ACEDECK ARES X1 electric skateboard 

i am a meepo hurricane driver, but i like this board very much too.

I'm a 100kg and was able to get 21 miles of hills and hard riding with 3/10 bars remaining on my 2WD running the 200mm pneumatics. It's a beast

I wish I could put these trucks on my Hurricane. Matter of fact I wish I could put Zeus Trucks on my Hurricane. This looks more like an OG Zeus type of board than what I was expecting from 14s.

I pulled the trigger today on the ares X1 2wd. I was looking at this board for months and I think it’s one of the best looking boards. Although I kinda wish the board had more wheel options and standard size bearings, I like speed and range so I think this board will fit my needs. Your reviews are great!

I was about to pull the trigger on the new Hammer Sledge (I own the Hammer) but the reviews on the Ares X1 are insane. People are in love with this board which now has me leaning towards it. I’ll do 4WD because I ride off road a lot in the Pacific Northwest with tons of hills.

Hey Unity! Great vid. I am curious as to your thought of the durability of the CNC trucks…especially with the open spaces. Forged are going to be stronger and with the open sections, there are some pretty thin areas on those trucks. A little worried about taking some hard hits and crystalizing those thin spots…then having them snap. Having put your eyes on them, what do. You think? Appreciate the work Dude!!

Been looking for a good AT board that’s got clearance and can be used for racing. This may be a good fit. Is there a way to mount bindings?

Ia this the beltdrive 2wd? Or the 2023 geardrive... (Im kinda on the fence if i should get the ares 2023 (gear) or the nomad n1... I like the looks of nomad, but i guess the ares carbon has a lot more clearence for curbs?

Finally ordered my first 2 in 1 board, went for the original ares. Any suggestions for street wheels in the 105-120mm range? I wasn't sure how much ground clearance the ares might need. I also haven't seen many videos showing street wheels for the x1

loved the video. just a question, as a i recently had a motor failure on my Meepo V4 Shuffle that caused a fairly severe injury. is 2wd objectively less safe than awd for boards? I live in upstate ny with somewhat rough roads and consistent hills and now need to invest in a new board, so I’d appreciate any input. Regardless, thanks for the great video.

Awesome review man, so glad I found your channel. I know you didn't do a full range review, but is it safe to say you'd get around 35 mi more or less? Also, I carve about as much as you do, how's the stability at 30+ mph?

Unity, I don't know how much time you have had to really dig into this board, but I found something else that is very interesting and would like to have your input. As I am reviewing the X1, I see that I can access two sub menus for board settings. I noticed that under number 6 (BATT TYPE) of the second sub menu, the setting is 18650. The X1 is advertised as having a Molicel 21700 P42A 21700 battery. If that is the case, why: 1. Is there no option for the 21700? 2. Why is the setting at 18650 as that is a cell with less capacity? 3. Why is there no option for 21700? A Molicel 21700 is a 4200mAh battery with 42A. The 18650 is a 2600mAh battery with 26A. Does the X1 actually have 21700 cells or are the 18650 cells actually being used? I find it interesting there is no 21700 setting if the battery is a Molicel 21700. Thoughts?

Unity, I received the X1 and have a very important question for you. In my initial two an only ride tests of this board, did you get deep enought into the battery that you reached the low battery vibration? And if so, were you at about three bars on the remote? And if so, did you board just all of sudden shut down? On my first test ride, the low battery indicator hit the controller. About five blocks later the board did a short hesitation and then all of sudden shut down. It actually locked up the rear left wheel and left a skid mark. I obviously ran off the board. I contacted ACEDECK and they asked if had done the update…of which I hadn’t because I knew nothing of the update that needed to be done. I then did the update the next morning. Charged the board. Took the board out for another test ride, and it did the same thing except this time the low battery hit the controller and two seconds (and I do mean two seconds) later the board just died. In both cases the board would not turn on as the battery was dead. I know if both cases the remote indicated there was at least three bars or about 30% of the battery left. I am curious if you saw this in your testing.

I wonder how the new ares will perform. Gear drive and 90 amp esc, based off watching the nomad the acceleration should be ridiculous. Oh and tubeless tires. It is sad that it's stuck with pneumatics though

i got a meepo huricane and everything on it sucks it is like impossble to tighten the belts witch btw when i bought it it was alreddy lose including the screws also loose and the front and back trucks can move up and down on the deck bc the enginearing sucks and the screws broke its bad quality

I agree the ability to swap wheels out is a huge deal breaker

bought looks a bit too stiff to be comfortable offroad? Would love to see a Zeuz Pro, Atlas Pro, Backfire Sledge, Acedeck comparisson.
