that tree is bloody gorgeous the leaf looks very similar in shape to the tree of winterfell would be nice if a seedling from aureum grew to be a red leaf variety, imagine that acer shirasawanum winterfellium

Any planting recommendations? I just bought one and plan to plant it in the spring. my back yard faces west and gets dappled sunlight. I live in zone 6

So what’s your sun exposure like? I have one coming this May, a larger one in a 7 gallon pot, but will be in a pot since I’m in zone 4b. I’ve heard it doesn’t handle hardly any direct sunlight and dabbled morning sun is almost the only way to go. I have a perfect spot for it where it’ll get just morning dappled sun or can put it in a spot in my garden where it’ll get just a few hours of morning sun. Any help would be really appreciated.

I have two and both are pink...should I be concerned?

Hi mate I really want one of these and seen them in a local garden centre, the problem is the only location I have is gonna be direct sunlight for possibly 5 hours from 11 till 4.. cut a long story short am I wasting my time planting it in this much sun lol. Love this variety. Yours is a stunner!

The main problem is the ones you see in the garden centre are few and far between, and they are normally poorly grafted and tall and leggy, and also a ridiculous price! i have been searching for a nice specimen for years.
