A couple of corrections / points to keep in the mind: 0) The crosswind isn't measured in the optimal way in this one. In one sentence without explanation, while a) proning and b) no obstacles (such as map objects or terrain itself) between the measurer and the wind, if you divide the got value with 0.6, you get a value very close to the true crosswind. This is something I figured out later in editor. It's based on the terrain based wind simulation. I might make a vid about it at some point. 1) While copying the drag coefficient table from a vanilla gun to another gun, keep this in mind: Even if they're using the same caliber, the whole point of drag coef table is to take the changing bullet velocity into account. However, different guns have different barrel lengths --> different muzzle velocities --> the c1 coef changes at a different pace (meaning the corrected c1 coef at 1000 meters isn't the same for mk14 and sr25, for example, even if you were using the same ammo, due to the difference in the barrel length) 2) SSWT kit indeed can be useful for example, when shooting through a window without exposing the barrel. While not in urban area, however, while it might give you a bit better angle, keep in mind that it also makes you a bigger target 3) Adjusting the horizontal/vertical hold by aim (as I do at 11:30 works only when the rectangle of the gun updates when you zoom in and out (= whichever the zoom, the space between mildots must always be 1 millradian). At least vanilla and RHS scopes seem to update them correctly.

Why show us a method with two winds, if in a combat situation we will not have an idea of the wind strength of the target ?!

I also noticed you didn't talk about Latitude for the AtragMX. I am shooting at targets that are a kilometer or more out as well so if you could mimic that sort of range as well, that would be awesome. Thank you again for your videos!

As for the latitude, I think I linked the file for some of the videos github.com/acemod/ACE3/blob/master/addons/common/functions/fnc_getMapData.sqf for example, if (_map in ["tanoa"]) exitWith { [-18, 0] }; --> Latitude: -18 At the end they kinda hint that if the map you use isn't in the list, just go with 0. Or that's how I interpret "Return empty array if we have no specific data for the map"

Hello, I am trying to be as accurate as possible and I have been watching your sniper videos. I get the elevation spot on, but I can never seem to make the wind calculations correctly. I also can't figure out how to do a drag Coefficient table for any new guns I make which throws off my aim when not using a vanilla gun. I do use the range card. Could you make a video explaining drag Coefficient tables on the AtragMX and how to us it. Also, could you make another video about wind, but with higher wind speeds, such as Five meters per second from eleven O' clock to five O' clock from a mountain shooting into a significantly lower elevation. Thank you for your videos!

Ah yeah, I managed to avoid this one completely :D. I also did this to "be as accurate as possible" but that's still kind of work in progress. Short answer: If it is possible to improve much, it has to get even more complex and I really doubt atrag could keep up (at least while being any efficient). Starting with wind I can answer pretty comfortably: If there's no inclination, the wind doesn't really matter. Using crosswind does the trick as well as I could hope for. At least there's barely any difference. (Haven't tested but) I suppose you could, for the sake of experimenting, try calculating 3 different pairs of values for the same target: 1 with no wind (NW), 1 with crosswind(CW) and 1 with headwind(HW). Then you could try to do sth like NW + (CW-NW)(should affect mainly wind) + (HW-NW)(should affect mainly elevation, but less than CW-NW affected wind) for both elevation and wind hold. So basically you would separately calculate the change in wind and change in elevation and then add them to the "pure base value", NW. This could be complete waste of time, though :D. I doubt you'd get much more accurate. With drag coef, I'm as lost as you are. I got it to work once, but at the end of the day, I didn't get any consistent results. I don't think I mentioned it anywhere, but you should bear in mind that different guns have different barrel lengths and thus different muzzle velocities which again affect the C1 coefs. So the drag coef table of vanilla Mk14 isn't exactly the same as any 7,62 weapon that uses the same ammo. There's a tab for truing tool in ace3 manual. The link to the "real manual" of atragmx can also be found from ace3 files but I doubt if that helps too much. Ace wiki (you probs find everything you need here:) ace3mod.com/wiki/feature/atragmx.html#33-example-with-truing-tool Real manual: github.com/acemod/ACE3/blob/master/extras/manual_Horus_ATrag-v385.pdf Terrain is a pain. My guess is that since the terrain affects the wind (as demonstrated in this video), it will also affect the amount the bullet gets swayed. I don't really have any lifehaxxx for solving this other than what I said in the video.
