There are a whole lot of nice, expensive laptops out there, but there's also nice, inexpensive ones, too. If you're looking for a budget laptop ($650), that isn't lacking in performance, then you're in luck.
Sure, there are those better laptops out there, but the Acer Swift 3 rocks a Core i5-7200U processor, which puts a lot of heart into its performance. With its interior performance power, the Acer Swift 3 is matched with a passably designed, metallic-brushed exterior. It's not the best, but it's definitely not bad for what you're paying.
There's a great port selection that packs a 256GB SSD, making opening your applications quicker, and your boot times faster. The Acer Swift 3 is mighty for its size, but it also runs out of juice a litter quicker than most laptops.
If you're looking for a laptop, and aren't looking to shell out money for a top-of-the-line machine, then the Acer Swift 3 is definitely worth checking out.

I have a Swift 3. mine has a 13' display? Weighs 1.5 KG I paid $600.00 for mine. I made the switch from mac os no problem. Great deal for the price. I don't play games.

It's ok. The screen works perfectly fine in the shade although it doesn't get too bright. But in having any kind of direct sunlight falling on it will make it hard to see anything. That being said, I only notice the sun glare being a problem when I'm gaming because it means I might miss seeing the enemy, hahaha. It's ok otherwise.

The Acer Swift 3 with the Ryzen APU should be good for you (or the one with the i5 and MX150), unless you want a budget laptop then go for the E5 576G with the MX150. Feel free to drop the graphics card if you don't want it.

I got the core i5 8250U, 8g ram , 256g of ssd and is 15.6 inch version which can run Fortnite at medium setting at around 60 to 80 FPS for £599( sorry I edited it I miss typed 699 instead of 599) and I bought this laptop instead of the Acer Aspire e15 as they were not manufactured anymore( probably because of computer part price rise )but this is basically the same but more lightweight and and has a better cpu

For anyone who is asking,no it is not loud enough to be annoying in my opinion the thermals no they aren’t the best it gets hot near the top . But the worst problem I have is that the speaker is very weirdly placed and sound muffling is a common problem as it is placed at the bottom but basically this laptop is good for it priced and is perfect for people who wants to do light gaming but needs something to manage all types of work so it fits perfectly for me (I’m a uni student)

Buddy I have the same laptop but the 14" version. Either way I am a fan. Much like you said it does not get significantly loud but I have to say that I'm a fan of the keyboard. Display size and brightness is nice. finger print reader is a nice touch and the SSD in here is amazing. Overall impressed :D

Its not even good man! I have that laptop at home and i cant even use it. I open chrome to update my emails but its cpu, memory and hdd went 100%. Its not good because its worst. No hard feelings 😶

Is the mouse left key on the left side or is it like a MacBook where you click with two fingers to use the "left" key? Is the battery life about 10 hours no matter if I am using the laptop or its on but not used, or 10 hours only when im actually using it? Basically what I am asking is do I have to turn it off after each use in order for the 10 hour battery life to actually be 10 hours of actually using it?

Thanks for sharing. I would like to add, recently I left town without my charge cord. I could not find any adapters on the market that would fit this machine anywhere due to its slim design it take a plug in the size of a headset. I wouldn't do that again.

Jimmy Limando a very good one actually. This dumb reviewer days it's not really good at gaming but in fact the card is the Nvidia mx150 which can pay any game or the if you're willing to drop down the resolution to 720p low for the most demanding game but can use 1080p full for older games.

Rob Colclough Nvidia mx150 gpu. It's actually quite good for the price and portability. Plays any game, as long as you drop to 720p in some cases... But will do 720p high, 1080p low or high on other games.

You can get a sub 300 laptop, just don't expect it to have the latest core processors, a HD screen with IPS technology, a fingerprint sensor, a thin, metal body and a backlighted keyboard.

Kdf Syahmi I have the latest Acer Swift 3 model and it comes with an 8th gen i5 and an Nvidia mx150 which is better than the 940mx. The price is about 730 USD without taxes on Amazon and the model number is sf314-52g-55wq. With a 15 dollar cooling pad I'm able to play any AAA game with acceptable settings for a compact laptop. It has an Intel M.2 SSD that the specifications don't mention, so it's plenty fast with the quad core and 8gb ram. Should be perfectly fine for college work since that is what I use it for as well.

CharlieMason In my country,there is no acer swift 3 that comes with nvidia graphics.All the model come with intel hd 620 and 256 gb ssd storage.There is no other option.You can only choose between the 4gb or 8gb of ram.Even there is a model with nvidia graphics the price will be much higher than the intel hd model.The basic model of acer swift 3 with intel hd 620 + 4gb of ram + 256gb ssd cost around $700 here in my country.Imagine if there is other higher specs of this model how much that would cost.As you can see i'm a student and i could not afford more than that,Meanwhile, asus vivobook s15 comes with nvidia mx940 with 4gb of ram and 1tb hardisk+128gb of ssd which also cost around $700 here.Which do you think will be a better choice for me? Btw thanks in advanced.

Kdf Syahmi In that case get the Vivo, it'll run just fine all things considered and the graphics is still much better than Intel integrated. My only concern would be the ram. If possible get 8Gb, otherwise 4 is still fine. Just don't use chrome, lol.

yeah, but it wouldn't be the smoothest experience I think you can get a dell xps 13 which will be better for 100$ more, but this should be great considering you have an 256GB ssd in here, just make sure to get an external ssd for the most efficient workflow
