This is excellent and methodical, well done , my triton is due a repaste ( 3070 model ) , regularly hits 100 degrees on cpu ,

i recommend use good quality paste and pads..Gelid Ultimate for pads and Noctua NT-H2 for paste. don't hesitate on paste, put enough or more then spread it evenly on the die..it would improves thermals. hope this helps! thanks!

You could use throttle stop to undervolt your cpu...or just disable turbo boost... disabling turbo boost will lower CPU temp significantly.

I suggest, always disconnect the battery terminal first before removing any hardware on your laptop. thats the safest practice. but some laptop RAM can be easilly accesed through the back without removing the entire backcover..so, it should be fine removing and upgrading the RAM without disconnecting the battery terminal.

I just got a RAM upgrade (Predator triton 500 model PT515-52). My TURBO button wont light or work. but the turbo mode on my predator sense working. I re installed my predator sense and Quick access already and its still not working. What can I do to fix it? Does the technician forget to plug something inside?

well, the only way to find out is to open and check the connector bro..but i suggest if the software itself works fine..just don't bother about the light thats not working, thats only aesthetics. the most important it works fine.

Hello Matey! I just watched the entire video as I am not 100% confident about tackling a re-paste / teardown but this gives me a lot of confidence! Can you just clarify which thermal paste and arctic thermal pads you used? I had a look in the description of the products you've posted but I am not sure which exactly as I want to replicate what you did here. My Triton's coming up two years old and seems to be increasing in temps and I want to make sure I can keep this badboy going for a few more years! Should I buy 0.5mm or 1mm thermal pad with liquid metal on GPU/CPU?

I should say you better go for 1mm Thermal pads for the VRAM chips and good quality thermal paste like NOCTUA NT H2 for the CPU & GPU..personally, i don't recommend Liquid metal unless you know what you're doing., because its a bit delicate process to put it on, one mess could potentially cause you short circuit in you board. but if you put it on correctly, i think its gonna be worthied.

@@TakeThatScrewOut I’ve already put it and it has god level cooling but in AAA games, gpu vram locks itself to 810mhz so I thought it’s because vram paste… I could mess them up a little bit😅

Hello bro, they have different speaker setup..the Helios is a bit thicker compare to the Triton.

Great video to make things easier. Could you confirm that the PCH chipset is the one just below the nvme slot 1? Mine goes up to 101C while playing Horizon Forbidden West, which is crazy. No wonder the fans do nothing on cooling it down. I think I will move the system drive to another slot. I was planning to use all 3 slots, but... What a bad design from Acer. What are your recommendations? Thanks.

Is the black tape reusable?, the one that connecting fan with heatsink, i saw that you open it in a half side.

Hi bro! those tape are stock from factory..but that could be reusable if you remove them carefully not to tear them apart..but make sure before you tick them back feel the sticky side if still do the job..otherwise you should replace them with a fresh one. you can find alternative High temp resistant tape in Amazon or ebay.

Note the code number, check the Manual that came with your motherboard all fault error codes are all there..or just Google it " PC ERROR CODE (CODE NUMBER) " or Use a BING ChatGPT.

Hi bro! Yes you can! Triton 300 models Memory can be upgraded, you can throw in 32gb (2 x 16gb) RAM..just check the stock RAM ddr4 and get higher capacity and similar or faster Speed.

Do all the components that don’t need pasting using 1 mm thermal padding? I have 1 mm and .05 mm at my disposal. Also, what are the tools you used to pry open the laptop and also to disconnect the fans?

Hi bro! those areas has brown pads, actually that was a Thermal putty. but you can definitely use Thermal Pads instead..that could give you similar results on thermals..use 1mm Thermal Pads on the VRAMS. and regarding the Prying tools..theres a link on the description for Amazon or you can find then mostly online like ebay or Alixpress. and i used a special Pliers to safely disconnect a Fan connector link on Description as well.

@@itstoasty7089 The stock tape that they use are High Performance & Ultra heat resistent tape..they are exclusive from manufacturer..but you can easily find an alternative that has same Performance, try to search it on Amazon " Heat Resistant Tape / High Temperature transfer tape "

1. Is it posible to remove the fans without the whole heatsink? 2. If i have to remove the whole heatsink, is it nessessary to replace thermalpaste? (Does heatsink removing ruin thermalpaste? ) I just want to clean the fans , a bunch of hair stuck in it

Hi bro! Yes, 1.) definitely you could remove both Fans and clean them without removing the Heatsink..but PAY ATTENTION by doing so, because there's a THICK BLACK ribbon that attached from the Fan to the Heatsink Pipes, that ribbon's purpose to let all the air from the fan blows directly to the pipes..so, that should be resealed back where it should. 2.) Yes, everytime you separate the heatsink from the Die Plate..you should always APPLY A FRESH Thermal Paste.

Be aware, this laptop uses a Thermal Putty instead of Thermal Pads on smaller chips like the VRAM chips..but i've used both thermal paste both CPU and GPU die and the VRAM instead of putty on this tutorial beacuse i've run out of Thermal Putty on my studio during the Tutorial..but i can guarantee they have a same performance.
