was only helping loser Ace. Paul has NEVER gotten over Ace's popularity, crazy charisma, sloppy talent and major appeal. So, to remedy that they have two FAKE dudes in makeup.
Peter hand,t been the same since his car crash in 78. Then the self destruction mode from substance abuse onwards really fuk s a person up,especially drummers.moto n co,ordination skills suffer big time.plus peter was like 10yrs older than the others.
my mouth is literally on the floor right now. I cannot say enough kudos to both of them...they are still rocking at 60 plus. I would have NEVER thought this would happen years ago..I still LOVE hard stuff too and I'm 63! I think once it's in your veins it just doesn't ever go away.
+Scorpioz Venomiz Rizing and yet, here you are pretending to be a tough lil guy on the Internet. We all know you wouldn't dare say shit to anyone face to face
Ace frehley is an icon,he is what rock in the 70,s was all about, no one else sounded or bent notes n had a natural tremello like him, he's my idol n I'm a drummer.
The most exciting thing that can happen in the Kiss world now is to form "The Stanley/Frehley Experience' and do an album and tour. Selected Kiss songs and both guys solo songs. Would be brilliant!
+Mr. Mojo Risin I like paul and yes he has a wig but so the f*** what..I hear ya!! how do you know he's in good physical shape??? groupie??? ha ha asswipe!!!!!!!!!!!

Singing octaves below your normal range in a studio setting with the benefit of post processing means absolutely nothing. Paul's voice is fucked sideways live, he can't carry a note to save his life nowadays.
The thing is songs like these Paul can sing because he’s not putting that much pressure into it like he normally does if it was 2003 Paul then he would’ve sung hard on it
This is why Paul is lip syncing every track on the road now. I love how him and Gene used to talk so much crap about other people lip syncing and now it’s how Paul gets through every show
I've seen many variations of Kiss over the years. However, when the original four took the stage, there was a special magic that happened. Kiss will always be Paul, Peter, Gene, and especially Ace. Any other lineup and they're just a cover band.
Musically, they were much better in the 1980s, though. Things startet getting better when Eric Carr joined the band (also, Anton Figg did some great studio work).
@@fundhund62 Musically? Maybe so! Magically.....not so much. I agree Paul, Gene, Peter, and Ace are the REAL KISS!! (No, Gene.. it's not just you!) lol Edit: Eric Carr was a good dude! Nothing against any other members, but it's like'... when something breaks you glue it or use duct tape. It just works! Glue is nice. Tape is sturdy...but in the back of your mind you know that you are just prolonging this "thing" and It is always better if it is in its "original" form. Thanx! Peace!
it's called an Ibanez Iceman - he designed it himself in 1977 on a tour to Japan. It's a classic.

@@johnnyrotten5507 - I went to high school (graduated in 1983) with a classmate who had his own band & the exact same guitar: make, model , & year. I hope he still has it. A definite collector's item, along with the original Kramer Gene Simmons Axe bass, made around 1979 with the aluminum neck. I started playing bass in 1982. If I'd known that at the time, I'd have bought one. The ones made now by Cort can never stand up to the old Kramers.
@@johnnyrotten5507 Yes! And maybe someday I can afford one! I know they have a $299.00 version, I almost bought one. What stopped me? Wondering why there was also a $4,999.00 dollar version! Oh well. Awesome guitar, for sure a classic!
As close of a reunion as we will probably ever see from KISS. These are the two that counted the most in my opinion anyway. Great song. Great video. Real Rock n Roll from those who do it best.
